Shinobi273
Europe uses PAL, North America uses NTSC, Japan uses NTSC-J. The three are not compatible with eachother.
Welsh Rambo
So i would need an American console?
Otaku
No, I've played many NTSC games on my PAL Xbox You might occasionally come across a game that will need 60HZ to be able to play it in colour, but mostly (now anyway) regions don't matter

CantorianPanda
I would google the region-specifics of Eternal Sonata before buying... I think I read, on Play-Asia.com or something, that that's one of the games that's region-locked. On Xbox 360, the rule of thumb has been that Microsoft-published games (Gears of War, Viva Piñata) and Ubisoft Games (Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six) are almost always region-free. With other companies, it's happenstance, but I can tell you that I own american versions of CoD4, DMC4 and The Orange Box that I play on my PAL 360. AdamKoyo
Cool, I did not know that you could play some NTSC games on the PAL console, good to know.
