Maybe you could add the standard/general controls of a game to the site ;)
I've heard somewhere that the Cheats-section is being removed, so maybe Controls could replace Cheats or something. There would be a list of buttons like:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/misc/b.png - Crouch
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/misc/a.png - Jump
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/misc/y.png - Change weapon
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/misc/x.png - Reload
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/misc/lt.png - Zoom with weapon/Aim
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/misc/rt.png - Shoot

Something like that, what do you think? I know you don't have much time doing this but I could volunteer doing it :)

This would by kind of pointless when you could just look at the manual. It would be a lot of work for something that would take 5 seconds to look up in the manual.

Yes, but some of us don't have manuals (like me) in some games such as in Madden 06. I had to ask 10 people for an hour before I learned to pass in the dam game, if I had the manual I could've done that. And to that "it would be a lot of work", I said that I'm volunteering to do it if admins don't have time for it ;) Thanks for your reply.

I rent all my games from Gamefly, so I never have a manual, pash... BUT, that really isn't something we'd need since to have on the site since almost every game has a tutorial or a section in the pause menu to show the controls (jappe, did you not find something like that for Madden?). Plus most of our achievement guides will tell you what buttons to press when the time comes to do certain abilities.

Yeah I never "investigate" the pause menu so deeply to find a tutorial :p

I think it could be replaced with a DLC section.
Prices, sizes (50mb for example) and a quick overview of the content (time to complete, story info, achievements).
Much better use of space IMO :p

So... you're willing to leave your 360, come to x360a, and look up the controls for a game rather than pausing the game and hitting the button that says "Controller Layout".

What is that... like, uber reverse laziness or something?

Well it would be, but not every game does have a tutorial...

And some games have stupid tutorials, like Table Tennis, if you want to know how to do a Focus Shot for example, you have to go through a load of shit to find out.

While this is pretty pointless in some respects, it could still help a few. Though a few is not a lot, and a lot is what you want...

Good point. I didn't think of that :(

I don't really see the point in having controls for every game either. Pants mentioned renting games from Gamefly. They have all the controls right on the site already and pressing "Start" was easy to do last I checked.

I like the idea... some games (like NBA games) i have no freakin idea how to ally oop but i sometimes just do it... I would like this... hopefully it is better explained then the dang manual.

Yeah it sounds very good to me, i tryed to play madden 06 and had NO clue how to play and there is no tutorial on site or on game and so this would have been nice to have ;)

replacementdocs.com has a bunch of game manuals for DL.

Not all games have a manual there, but it's a start.
