Complete the same puzzle in Classic and Turbo modes.

From the Main Menu select Single Player, then select Picture Puzzles (you will be in the Starter Puzzle Pack) and choose Amazing Stories - June 1940 (2 of 39). Set the rules as:

Construction Mode - Classic
Experience Level - Beginner
Number of Pieces - 12
Piece Shape - Square

Complete the puzzle, then return to the same puzzle and settings. Change the Construction Mode to Turbo and complete the puzzle for the second time.

Build 5 puzzles of 250 pieces or more.

From the Main Menu select Single Player, then choose Picture Puzzles. You'll need to complete five puzzles with at least 250 pieces each.

Here is a list of five easy puzzles with their piece count:

Amazing Stories - June 1940: 280
Art Forms in Nature: 266
Colored Pencils: 294
Dynamic Stillness II: 266
Seasons: 256

Once you've decided on your puzzles choose these settings for each one:

Construction Mode - Turbo
Experience Level - Beginner
Number of Pieces - (lowest amount passed 250)
Piece Shape - (any)

See Tips for further instructions.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/844/s3.jpgFirst Timer 5http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg
Complete your first puzzle.

From the Main Menu select Single Player, then select Picture Puzzles (you will be in the Starter Puzzle Pack) and choose Amazing Stories - June 1940 (2 of 39). Set the rules as:

Number of Pieces - 12

Complete all Picture Puzzles.

There are a total of 39 puzzles in the Starter Picture Pack, and you have to complete each one at least once. Go through all 39 puzzles with these settings:

Construction Mode - Turbo
Experience Level - Beginner
Number of Pieces - (set to lowest amount)
Piece Shape - (square)

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/844/-s5=.jpgKilopiece Colossus 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg
Build a Classic mode puzzle with at least 1,000 pieces on Expert.

From the Main Menu select Single Player, then Picture Puzzles. You're going to want to choose a puzzle that has as close to 1,000 pieces as possible. Stay away from puzzles that have large amounts of the same color (white, sky, water, walls)

Here is a list of Puzzles and their piece count:

Albion Brand Oranges Vintage Label: 1054
Amazing Stories - June 1940: 1120
Art Forms in Nature: 1160
Aurora Borealis, Alaska, US: 1107
Band of Brothers: 1140
Big Train, Tittle Train: 1036
Circuit Board: 1014
Classic Car: 1036
Color Tiles: 1036
Colored Pencils: 1014
Downtown Toronto: 1014
Dream7: 1008
Dynamic Stillness II: 792
Flowers and Bugs: 1044
Fresh Vegetables: 1014
Give a Hoot: 1085
Kids on the Grass: 1014
Lara Croft: 1216
Leadenhall Market - London, England: 1148
Leaf Mosaic: 1014
Lift Off: 1025
Lines and Shapes: 1014
Many of Them: 1102
Mom and Her Foal: 1014
Pixeltown: 616
Playground: 1008
Puppies in a Basket: 1014
Quad Bike Racing: 1054
Regenerating: 1024
Seasons: 784
Sleeping Cat: 1148
Stamp Collection: 1014
Sugerloaf Sunset: 1148
The Battle of Colors: 1092
The Black Sea: 1078
The Colosseum in Rome, Italy: 1107
Toledo, Spain: 1012
Waiting for the Bus: 1014
Watch Gears: 1014

I would recommend Amazing Stories - June 1940 because of all the text and variations in colors, even though it has 120 more pieces than needed.

Once you've decided your puzzle choose these settings:

Construction Mode - Classic
Experience Level - Expert
Number of Pieces - (lowest amount passed 1000)
Piece Shape - (fourth option to the right)

When you start your puzzle on expert you'll notice that half of them are turned upside-down and white, simply choose all the white puzzle pieces and press (RT) to flip them over. See Tips for further instructions.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/844/s6.jpgBeat the Bots 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg
Beat 2 or more AI players on a puzzle with 100 pieces or more.

From the Main Menu select Multiplayer, then select Play Same Console in Classic Mode. Press right on the left stick two times to enter two bots into the puzzle. Press A to start and choose Picture Puzzles, then choose Amazing Stories - June 1940 or any puzzle you are more familiar with.

Once you've decided your puzzle choose these settings:

Experience Level - Beginner
Number of Pieces - (lowest amount passed 100)
Piece Shape - (any)

The strategy is to connect more pieces than both AI players. To do this you will need to use some form of cheating to make it a little easier. AI players pick up pieces and place them when they find the right piece, what's faulty about this is that they hover over the piece they are about to connect for several seconds (allowing you to move that piece). If you move the piece in time the AI player will just simply put the piece back on the table, allowing you to connect the piece afterward.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/844/-s7=.jpgPuzzle Party 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg
Join 2 or more friends on the same console to build a puzzle with at least 200 pieces.

From the Main Menu select multiplayer, then Play Same Console In Classic Mode. You will need to plug in two separate controllers, and insert them into the game. Once you've done that select Picture Puzzles, and again choose Amazing Stories - June 1940 or any puzzle you are more familiar with.

Once you've decided your puzzle choose these settings:

Experience Level - Beginner
Number of Pieces - (lowest amount passed 200)
Piece Shape - (any)

You can actually play with friends, or just play by yourself, the only thing that matters is that you have three players putting together the puzzle. See Tips for further instructions.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/844/-s8=.jpgXbox Live Puzzle Party 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg
Join 2 or more Xbox Live players to build a Classic Co-Op puzzle with 300 pieces or more.

From the Main Menu select Multiplayer, then choose Xbox LIVE. Select Play Cooperatively in Classic Mode, and then choose Start a New Match. From there, select Picture Puzzles and choose Amazing Stories - June 1940 or any puzzle you are more familiar with.

Once you've decided your puzzle choose these settings:

Experience Level - Beginner
Number of Pieces - (lowest amount passed 300)

You need at least 3 players total in the session when completing the puzzle. You can find players to help you with this achievement in the Achievement Trading Thread located HERE (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=86380).

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/844/s9=.jpgPuzzle Champ 25http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg
Win 5 Xbox Live Turbo Mode games.

Choose Multiplayer from the Main Menu, and go into Play Xbox LIVE. Select Compete in Turbo Mode, then Play a Player Match. You can Start a New Match, choose Picture Puzzles, select Amazing Stories - June 1940 or any puzzle you are more familiar with. Put the number of pieces as low as you can choose. Start the game and invite players to join your puzzle.

You can find players to help you with this achievement in the Achievement Trading Thread located HERE (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=86380).

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/844/-s10=.jpgFractal Fan 15http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg
Finish a Fractal Puzzle with 2 levels.

Fractal puzzles are located in Single Player from the Main Menu. Select from one of these three puzzles and set the following:

Leadenhall Market - London, England
Sugarloaf Sunset
The Colosseum in Rome, Italy

Construction Mode - Turbo
Experience Level - Beginner
Preset - Small (12 pieces)

You start out on the second level with 12 puzzles to complete. Each puzzle has a total of around 25 pieces, and once you complete each of the 12 puzzles you will then move on to the first level of the puzzle. The first level is comprised of the first 12 puzzles you just completed. Each puzzle is turned into a piece, and then made into a puzzle itself, making the first level a puzzle with 12 pieces.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/844/s11=.jpgFractal Fanatic 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg
Finish a Fractal Puzzle with 3 levels.

Fractal puzzles are located in Single Player from the Main Menu. Select the Regenerating puzzle and set the following:

Construction Mode - Turbo
Experience Level - Beginner
Preset - Big (16 pieces)

A 3-Level fractal puzzle is very similar to a 2-Level except you start out with a much higher puzzle count. You start out on the third level with 400 puzzles (technically you should have to complete 400 puzzles to move on to the next level, but I only completed 10 puzzles and the puzzle count was down to 365 already). Each puzzle has 25 pieces, and every 25 puzzles makes up a bigger puzzle piece (16 in all), for when you're on the second level. After those 400 puzzles are completed, you will move on to the second level. This level is made up of all the puzzles within the puzzles, and only has 16 puzzles total. Once those 16 are completed you will be on the final level, a puzzle with 16 pieces. All 3 levels add up to 417 puzzles and should take about 3 hours of total gameplay.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/achievements/844/-s12=.jpgUltimate Challenger 35http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg
Complete all 20 Puzzle Challenges.

From the Main Menu select Single Player, then choose Challenge Puzzles. There are a total of 20 Challenge Puzzles that each have their own unique challenge to them. Each Puzzle is preselected with a twist to it. Below is a list of every challenge and tips for completed each one.

1 of 20
Title: Quick Flip
Challenge: These pieces just don't want to stay picture-side up. (Puzzle pieces only stay picture-side up for 20 seconds after they're flipped)
Puzzle: Many of them
How to: Start with the edge and make the border first. You only get 20 seconds with each pieces so flip as many of the edge pieces up as you can at one time.

2 of 20
Title: Bad Bots
Challenge: AI players move the pieces around while you try to build a puzzle. Not nice. (two computer players move pieces around and turn them, making it harder to keep certain pieces together)
Puzzle: Lara Croft
How to: This puzzle can become really frustrating if you don't stop the computer from taking your pieces. If you have a pile of pieces you want to stay put, then simply pick one up until the computer player moves to another piece. Doing so doesn't allow the computer player to move that certain piece.

3 of 20
Title: Puzzle Bomb
Challenge: Connect a piece every 15 seconds or your puzzle will blow up. Kaboom! (you have 15 seconds in between connecting each piece or the challenge ends)
Puzzle: Sugarloaf Sunset
How to: You start with 40 seconds on the clock to connect your first piece(s). Use this time wisely and connect as many as you can before the clock reaches 15 seconds. Once the clock hits 15 you have 15 seconds to connect each piece until the end of the puzzle. Getting to know the puzzle is really key to completing this challenge. If you find pieces early that fit, you can run the clock down to 5 or so seconds before connecting them, which gives you time to look for other pieces while you wait.

4 of 20
Title: Missing Pieces
Challenge: Oops, you'll have to start your puzzle with some pieces missing. (gain pieces as you connect them)
Puzzle: Flowers and Bugs
How to: You start with 26 pieces out of a total of 42. Every time you connect a few pieces you will gain more pieces to the puzzle, until you eventually have them all.

5 of 20
Title: Mad Dash
Challenge: 15 pieces in 60 seconds. On your mark, get set, GO! (complete a 16 piece puzzle in one minute)
Puzzle: Seasons
How to: You will have to get to know this puzzle fairly well. Start with the top of one of the snowboards, work your way down, then start going across. You have to connect a piece about every 4 seconds, so work fast!

6 of 20
Title: Turbo Speed
Challenge: 48 pieces of puzzle fun in 4 frantic minutes. (complete a 48 piece Turbo puzzle in 4 minutes)
Puzzle: Dynamic Stillness II
How to: This is a 48 piece Turbo puzzle, in which each puzzle piece is already outlined on the table already (inside the puzzle). Zoom in so the puzzle takes up the whole screen, then just start looking for the same outlined puzzle pieces. You get 4 minutes, so that's around 5 seconds a puzzle piece, which isn't much of a challenge.

7 of 20
Title: Distortion Field
Challenge: Whoa! Something weird happened here. (every time you connect more pieces, the puzzle becomes clearer).
Puzzle: Band of Brothers
How to: Start putting the puzzle together from the edge, as the picture starts to become undistorted, then start connecting the regular pieces.

8 of 20
Title: Classic Art
Challenge: One image. Many styles. (put together this puzzle as the style of art changes with it)
Puzzle: Puppies in a Basket
How to: You start the puzzle with a normal looking picture, but as you continue through the puzzle the art style begins to change within the picture. Some blurry and some pretty crisp. Put together the dogs first, then worry about the grass and basket later.

9 of 20
Title: Mirror, Mirror
Challenge: This challenge has got it all backwards. (put together the puzzle backwards).
Puzzle: Pixeltown
How to: This puzzle will give you the right image of the puzzle, but the puzzle pieces themselves only connect backwards, to make the finished puzzle reversed. Start with the water first, then work your way around the edges.

10 of 20
Title: Upside Down
Challenge: Up is down and down is up. Don't flip out! (put together the puzzle upside-down).
Puzzle: Lines and Shapes
How to: This challenge is much like the previous one, except the only difference is the puzzle is flipped horizontally instead of vertically. It's easiest to start with the circle shapes, then work your way out to the edge and continue from there.

11 of 20
Title: One-on-One
Challenge: Connect more pieces than your AI opponent. (beat the AI in points while connecting the same Turbo puzzle).
Puzzle: Give a Hoot
How to: You are put up against an AI player in this puzzle, the object is to score more than him. It's easiest to search for all the edge pieces first, and once you connect all of those then start connecting various pieces of the Owl. Only connect pieces of the tree when there are only tree pieces left.

12 of 20
Title: Bot Battle
Challenge: It's you against 3 AI players. Good luck! (beat the AI in points while connecting the same Classic puzzle).
Puzzle: The Battle of Colors
How to: The strategy is to connect more pieces than both AI players.

13 of 20
Title: In Focus
Challenge: It will all become clear as you build this puzzle. (becomes less pixalated as you finish more pieces of the puzzle)
Puzzle: Dream7
How to: There is no time limit like most of these, but it is increasingly harder to put this puzzle together as you progress through it. So if you can make connections in the center before starting with the outer edge it would be ideal.

14 of 20
Title: Out of Focus
Challenge: Get your reading glasses out for this Dynamic puzzle. (starts out blurry and becomes in focus as you progress through)
Puzzle: Color Tiles
How to: This challenge is pretty identical to the previous one, except it gets increasingly easier to put together as you progress through.

15 of 20
Title: Temporal Anomaly Turbo
Challenge: The clock is ticking, but each connected piece buys you a few seconds. (connect pieces fast enough or the challenge ends)
Puzzle: Watch Gears
How to: This is a timed Turbo challenge. It is a puzzle you will have to learn as well. You start the challenge with 30 seconds, and for every piece you connect you earn an additional 5 seconds to the clock. Every time you restart the challenge the piece placements never change, so it's easy to remember where to put the puzzle pieces after a while.

16 of 20
Title: Temporal Anomaly Classic
Challenge: Keep connecting the pieces or it's "Puzzle Over!" (put together a 35 piece timed Classic puzzle in 6 minutes)
Puzzle: Amazing Stories - June 1940
How to: You have 5 minutes to put together a 35 piece puzzle. It's one of the easiest puzzles in the game, so don't really worry about the time. Pay attention to the lettering and connecting those pieces first, that is the key to finishing this puzzle on time.

17 of 20
Title: Ultra-Violet
Challenge: Puzzle building under a black light. Freaky! (complete a Classic puzzle distorted from a black light).
Puzzle: Art Forms in Nature
How to: This challenge isn't any different from any other classic puzzle, other than the color change from the black light. It's easy to put the border together as it's white. Put the shapes together afterward, and this will be an easy challenge.

18 of 20
Title: Shades of Gray
Challenge: This is what puzzles looked like in the old days. (complete a Turbo puzzle distorted by discoloration).
Puzzle: Classic Car
How to: This challenge is like the one previous to it, except it's black & white instead of Ultra-Violet, and it's a Turbo puzzle.

19 of 20
Title: 2x2
Challenge: An image multiplied 4 times adds up to one tough challenge. (put together a puzzle with the same picture 4 times)
Puzzle: Stamp Collection
How to: You will need to make four separate starting places for this puzzle, as there are 4 of the same pictures in this puzzle. Start with the head of the rooster and then build around each picture until you connect them all. Then, build the border around the puzzle and slowly fill in the rest.

20 of 20
Title: Checkerboard
Challenge: Black and white squares. Nothing but black and white squares. (put together a checkerboard puzzle).
Puzzle: Checkerboard
How to: This is the hardest, most difficult, longest, dumbest puzzle/challenge you will have to complete, and it may take you several hours. There really is no strategy for this puzzle other than "Good Luck!"

Tips:

If you can't finish a puzzle in one sitting, save it. The saving option works with every puzzle type except Online and Challenge Puzzles. Simply press start and select Exit, then (if you have connected at least two pieces) select Save Puzzle and Exit. This will save your puzzle and you will be able to continue from where you left off by going into Single Player and choosing Saved Puzzles.
Once you have all your pieces on the table and flipped right-side up, you will want to begin to separate these into two groups, Edge Pieces and Regular Pieces. The game has an option to open up a second table to store other pieces while you work with another set. To do this press Y while you are on the table and a small box will appear on the bottom right of your screen, while that box is up simply pick up any piece and place it over the box and press A to set the piece in.You will want to place all the Regular Pieces in there, then start working on the outer edge of the puzzle first.
Once you are finished making your border, bring your edge piece into the other table and you can begin to fill in the puzzle with regular pieces. Divide the Regular pieces into groups of the same color, and build your puzzle from there.
Press X if you are having trouble remembering what the puzzle is supposed to look like. It gives you three different size pictures to choose from every time you press X. This picture can also be hidden by pressing X a fourth time, and is only available in Classic Mode.
Zoom in and out with the RB and LB buttons to get a closer look at each piece.
You can see which puzzles you've completed before by pressing Y on when you go to select that puzzle.

For 5*250 achieve, it doesnt unlock in multiplayer because I did the xbox live party achieve and had to do 5 puzzles by myself to unlock the 5*250. I did do 5 different puzzles, but my recommendation is to go for your puzzle picture collector achievement and just create 5 different puzzles along the way at 250 or greater. This way you dont have to go back and redo 5 puzzles to get the 5*250. anyway guide is dead on. gj apple

Ha, not just me that found the tactic of stealing pieces from under your AI opponents nose.

Another trick that helps is when the puzzle gets to around 75% complete hold the completed section and drop it onto the piece you want to connect to, then pick it up again immediately by doing this you reduce the number of options available to the AI, they can't connect a piece to anything you're holding.

This is definitely the hardest, but it is at least impossible to fail, unlike that bloody watch gears one! I managed it in 1 hour by (kind of) cheating slightly.

My method was
1. Sort into 2 piles - one of edge and corners and one of middle pieces
2. Build your outside frame from your "edges and corners" pile
3. Sort "middle pieces" pile into 5 (maybe it was 6) neat piles of each shape, all orientated the same way
4. You can now pick up the frame and rotate it and drop it down next to each pile. As you know exactly what shapes are in each pile you will know which piles are possible fits. The game "snaps" the pieces in place if you are close enough, so even if the correct piece is at the bottom of the relevant pile, the game will connect it for you.

This is a bit of a faff to get the pieces sorted at the start, but it definitely saved me a lot of time. In fact, if I had come up with this method before already spending 30 minutes on it, I dare say my time could have been a lot quicker...

there are tricks that you can use also...like if all of your pieces that are left are all white then stack the same type of pieces on top of each other then work from there.

like i had about 7 different stacks of different types of white pieces and within 60 minutes i finished off 90 plain white pieces to finish my puzzel...its a lot faster then just moving them around 1 at a time in order to find out where they go

I did that challenge in 27 minutes but I used a different strategy and may have stumbled upon a bug in the program. I put all the inside pieces in one pile and assembled the edge pieces. Then dropped the edge pieces on my inside pile several times (I forgot rotation made that not likely to work well). When I went back to putting the inside pieces in one by one they were in the correct order that I needed them. They still needed to be rotated, but the inside only took me 7 minutes to complete.
