Write down what you're expecting from BF 1943.

Man bf1942 was the first game i really got into on the pc. I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. And on top of that the expansions and mods that came out after were even better than the original game.
Battlefield 1942 with suped up graphics and textures and the new frostbite engine should be just awsome. But like i said, original maps didn't really interest me like the mods did. Either way this will be great and a definite download for me. Check out the vids above, especially the second one. BOMBER RUNS !! Friggin awsome. See you all on the battlefield later this year.

This is going to be an arcade title? Well I must admit it looked pretty cool but I am getting a little tired of all the WWII games... As long as this doesn't delay Bad Company 2, then I'll give this a shot.
03-28-2009, 05:13 PM
man i thought that bad company was the worse on the battlefield series. The frostbite engine is cool, but thats about it. The engine with the battlefield 1942 look and gameplay will be awsome. I just get this bad feeling that it wont be up to par being a downloadable game. It would be cool if they sold the game retail, then sold mods on the marketplace. because when it came to battlefield 1942, vietnam, and bf2, the mods is where it was at.

Ah Battlefield 1943, I will no doubt be getting this just to see it's souped up graphics and engine. Focussing on the Japanese campaign is a bit of a shame, my favourite maps have always been Bocage, Market Garden and Invasion of the Phillipines, so one out of those three is good enough I suppose. I'm not sure if it's going to surive however, with only the limited maps and the limiting classes.
Oh and did I mention that 1942 is the greatest online shooter ever, still is?
04-07-2009, 10:09 PM
Please hurry up and come out soon :(
BF1942 was really the first shooter i REALLY played for hours on end.

I love the BF Series.. compares with the COD series.

I can't wait for BF1943. It looks a lot like it'll play similar to PS3's Warhead(zone?). Whatever that large scale war simulation was called... Anyway, large multiplayer matches, detailed environments contained in a small package, and various ways to take out your foes; count me in!

I'm gonna be addicted to the planes! I can see them releasing extra maps for this after a little while. Should be good after the blip that was Bad Company.

Thank God the 'What is battlefield' option has no votes so far because if you've never heard or played battlefield, you haven't lived

This game is going to be awesome! Can't wait!

An easy 200g

Wake Island for BF2 was awesome .. practically the only map I played for it after it came out. The screenshots kinda look like a mix between the battlefield graphics but then with some bf heroes cartoon style in it .. odd

I think this is going to be a pretty good game when it comes out and I've just read a review in the OXM and it sounded great.
05-16-2009, 04:50 AM
1200 points is a steal. I am excited.

Battlefield 1943 for the PC got me into the Battlefield series. I remember playing BF2:MC on the PS2 online. That was an epic time on the map BridgeTooFar. BF1943 for the 360 is going to being freaking awesome when it comes out. Plus the fact that it's only 1200MSP instead of $60.
I also love that they will have planes in it now also, going to love bombing bitches left and right. That community challenge (14,000,000 Kills I think it is) so that you can unlove Coral Island. I think that will be the most fun thing to do in the game, everyone grinding for the Map. It will be one of the best Arcade Games on the 360 if not the best.

DICE supposedly updated their Bad Company servers recently to work better. I stopped playing BC because of all the lag and issues, when I heard about the update I was psyched so I fired the game up... It's way worse than it's ever been. They completely broke it.
If 1943 is going to be running the same way, there's no way in hell I'll be buying it. I'll just be throwing away $15 on something I can't even play, that doesn't sound like a good financial decision to me.

i loved all battlefield games played on 1942,bf2,bf2142,bf-bc.. so im looking forward to this game big time... just been playing the beta version of battlefield heroes last few weeks...
06-11-2009, 05:18 AM
this game look awsome for a arcade game
06-11-2009, 10:30 AM
I have all the bf games, love em
cant wait for release date.
06-12-2009, 11:20 PM
to begin with, i must admit I was like "here we go again", what with BF Modern Combat, personally I hated and Bad Company, again, not a lover of.
BUT thats only the 360's Battlefield games - Jeez on the PC, I think i lost my engtire social life not to mention my mates, girlfriend etc (ok, bit of exaggeration, but you get the idea...) I'm sure mosat of you on here were the same in thinking the PC Battlefield games, BF2 & BF2142 obviously standing out, well to put it simply, they rocked...
That was some seriously good multiplayer FPS fun... yep FUN.
And the good thing about this new release is it looks just that - a great, fun to play, MP blast (OMG I must be really drunk cuz this has taken me about 15 minutes to type so far LOL).
So yeah, soz for rambling if I am, I dunno, but I really am looking fwd to it (although had to laugh at the video on marketplace with one of the designers saying the Coral Reef 43 Million kills achievement will take around 2 wks to get - we, in the UK, wont even get it for a month after everyone else)

Went for "Awesome"
As a BF:BC fan i was already looking forward to this but now i've seen the Vid on XBL, i'm itching for it!!! :Bounce:
It looks huge & only 1200MP! Sweet!
The 43,000,000 community kills thing is a welcome & unique twist too IMO...
06-15-2009, 08:43 PM
This game looks like the shit. :uzi:
II RUFF II
06-15-2009, 09:11 PM
Cant wait for this, the battlefield series is much better than the COD series i reckon, gonna be good!
06-18-2009, 04:47 AM
Awesome doesn't even begin to describe this game... I can't wait for it to come out!
06-20-2009, 01:06 PM
bf1942 was the absolute dogs when it came out, really looking forward to this.
Hopefully they release it July so not to interfere with the releases scheduled Sept/Oct.
06-21-2009, 05:25 PM
An easy 200g
an interesting opinion when the achievements arent even out yet
06-28-2009, 12:36 AM
looks awesome for an xbla game but cant wait gonna be the bestxbla game so far by miles :)
06-28-2009, 02:31 PM
Should be a great game, but I'm not expecting it to blow my mind or anything. It is just an XBLA game after all ;)
07-09-2009, 05:42 AM
this game blew my mind for a XBLA game. in many ways i'm finding it more fun then it's big brother bad company.
07-09-2009, 06:15 AM
For an XBL arcade game it have a good graphic!
But if you played BF BC during more than 100 hours you will see that the gameplay is a littlebit different in 1943.
I would be nice if we could choose at least between 2 guns for each class.
07-09-2009, 06:32 AM
Lets hope some DLC comes out to help that out.
07-09-2009, 08:23 AM
I'd love to see some DLC that gives you options for a few more weapons.
07-09-2009, 09:10 AM
i love it.... Can we have another option in the poll like
Its frickin great but im crap at it.....
07-09-2009, 09:22 AM
It's fun, but finding games is still a bit hard.
07-09-2009, 09:37 AM
It's great for an XBLA release and a great deal at $15. I played it for a few hours tonight and had a great time. It was getting a bit stale seeing the same maps over and over. And yeah I would love to have some different weapons or another class or something. It just felt a bit shallow, but I can't complain due to the price.
Like someone else said, hopefully some DLC will add some cool stuff. EA would be idiots to not at least release some more maps.
