For god sakes remove this damn thing or fix it, every time i open a forum or a topic or go back, it opens the damn Banner ad almost full screen and I gotta close it every time.

It's really annoying and making me mad.

Bump, I agree for the love of god man I'm not revisiting these forums until it's gone. Driving me mad.

Am I missing something?

As much as it'll annoy you, think you can print screen so we can have a look?
I've really not had this problem as far as I can tell

Ok this popped up as soon as I went from safari to Internet Explorer. Its an advertisement that the site probably got paid to put up. Its for the new xmen/wolverine movie. I can see why it is so annoying now but it doesn't seem to come up as often as they said, but still quite annoying.

Must've been fixed because earlier every single thread, link, anything on this entire site I clicked the damn ad would pop up.

No, it's still doing it. What I'm wondering is why the hell my ad blocker is stopping all ads but this one. Every page on the forums it will pop up automatically, and if you're clumsy closing it you may rollover it opening it up again.

I saw this movie a damn month ago, leave me alone with the ads.

If anyone can Print Screen, or Right Click it and find the source (obviously don't follow the link, just go to properties of the add and see where it wants to take you)

If it's just a normal google ad then there's nout we can do but ignore it.

Other than being annoying, is it actually doing anything...? Like, stopping access to anything/asking for details? Or is it just advertising XMen?

As you can see, it takes up the whole screen basically, and it pops up on every page. The source link is at the bottom left

I'm not surprised that's pissing you all off. But no, no sign of it here
Is it coming on particular pages or just randomly?

Just tryna get all the information so someone can sort it :)

CraveOnline seems to be a pretty normal site tbh, never heard of it before but it's just a news site for general entertainment; games, movies, sports...
They're running a Wolverine competition.

So at least it isn't anything too nasty (i.e. not another McHatter popup) :)
Obviously they just took their advert a bit far..
But there is a close button on the top right of the link.

If x360a have been paid to host it, they have to (unless the ad is against guidelines they agreed to). But for now, you'll just have to close the link and carry on.

When I made my first post it was occurring every new page I visited. Interestingly enough, as soon as I wanted to get a pic for you it stopped appearing for a few pages or so.

For the rest of you, so far I've found you can avoid it going from a topic to forum by clicking back instead of the link at the top (which is what I usually use)

I'm not understanding why my Firefox is blocking it, and yours isn't.

I went in to my Adblock preferences and added the filter for the link I captured in my pic (which also may explain why some of you aren't seeing it, it's cdn.assets.craveonline.com) and it's not bothering me anymore.

and that was locked, FYI, you know the banner ad generates revenue to operate the site right? all the complaints are coming from people that are not subscribers or people that make donations.....

i haven't seen this add at all, but still just run an adblock, or just be happy the movie comes out soon so it goes away. (i hate seeing the preview on TV, but i'm not going to bitch to the stations cuz i don't want to see it, cuz it brings them money)

I dont see it.. US only?

i'm not in the US and i'm having the same issue. it was alright the first time, but then almost every time i loaded a new page it would pop up again. my GF was laughing histerically at one point because it just kept popping up and making the sound it makes. and i would get more and more angry each time.

EDIT - as soon as i posted my reply, the new page it loaded had the fucking ad!!! i'm out of here until the ad is gone, it's WAY too annoying.

I still haven't seen it.

But I could see how that would be annoying. That is how they get money to keep the site going though.

Good stuff. It's weird that only a few people are seeing it, and that these few are seeing it A LOT.
I've still not seen it..

Are these people all on IE? Cause I'm on Firefox..
If that's anything?

It was a Canada only ad I do believe. It's been removed now.

Thanks, small adds around the edges of the screen are ok but those big ones suck.

Speaking with the guys that run the ads, it wasn't intended to run that way. Seems like more of a mistake in the creative. All sorted now though, which is the main thing :)

Thank God it's sorted. It was really starting to get on my nerves.
It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't for the super loud SNIKT or the half-page take over...

As annoying as ads may be, the truth is that bills have to be paid somehow. That's why I encourage everyone to donate if they can or even subscribe if possible. Every little bit helps.
