View Full Version : Best Boosting Method for XP (General Achievements)

Alright, I think I've found the fastest way to get XP

Gametype: Armored Front
Players: 4-8 (However many you think can crowd around an objective comfortably at one time x 2)
Map: Any really, Assembly seems to work best though
Focus: Capturing either point 2 or 4 back and forth (faster than doing 3, you can't do 1 or 5)

You start by capturing your first 2 points, one team captures 3 and comes to the other team's second point, and basically everyone from one team crowds around it to capture it, then backs off, everyone from the other team crowds around it to capture it and backs off, and repeat until time's up.

You'll average over 1000 XP per 15 minute game, probably up to just under 2000 XP if you have more than 4 people. At this rate it can take anywhere from 125-250 hours to get to 1 million XP which it is confirmed is how much it is to get to General.

Edit: I've got plenty of boosters on my list so please so please form your own boosting groups

I'm definitely in on this...

but...

1000XP = 1st rank

5000XP - 2nd rank

10,000 XP = 3rd rank

and...

1,000,000XP??? = General???...are you F'ing kidding me?

Does anyone else think that is beyond ridiculous? That is like CoD 3's General achievement all over again. C'mon,...say it ain't so...

1 million is just stupid. Well, I doubt I'll be getting that anytime soon. I've been playing for almost 7 hours and am only at 10,000 exp.

it could have been someone else you're talking about, but two days ago I told someone that because I have the strategy guide(the people at gamestop pressured me with discounts on it) and it says 1 million to get the general rank

that doesent make any sence because the guy in number 1 has like 37000 exp and hes only 5th rank so im goin by cod 4 and 5 rankings or halo so if hes only at 5th rank wouldent even be more exp to get 4 star general?????? u still need to go through all sergent ranks all leutenit ranks all colonel ranks and stuff.

The achievement says you must reach the rank of 4-Star General. Is there anything in the guide about a 4-Star General or just basic General. I just want to know EXACTLY how much XP is needed to get the full 1000 for this game.

I dont know what it is with games making ridiculous ranked XP achievements... farcry2 has a 1.5 million achievement. Thats about 120 of SOLID and successful boosting. No thanks. I like to get 1000/1000 in games, but these achievements are complete BS.

They are just trying to prolong the games MP life expectancy with it. But even with FEAR's MP1000, that didn't stop me from getting it within a day and just enjoying the game normally after. These high kills/exp ones are too much. I'd prefer exchanging those for something really hard not time consuming.

Im up for boosting slowly for this game. I am currently working on COD WAW to pristege 10. That is more important to me. IM about to start my 5th pristege. Hoping to have more double exp soon.

Kemical I will send you a FR. You can come in our boosting party when you have time and if we have room. I may not have as much time as I anticipated to boost as much as I would like to due to work. But in all reality I am in it for the long haul and will get general no matter what!

ZxTVendetta shoot me a FR if you guys need another guy, if you boost between midnight and 8am CST that is. The guys that boost in the evenings in the states aren't much help to me because I'm usually only on after 11pm CST (midnight eastern, 9pm pacific)

Just a thought, but can we get one of the regulars like boofer or someone to make a "4 star general" boosting thread and sticky it? I know we have an achievement trading thread, but rather than sifting through that it'd be good for those that are done with the other MP achievements to be able to find partners faster with fewer threads.

I was going to make one but I can only do quick replies at work can't post new threads (weak proxy). I think we need specifics from each person so that people don't try to send friend requests to people in opposing time zones that won't even be on at the same time. Each person to reply to the 4-star general sticky topic should include:

Gamertag:

Normal times they will be boosting, including time zone:

Conversion of their normal play times to one universal time zone, say greenwich mean time?:

I realize that third one will be a little tricky for some, but if you look at a time zone map, you should be able to see whether you are ahead of or behind greenwich mean time and by how many hours, so you can convert your hours. Lets say you play 5pm-10pm normally, and you're 4 hours AHEAD of greenwich mean time. Then in the thread yours would look like this:

Gamertag
I play 5pm-10pm XXX (where XXX is your time zone)
I play 1pm-6pm Greenwich mean time

In this way people can find those that will be on at the same time as them, rather than the hit-or-miss method we've been using. Just a thought.
