Just wondering if anyone knows if EA has any plans on getting back into the baseball market? I'm not sure if 2k has exclusive rights because I know MLB: The Show is on playstation, but for the 360 we only get 2k's game. I definitely miss the MVP baseball days so a new product from EA would be refreshing to see.

2K has exclusive third party MLB rights until 2013. They made the deal shortly after EA got the NFL exclusive back in 2005. MLB the Show exists still because 2K's deal allows first party MLB games meaning that until 2013, the only companies that can make a MLB game are 2K, Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo.

Yeah they did have that game for about 2-3 years. I don't know why they scrapped it, it was a fun game. I read that EA has agreed to a deal with the NCAA to make two different college games. I heard lacrosse and soccer. So if EA does that I doubt they will make a MLB version.

That game could have been so much better. It was trash. I hope someone takes another crack at the NCAA baseball game but I doubt they will.
