Several magazines have started running articles on incerasing your gamerscore, fast. Unfortunately, most of them are making ridiculous claims that you can increase your score by 10 thousand in a week by following their guides. This is far from true as the games they pick aren't always ideal.

So, my question to you is this, if you had to advise someone of a way to increase their gamerscore by ten thousand in a week, what games would you choose? Obvious choices would be Avatar and any 2006 sports title, but I want you guys to get a little more creative! With that in mind, I'm adding ni a rule that the games must be fun to play. Good luck!

My list would definately include:
- Resident Evil 5
- Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
- Fallout 3
- Star Wars: Force Unleashed
- Halo 3

I think there is a thread on this already, also I don't think Fallout 3 classifies as something that would be quick gamerscore.

The 360 version - No

The PC version - Yes, because you can unlock all 1350 in about 1 min.

I think 10,000 is possible in a day, but thats an entire other conversation, I guess.

My list of fun games that are easy to get 1000 in...?
Need For Speed: Most Wanted
Full Auto
GRAW2
DiRT

A game I've played that I would recommend is Civilization: Revolutions. It's a fun game that you get a thousand in fairly quickly if you know what you're doing.

Other games that are listed as fairly quick (>25 hours) would be COD 2, COD 4, and COD WAW. Those are some pretty good games as well.

Fallout 3? It's a fun and relatively stressless 100%, but you might wanna check how long your main save file has. I had about 100 hours when I got 1350.

A couple of mine would be
Avatar (duh)
COD4
CODWAW (both are easy 1000s if you know what your doing, I beat the entire capaign in a day once)
Civilization Revolution (Easy 1000 if your lucky, otherwise an easy 980)
King Kong
RE5

That's all I can think of off the top of my head

Bioshock
X-Men Origins - Wolverine
TMNT
Madden Games
Godfather 2
LOTR Conquest
Wrestling Games
Scene It games

All easy for achievements in the most part although a few of them arent too quick or all 1000's etc. But they are easy games for G.

ya as Maka said you could probably going for 10k in a single day if you felt like it, Avatar takes 3 minutes and there is CSI which takes an hour. King kong is quick, there are a bunch check out the quick 1000's and look at the top under less than 5 hours there will be some that are really easy

You could easily get 10000 in a week if you choose games that have relatively quick 1000's or even quick 500's. You could get it in a week easy.

There was a thread about getting 10k in 30 hours. And to be honest, it actually seemed doable give or take a few hours.

What I'd do for 10k in a week:
Avatar
NBA 2K6
MLB 2K6
NHL 2K6
College Hoops 2K6
Guitar Hero II
Guitar Hero Aerosmith
Cars
Cars: Mater National
DDRU1, DDRU2, DDRU3
NBA Live 06
Gunstar Heroes
Altered Beast
Uno

That could easily put you over 10k in a few days, let alone a week. That's 13190G right there.

Terminator Salvation - 1K in one playthrough
Velvet Assassin - around 800-900 in one playthrough getting all collectibles.
The Godfather 2 - Another 1K in one playthrough
Pure - Pretty easy 900
TMNT - Another fast 1K under 5 hours
The Bourne Conspiracy - Very fun game, hands out the achievements.

All games that I enjoyed and happened to get a high gamerscore with.

Terminator Salvation
TMNT
King Kong
CSI
Fight Night Round 3

I believe if i dedicated myself personally to these games over a period of a week then i could collect all the gamerscore from them. which is a total of around 16000

You guys are missing another ubiquitous, cheap title that's an easy 1000. Tetris Evolution.

I've boosted it for friends before and the whole process can take 2 hours with a guide. Heck, if you don't want to play all the way to 1000, in one really well done Marathon single player game you get 500G if I'm not mistaken.

In terms of Spider-man games, skip Web of Shadows and play Friend or Foe; 925 on one playthrough if you get all the collectibles (piss-easy if you've played any game with collectibles before, as these are pretty much giveaways) and then the other 75 just requires a couple runs of the last level. Under 10 hours, easily.
Sonic's Ultimate Game Collection is another one you can breeze through; most achievements are given very early in the game and the only real challenges are getting the Yatta! achievement for 50 points (beat Mean Bean Machine; just put in the last level password and play it through until you get lucky) and having a second controller for Unlock Everything.
In terms of Arcade, Dash of Destruction. 20 minutes and you have everything, and it's free.

From OXM (May 07)
Galaga
New Rally-X
Pac-Man
Ms. Pac-Man
Uno
Heavy Weapon

Open Season
Fight Night Round 3
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland
NBA Live 06
Fuzion Frenzy 2

OK, so I know that definitely isn't the easiest way to get 10000 in a week, or from the magazines article- 30 Hours.

I don't know what the hell you guys are thinking about Web of Shadows for, getting all of the collectibles takes forever because there's so many I haven't even found all of them yet.

In theory that would net you 10350gs, and I reckon those could be done over the space of a week.

If you had a whole week free, where you did nothing but game it could be possible (and enjoyable) to hit 10K with this list:

Red Alert 3: Do a hard, co-op run through of all campaigns. That'll knock out over half the achievements. Rest are fairly simple. Estimated time- 1 day.

Call of Juarez: Two playthrough's required. 300 kills in MP. This one will also take a day.

Jericho: This game is easy, both in terms of GS and gameplay. Lets say 8 hours for completion.

Simpsons Game: Another fairly simple game. Only issue is the collectibles. Pumps this one up to 16 hours.

Fight Night Round 3: Requires a playthrough of the career. 8 hours.

NFS Most Wanted: Haven't played this personally, but from what I hear, it is quite simple. 16 hours.

Scene It? LCA: Great game. The 1000 will come in no time. Lets say another 8 hours.

Sonics UGC: Another I've not had the pleasure of playing. Only hard achievement is beating MBM. 8 hours.

Dash of Destruction/Golden Axe/New Rally X/Pac Man/Ms Pac Man: A quick arcade onslaught. I will suggest a very conservative time of completion for these. 8 hours. Just to keep things nice and neat.

Two days to spare, 1000 needed. The best game saved for last.

Bioshock: Can be fully completed in one playthrough. Collectable's and reloading for Brass Balls achievement increases length. 2 days.

That rounds up the 10K week! Obviously, my times are estimations, and could be well off in some cases. Who games 24 hours a day for a whole week? lol. Anyway, 10K in a week is extremely possible.

There is easily 20k that can be earned in a week if you really wanna go for it.

He did say to list games which were enjoyable. Who really played through Avatar and thought "Wow, what an amazing game!"

There are alot of unnecessary threads and questions asked on a daily basis. Thats the internet. I just play along. It's abit of fun.

Fallout 3, whilst fun as hell, and easy(ish) in skill, is a bit of a time sink, like Oblivion! Lego Indiana Jones was awesome to get 1000 in, although my 1000 did involve an hour or so of grinding!

Darth Grif55
06-21-2009, 03:39 AM
You should try out Lego Batman then too. The achievements are similar to the Lego Indy ones except Batman-ified. The campaign is longer though, but there's no Super Story Mode like in the Star Wars ones.
