excel spreadsheet of all baseball cards in game, also has a small description of what you need to do for each card. there seperated by team as well (note that in the playing against for pitchers if it says you need 3 hits then that means u need 3 consecutive hits)

EX::Bounce:
player
angles..........playing as...............playing against.......got??
hunter..........score 2 runs............5 outs...................1
lackey..........4 shutout innings......3 hits
for the got column if u put a 1 in when u get the card you can scroll to the bottom of the sheet and it will add all the ones you have.

glad that this can be some help to you guys

if you can manage to find a friend in ranked matches(by searching at the same time) you can both be the same teams and do the easier of the 2 options for each player

That would be a smart idea. Good thinking.

Thanks for the spreadsheet, this will make things a bit easier.

Also another program people can use to read it would be OpenOffice. Which as far as I know works on pretty much all operating systems. http://www.openoffice.org/

Also while I was going through I noticed that Edwin Encarnacion was missing from the Reds cardlist but I think that was the only player missed. So once again, good job on this man.

i realized that i made a mistake and left out edwin encarnacion, so for those of you who have downloaded it, make sure to add him to the reds.. if u play as the reds u need a hr, if u play against them u need to strike him out 2 times

If you guys are like me, you are looking at this spreadsheet while playing a game. Well I have found out something rather nice. If you are going against a player and trying to get his card, and his card states, "prevent _____ from getting on base during a 9 inning game", receiving this card is very easy. All you have to do is intentionally walk him every time he comes up to bat.

For ex: I am the Texas Rangers playing the Cleveland Indians. One of the cards I can receive is Grady Sizemore. It states, "Prevent Grady Sizemore from getting on base during a 9 inning game." Well, all you have to do is intentionally walk this batter every time he comes up and he will not be credited for getting on base. Pretty clever trick if you don't mind walking a batter every 2 or 3 innings. Several cards can be unlocked by using this method.

Ok i have a nerdy question here, im not very good with excel but i know you can make 'formulas' or something to like add values and display them in another cell. Is there a way to make it count every time theres an 'X' in the column 'got?' and display that result in another cell? any help would be appreciated

The spreadsheet comes with the formula built in. Bottom right hand side, you need to use numbers and not letters. That's why he tells you to mark off with a 1 under "got?".

If you'd like to do one yourself you can just use this: = Sum(A1: A5) where the A1: A5 is just substitute the row letter and the numbers where you want to begin and end at.

Here is a question that refers to the trading cards, when you play online do the strike outs you get online count towards the total 500 for unlocking the cards?

Only if playing on Pro or above.

I should have added this part to my question. Can it be done in the "play a friend" mode on Pro or does it have to be Ranked online match?

No it can't be done in play a friend or on the same system. I tried this last night but neither worked. Wish there were some lobbies like before.

Also at least on my computer(using OpenOffice and not Excel) the formula for total cards seemed to be not working as it always stated 68 cards. If anyone else has that issue here is the formula to add up all the numbers: =SUM(D2:D125;I2:I128;N2:N133).

As long as you meet the conditions to unlock the player, it does not matter what team they're on.

We did an online league and traded all the card players onto two teams and traded them back-n-forth.

i just thought i would throw this out there.. if your working on the cards and playing single player. go to rosters and reset them.. that way they will be the rosters as they were when the game came out. everytime you restart the game you will need to do that. but this way everyone is on the right team and not in the minors.

wait. so i dont get it can you explain in amore easier way to do this in the game

You can also just max out th stats of the team that you are playing with and completly max down the stats of the team you are playing against. It makes it much easier for those 4 hits in one game and 3 stikeouts in one game against one player challenges.

It sucks they made it to where you cant trade cards.

If you are having trouble finding someone on a team and don't want to reset roster everytime, u can go to roster and send the corresponding position (1b, 2b, ss, etc.) down to AAA and pull the player you need back up to the big leagues. The only thing this won't work for is disabled list. You will have to reset the roster for this as I have found for a player on the Royals team.

Someone please clear this up for me . . (I'll use Tory Hunter as an example)

Play As means what?
I have to score two runs in a game?

Play Against means what?
