They are reviewers. If you want games early get a job as a reviewer;)

Some people do download torrents and such (which is stupid). They are only hurting the industry.

The anticipation is sometimes alot better than the actual event, so just relax and wait it out.

Or go back to downloading porn...:) J/K

The good thing is piracy on the consoles is barley hurting anyone. where as the PC is really bad.

I don' think the current amount of console pirates (arggh lol) are hurting the industry in the slightest.

Infact I think it is the exact opposite. They steal the game early and boast about how they have it and how great the game is. A bunch of people get all up in arms about how he has it illegally early not to mention completely unpaid for, but at the same time are really excited for every tidbit of information that comes out for it.

I believe if the amount of pirates continue to rise, it will definitely become detrimental to the gaming industry, but for now just let the sleeping dogs lie.

By the same token, though, if they don't "nip this in the bud" before it becomes detrimental, it will be MUCH harder to curb it later on. Still, you do make good points, however the "early release" system is already in use sometimes, and people get games as much as a month early for reviewing and promotional purposes.

The "dumb" one's would boast. Smart pirates would slip under the radar. Why in the world would u steal something then tell other people about it?

Its true that piracy isn't rife on the 360, but it is obviously still hurting the industry when games are obtained for free.

That's money that should be in the companies hands.

Instead of being reactive, we and/or the industry should be proactive and stop game piracy before it has a chance to gain momentum. (Though it already has on many other platforms).

As someone who actually works in the industry it sucks. Becasue you are taking that money directly from people like me.

Look at the industry now, how many people are being laid off and losing thier jobs. Now that isn't all Pirates, but they certainly don't help.

They want to tell us how great our games are, they want to play the games that we spend years making, and they want to do it for free.

Well thank you, thanks for telling me that what I do isn't important enough for you to pay for, and that taking directly from my pocket, and my two children, so you can play for free is right.

You lose great companies to piracy, because you are taking money from them. Which in turn doesn't allow them the opportunity to get all the money they deserve, which forces them to go under. Which means they can't make anymore games.

If you love our games, puchase them, support us. Don't slap us in the face, and tell us our stuff is great, when you don't pay for what it was we worked so hard to bring to you.

Hell I bet you wouldn't like working hard for something and not being paid! I bet you wouldn't like it if someone came in your house and robbed you. Well that's what you are doing to us, so if you think it's okay... then I am glad you are SOOO much more Important then the rest of us. Pirates are selfish, and if you don't think so come explain to my kids why it's okay to take from thier father.

I find this statement to be a little confusing. I can assure you, not all people who download games illegally are looking to sell them. If they are, (and are smart) they will do it discreetly. Taking out an ad in the paper saying your selling these items you obtained illegally is a quick way to get yourself in trouble.
