View Full Version : What do people see as a 'big' gamerscore?

06-06-2009, 12:58 AM
I have always wondered what people considered to be a huge gamerscore, I sued to think 30k was big until i joined this site. Some people's gamerscore on this site is unthinkable, with many on 100k and more!

So what you think?

Anyone over 100k makes me go wow. I wish I had enough time to get a score like that.

06-06-2009, 01:19 AM
Hmm hard question.

I would have to say 70000+, but I mean I can be impressed by a person that got 20000gs and a good completion or a person with 10000 and 1ked some hard games.

So its not all about the score, imo.

Its all relative!

When i started out in 06, 10k gamerscore was like "woah" because i just played MP's and had 500gs!

Then slowly it crawled up to 10k, & a friend bought his 360 & started raping games from day one.... He got 30k & then that was "big"!

I had to kick his ass so i got 50k & thought that was beefy... Untill i came on here & saw the 100k - 200k people!! Now, thats what seems "Big"!....

06-06-2009, 01:30 AM
i really dont care what size my e-penis is i just think its fun to play games and actually get something for it

06-06-2009, 01:38 AM
Around when I first got my xbox, like Knuckles, 10k was a lot. Now though, I consider 125k or so a lot.

06-06-2009, 01:39 AM
I used to think 50K or over, now 80-90K.

06-06-2009, 01:50 AM
I used to think every 1000 was like getting another notch on your belt... from 2,000... 3,000... 8,000... 10,000...

...now I see it as every 10,000 is a new notch and 100,000 is a shiny new belt. I'm always happy to hit that next 10,000. For me, anything 40,000 and up starts to get big. 100,000 is huge, 200,000 is insane, and 300,000 is un-fucking-believable.

06-06-2009, 02:54 AM
Anything over 70,000+. ;) This has been discussed here before.

06-06-2009, 03:10 AM
big for me is 100 000+ i only got 39k-ish

06-06-2009, 03:13 AM
Hmm... For me, it has to be around 30k or up :)
I really don't care too much about achievements, but they are fun, of course!

06-06-2009, 04:18 AM
Around most of my friends, 10k is still considered big, heh. My plans for the end of this year are 30k, and I see that as "stable." 70k sounds about right to be called "big," since that is about where you can start putting your rank in your state in your sig and have it seem amazing.

Let's try...

0-5k = Casual Gamer
5k-15k = Good Gamer
15k-30k = Proud Gamer
30k - 50k = True Gamer
50k - 75k = Awesome Gamer
75k - 100k = Grand Gamer
100k - 200k = Pro Gamer
200k - 300k = 1337 Gamer
300k - 300k+ = Omnipotent Gamer

Seems like a fair scale to me.

06-06-2009, 12:08 PM
If i see people with 50K or above?, I'm thinking shit thats alot despite me nearly being there, i mean i will be amazed at myself when i do get there thinking wtf have i been doing to get this far! :p

I think...
over 50,000 is a big gamerscore
over 80,000 is a huge gamerscore
over 150,000 is just WOW
over 250,000 is get a life!

06-06-2009, 12:26 PM
Anything above 20 K IMO.
I barely got upto 5700 :p

06-06-2009, 12:36 PM
It depends really, someone who has 100k would generally be considered to have an impressive score but they could have got their 360 on day one and got that from 300 or so games. On the other hand some one with 50k wouldn't generally be considered as impressive, but they could have got that in a year from 60 games.

In that situation i'd consider the 50k to be much more impressive.

06-06-2009, 12:38 PM
I think anything about 50k is a large amount of gamerscore.

You have to realize that everyone's answers will change by this time next year as Stallion83 will probably be sitting on 410,000 by then. But no mater how far the guys like him carry their gamerscores, to me 100k plus will still be impressive.

06-06-2009, 12:44 PM
Anything over 50k is a big Gamescore

06-06-2009, 01:02 PM
i think anything over 50,000 is quite a lot, and then 100,000 is :O!

06-06-2009, 01:06 PM
100k +

Or around 50k with some HARD games completed. No not long .. HARD.

I always get told I have no life for almost 71k GS, ofcourse this is from little idiots with say 1000GS and suck so bad at the game thats their only form of insult they can come up with

Id say alot of GS is around 100k, however if you only have 8 games and 8000GS thats obviously alot too considering how many titles you have played

06-06-2009, 03:52 PM
I think big is over 50k as it needs you to complete 40-50 games and that is a lot of gaming hours.

06-06-2009, 03:55 PM
I just recently hit my 10k mark. I used to think 10k was a lot also, but 100k and 200k's are crazy. That's a mark I'm never getting to.

06-06-2009, 05:06 PM
I think 50k is big, though not necessarily as impressive as say someone with 20k and 100% completion on all their games - some of which are hard games.

06-06-2009, 05:09 PM
50k - 100k +

06-06-2009, 05:16 PM
Anything above a 100K score is impressive.
If I had been an avid gamer ever since I got my 360 I'd probably be close to that mark but since I wasn't so into the 360 at its initial launch I didn't play that many games during my high school years and for the past 10 months I've actually been really into my GS.

06-06-2009, 06:32 PM
I think anything over 100,000 I consider "big"

06-06-2009, 07:23 PM
anything over 40k is pretty impressive by my standards

06-06-2009, 07:27 PM
I think anything over 100k Gs can be considered "big".200k is huge and 300k insane.

06-06-2009, 07:31 PM
50K plus.

Its taken me a long time to get to 18k. Then again, I've never really played the Avatar type games.

Well just the other day, like three people said they are shocked to see someone with 50k(me). One of the guys also said his friend didnt believe there were people with 50k(doesnt make sense since lots of you guys have 50k+) and the guy proved his friend wrong

I get shocked at people with 20k-40k with good completion skills but get "Wow'd" at 70k.

06-06-2009, 08:04 PM
70k makes me jealous.

06-06-2009, 08:33 PM
I think 25K is when you reach "big" gamerscore.

Ry Fryy
06-06-2009, 10:38 PM
Anything over 70,000+. ;)
Nar. 83,000+. :p

Bitch, did you remove me from fb??!

06-06-2009, 10:46 PM
50,000 plus is pretty impressive i suppose

06-06-2009, 10:51 PM
Pretty much anything above my own. When I was on 3k I remember looking up to a friend with 25k thinking 'omg how the hell has he done that, no way'. But now I have beaten that it wasn't so hard...it just comes with time. I know in a years time and look back and thinking wow 26k, how shit.

06-06-2009, 11:13 PM
:goodpost That is kind of the way I look at it, and reading these posts, I also agree that people with 200k + is bordering on get a life. Not only must they have a lot of spare time on their hands, but where do they get the money for all their games

06-06-2009, 11:26 PM
Well, I got 43K and thats considered "get a life" by some people on Live.

06-06-2009, 11:28 PM
80000+ i would say

06-06-2009, 11:35 PM
Well, I got 43K and thats considered "get a life" by some people on Live.
I don't think anything below 100k can even be considered "get a life" gamerscore, wouldn't take them seriosuly.

06-07-2009, 05:40 AM
I remember having 3000 and seeing people over 10000 and thinking, "Wow, he's good". Now, I only say that to the 100000+ players.

Fonkey Monkey
06-07-2009, 05:46 AM
i consider anything over 60k big, thats a pretty large amount of time invested into it. anything over 75k and you probably dont live a very exciting life outside of gaming. like this guy over here

06-07-2009, 06:14 AM
id say 170-200k and up

Sweenaldo 1985
06-07-2009, 12:55 PM
100k up is a big score i'd say...it's a milestone I'm eager to get to...

06-07-2009, 01:54 PM
not really bothered about it but if someone has 10k and played only 10 games got 1000/1000 on all i'll be amazed.

06-07-2009, 04:20 PM
50-60K is the norm these days, I go with 70K up seeing as how i've only actually played with one person with 70k, and dozens of 50-60K's

Anything over 100K is very good but over 30k I think is still quite good.

06-07-2009, 08:12 PM
I used to only judge it against a friend's, but now I've started achieving mine is over doubles his! Unfortunately through a few boostings I've now got people on my friend list with 50k+, and I feel inadequate! D:

06-07-2009, 08:30 PM
Well I think that 50k is impressed. But not as then 100k,200,300k and beyound that. And I have earned 10,105 points this year. And this year is is almost half way over. And I never get this far until like late summer. And if I keep trucking. I will go over the 50k mark very easy.

06-07-2009, 10:51 PM
At first, 7000-8000 looked huge.

Now I personally think that 70,000G is pretty big and I am really looking forward to getting that as my favourite number is 7.

06-08-2009, 10:37 AM
As soon as I got my 1st achievement from PGR3 I always wanted 100k..On reaching my goal I don't whore as much..

100k is a good score but with all the games now available I'm starting to see a lot of players getting up towards 200k..so IMO 200k is the score of a major gamerscore player.

06-08-2009, 10:45 AM
Anything over 50K to me is impressive. The more gamerscore points you have is obviously EYE CANDY .... lol

06-08-2009, 10:59 AM
I'd say anything over 100K is an awesome gamerscore.

06-08-2009, 11:09 AM
50k looks sweet, looks big as a gamescore but no doubt a 6 figure gamescore of 100k would look even bigger.

06-08-2009, 12:18 PM
ATM I say 6 digits, but for someone on 5k - 10k they say woah to me a lot.

Anybody with a gamerscore above 50k is god (god).

06-08-2009, 02:56 PM
for me, it's like 50k gs

06-08-2009, 04:43 PM
I think anything over 50k is big...

But I really dont care, I'm in it for the same reason as Dz06lt (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/member.php?u=50959)

06-08-2009, 06:04 PM
Prolly 70k and up. Although some people still see 30k as having "No Life" :PPP

06-08-2009, 06:23 PM
I would have to say 80k+ is what I'd say is "big"

06-08-2009, 06:50 PM
25,000 + with alot of 1000G games ...

EDIT: just noticed the guy who posted above has the same avatar as mine lol coinsedence

06-08-2009, 07:14 PM
I consider around 75K big :) and then anything above that is just pretty damn good ;D
When i first got my xbox i was like :O woah 5,000 thats huge :) but now i'm at like 21K so it's all peach

06-09-2009, 12:10 AM
I think anything over 100k is 'wow' and 200k is 'wow!'. As my friends can admit, you simply need to beat games to get a decent game. I like to play a game and beat it with getting a few extra points along the way. They may start a game but quit less than a third of the way thru it.

Eh, I should change my motto to: has the patience to finish a game.

06-09-2009, 12:11 AM
big is the guys who pwned on the 360 and have over 300k gamerscore, i bow to you folks.
