Virtua Tennis 2009 FAQ



1. What is Virtua Tennis 2009?
Virtua Tennis 2009 is a sports game developed by SUMO Digital and published by SEGA.


2. What platforms will it be released on?
Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii home consoles, and Windows.


3. When will it be released?
The initial release date set by SEGA was May 19th for North America and May 22nd for Europe. However, the game has been recently reported to be delayed until the first week of June.


4. How will it differ from VT3?
Some new features in VT2009 include: A licensed Davis Cup, redesigned World Tour mode, new Create-A-Player mode, new minigames and more.


5. Will it be playable online?
Yes it will feature online play for every platform, and the new World Tour mode will link in to it.


6. How will the World Tour mode join with the online mode?
Playing World Tour will automatically enter you into the leaderboard of everybody else who has played World Tour. Tournaments can also be played online and will be rewarded with prize money to spend in the tennis store.


7. What is the tennis store?
The tennis store will feature over 800 items for your created player.


8. What has become of the diving system?
It has been replaced with a more realistic stumbling system.


9. How many courts will there be? What are they?
There will be 40 courts, but not many have been revealed yet. However, two of the new courts are Dubai and Shanghai.


10. Are there any new players? Do you know the roster?
Yes, there are new players. The complete roster is as follows:ROSTER:

With eleven male players, nine female players and three legends, this year's line up is the biggest and best for any tennis game. Don't forget that you can also create your very own player to progress through the World Tour."

lol i must admit vt2 on the dreamcast was a great game.
