I brought some points recently. Alot of downloadable content is coming out soon for games i own.. but i would like to get an arcade game with the downloadable content, It is between this. And banjo and kazuie (Not sure how u spell that) I use to play both when i was a kid.
most arcade games ive realised there is no saving?! can i save this..?
and is it a long game?
i dont care much about the acheivments.. i just care about how long the game is.. if its a short 6level game then il probably leave it.

Duke Nukem 3D is a pretty long game, and I found it very fun to play. Havn't played Banjo Kazooie yet, I did play when I was a kid but it just isn't really my type of game now.

I only tried it once and I got a game within a minute or so, the online is either a free for all death match which supports maximum of 8 players(I think) or a 1v1. Both gametypes are played on the single player maps.

It's actually really fun.. they have random puzzles everywhere, but its a great updated classic..

Achievements are easy too..

I don't see anything updated from this and the PC version. It just seems to have portraits and the Nuke intro icon in HD graphics. It remains the same as the PC version.

But with HALF DECENT online play, which is the main reason most pick it up.

Hell yeah, this game's worth it. Takes me back to oldschool N64!:woop:
The Dukematch achievements take kinda long, but doing them with a friend really makes it fun! :)

There's always plenty of ranked free for alls going on to get the kills anyway. You don't have to be good to get them but your skill will make them easier to obtain.

I still play it and got 200/200 long ago.

Is anyone still playing now?

I was hoping to find a Road-Map to find the difficulty of these achievements. However, I don't think I will waste money on this. After trying the trial I got noxious like on Marathon.

As long as you get a friend to get the online kills with you, yes. The online ones get pretty hard without that, but still an easy 150/200 then.

The game is even after so many years surprisingly popular online! Don't expect too much of the multiplayer though, almost everyone is just doing it for the 500 kills. And since you can use the suicide glitch (killing yourself also counts as a 'kill' ;)) you see people actually shooting rockets into the wall, blowing themselves up :p

Anyway, besides that the singleplayer campaign was and is just brilliant. The oneliners make you laugh every time you hear 'm, the game is challenging (not too easy, not frustratingly difficult) and it's a 'cool' completion to have. I'd say go for it, if you don't mind the graphics, which of course are very... 'retro'

Good point. I played Atomic Edition on PC online just a bit. It had some nice multiplayer but it also had alot less button delay when compared to Xbox Live. But with your point being said, I'd agree there. Just click and play.

btw, looks like the author of this thread never picked up the game..

i love banjo kazooie and duke nuke em. they are both worth the buy. also banjo-tooie is nice as well, id suggest for a long game tho duke and tooie, banjo kazooie was about a 10 hour game for me, but i was/am a master at that game.

duke nukem is alot longer

I'm currently debating buying it now too. I really wish it was going for 400 msp instead of 800. I played this game like CRAZY as a kid so I woudn't mind playing through it again just for some fun and achievements (which look pretty easy anyway).
