Anyone know if it's ok to install this game on to the hard drive or is it like Halo 3?

Ooohh, good question. I would have to assume it's okay to install. The only reason Bungie didn't want you to install Halo 3 was because it was made and distributed before the NXE. And since they could not use NXE to their advantage, that had to just deal with the regular dashboard. There was no way they could change the games coding to make it run faster on the NXE.

But since this is Esmemble, (a different company) and it was long after the NXE, I think it'll work better if you installed it.

IMO.

yea i installed it as well and no problems here. saving a game takes a while though, but that could be normal.

Saving when playing off disk takes about 30 secs to a min (Or at least it feels like forever..)

You should. Reason being Halo 3 was designed to cache data to the hard drive to improve loading times. When you use NXE to install it, you not only have the game running off the HDD but also still caching the data. This actually decreases the loading times (for both single player and multiplayer), instead of improving it. Better explanation on Bungie.net (http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=news&cid=16252)

So basically its better to just play Halo 3 from the disc.
