View Full Version : How Much Do You Spend On Fuel??

06-02-2009, 05:01 AM
When I say fuel I mean the fuel your controller runs on.... batteries. Do you go threw a couple a week? A couple a month? Rechargable? If rechargable isn't what you do how much do you spend a month on batteries.

Me personally I have rechargable Duracell I think I paid like $25 for the charger and 6 batteries (great investment). I have 2 batteries in each controller and a set always recharged. One of my controllers I hardly ever use so one dies gets charged I use the other controller.

What about you?

I bought the red controller and it has the plug and charge kit. No batteries for me!

I'm the same as jaSHUEah. I have a charger and 4 rechargeable batteries. When the juice runs out of one controller (usually lasts a week for me), I've got the other set already charged. As long as nobody comes over to play on the day one set runs out, it works for me (or they bring their own controller :)).

^ i did that for awhile but charger or batteries are not working, so i got the same thing as thegreatest7884.. red controller + plug n play...

Before I got the rechargable batteries I was spending like $25 a month on them things.... Crazy expensive after a while. Next gen BETTER have a controller like the PS3

Ive got 2 plug and play kits, but Ive also got a duracell AAA/AA battery charger, mostly for my Turtle Beaches. but Ive got a green controller that was only made in Europe, and since theres no green accessories, and with my OCD, i just use rechargables for it, because i dont like having a different colored battery pack.

I have the desktop charger, the one that takes 2 of the battery packs. So when one ones out the other is always fully charged. After the initial layout for the charger and te extra battery, about 18, it costs me nothing a month now.

i have 3 plug n plays.

I have one of the quick charge kits and 2 (soon to be 3) battery packs. I'll be moving in to a house with 5 male IT students in in September so I imagine I'll need a fourth :p

I picked up a Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda kit with wireless controller for 20. Best 20 I've spent on my Xbox.

I have 2 play and charge kits.

Also have a battery recharge station, with 4 batteries. Spent around $40 on them. I use the batteries in my guitar and drum kit.

Will probably buy more batteries one day. They are a good investment...

Misleading title btw.

I have three controllers. Two wireless with battery pack and one wired.
I actually tend to use the wired one more often than not as I really hate that flashing light on the guide button when your batteries are less than half empty.

Plus, that way I always have fully charged batteries when my friends come over to play MP

I've got the charge and play/rechargeable batteries on all my controllers...I charge my controller maybe once a week, if even that...These batteries are freakin awesome, I've got some friends that have the same batteries and I play more than they do and theirs still only last like a day b4 they gotta be charged again...Guess I got lucky.

I've got the plug and play for one of my controllers but if I got friends over and I'm using it then I have rechargeable batteries as back-up.

I have play and charge kit

I use these with a recharger - Energizer Reachargable Advanced AA Size NIMH, 2500MAH: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

They are absolutely amazing, each pair lasts for ages.

Anyway, I think it defeats the object of having a wireless controller by being shackled to the console with a Play and Charge kit :) Just buy some rechargeable batteries.

I have enough rechargeable batteries and a quick charger so I never run out of fuel.

06-02-2009, 02:22 PM
:lmao @ people wasting money on batteries gor their xbox controller on where you could of save men but buying one of the rechargable products xbox got.

Sadly i have 3 rechargable batteries.. My charger is faulty so it only charges 2 out of 4 batteriers at 1 time.

I used to have 2 on charge and using the other 2. Since i lost that battery ive had the times sitting watching a dvd because they ran out.. or in some cases playing something online and batteries die out..

I do want to get a plug in and play charger kit though... wouldnt have a problem, hm..i get paid tomorrow..i might get it. :p

Have a charger and 2 battery packs. We need to pick up another one for my one kid who plays a lot. We've been using regular batteries for him, throwing money down the drain basically.

Even though I have the red controller with the charge cable, I still buy batteries for my other controllers. MY brother ends up stealing them.

06-02-2009, 03:45 PM
I got fuel on play.com for 29.99
and as for batteries i spent 10 on rechargeable (4) then i have never used any other 4 battery

I bought this stupid plug n play kit from madcatz. I wanted to save 5 bucks but it ended up screwing me over. The battery lasts for about 4 hours and then takes over 5 to recharge. Now I'm back to plain old batteries.

06-02-2009, 06:55 PM
I use rechargeable ones and I only need to charge them about once every 2 weeks.

06-02-2009, 07:29 PM
I use the play & charge kit and never have it out whilst playing because when i have it out, i play bad on any game or it could be just a coincedence:p

06-02-2009, 11:30 PM
Rocking the play and charge kit.

06-02-2009, 11:45 PM
