View Full Version : ISL champion with one controller

05-03-2009, 07:06 PM

The secret to ISL-champion is fighting in front of the cellar.

Multiplayer settings:
Arena : Front Yard (Day)
Game Type : Sprites and Goblins
Objective : 100 points

Select Simon because his gun is the superior weapon.

By setting the objective to 100 points you make sure you have all the time you need. No rush.

At the start of the game you run to the left of the house where the cellar is. You want to stand in front of the cellar in the high grass. Kill a toad only when you think it is safe. Do not stand with your back to the toads because sometimes a toad will jump across the barrier onto your back.

You will only fight green toads because the red ones and the stone-throwers don't even spawn. This also means it will take some time before you reach 100 points since green toads are only 1 point each.

Best Regards,

I have been trying to get this for a while, I stayed in that position, stood in the clump of grass and held a to charge the gun up. When i shot it hit any goblins in front of me. The stone throwing goblins came at about 85 points but this approach kept pushing them away so they couldn't throw stones at me

Good spotting there. :)

BTW, am I the only one who never saw any stone-throwing goblins in ISL?

Hi folks,

Can I just say it worked perfectly 4 me on my 1st attempt - didn't get any other goblins than the green 1's.

This should be added to the guide. Thank you for figuring this out for everyone. Doing what is in the guide already is good, but this is by far better.

This really should be added to the guide. Worked perfect for me and didn't get any stone throwers spawning.

Thanks for the great tip!

Excellent Job!! It worked the first time I tried your method & absolutely got nothing but Green Goblins. Made this A LOT easier & less frustrating. This Strategy Definitely needs to be added to the guide.

As of 16 May 11, this exploitable still works. I got it on my first try.

As of May 25, 2011 This exploit still works. I got it today but it took me a very tries because I had to get the rhythm down. I never had any enemies but the little green f*ckers. Worked really well. Also, one of them did jump on my back but the achievement still unlocked...just as long as you do not get any damage on your leaf health meter, it will still unlock. Much thanks to the original poster for the help. This is a great tip and easily the only "hard" achievement in the game.
