I just rented this game two days ago. I played the first level (training) as well as I could, checked my stats and got the 100,000 and the 10,000, played the first actual mission and got gold, played it again and got platinum and got Bonecrusher without even checking the stats again. I think its very possible to get it right now. Might take you another level or two.

I doubt most casual players will get Platinum status on many levels. If you want Bonecrusher, just go for the 1000 as normal, working on Platinums. At least one of them should get you in the top 1000 for a mission. I got mine by only getting Gold on the Decepticon training mission (rank 755) and then I moved up even further with a Platinum score.

i just rented the game today and on the training level i got around 7:00 going as fast as i could but only got to about 4000ish on the leaderboard but the on the next level i got 3:01 and was ranked 307 on that one and got the achieve :D ..so its still possible.
i would hurry though as this might end up being a pain in a few months time.

I just finished the autobot campaign last night. I went to the leaderboards to check out how hard the achievement would have been to get if I hadn't had tried to get it when I first started playing. Through all the missions I was in the top 1000 in 3 with time and 4 with score. This was without trying. I made no real attempt at getting platinum and didn't replay any missions until after I beat the campaign. I really don't think this achievement is going to be that tough, at least not intially. Of course, as more people play the tougher it will get but with so many different leaderboards getting into one shouldn't be too difficult.

At this point, you should get it before you finish one of the camppaigns.

I got it by replaying the autobot training level because when i first completed it i was rank 2002 or something like that. I then checked the time for the person ranked at 1000 so i replayed it and managed to beat his time by about 45 seconds, it got me 407 on the leaderboards at the time. Its certainly doable if you set your mind to it but once this game filters out everywhere and people start going for platinums then it'll get a lot harder. Those 3 achievements were the main reason i got this game so quick so that i am able to obtain a full 1000 out of this game as the gamerscore whore i am!
Otherwise i would've waited to watch the film and maybe checked the game out then.

my question is how the heck do the autobot training in 4 minutes?
06-27-2009, 01:51 AM
I'm from the UK, played the 1st level in autobots campaign and got a platinum medal. Then when i choosing the 2nd level ... it gave me all 3 leaderboard achievements .. i thought it was a glitch or maybe i'm just too damm good . i thought that getting into the top 1000 would be insane especially as i'm sure alot of achievment hunters would be wanting that top 1000 and geek it .
06-27-2009, 08:09 AM
ok i didnt think i would but i got the achievement:woop: i just replayed the training level a couple of times looked on the boards and was number 662 then bam achievement unlocked. now those platinum in all missions is going to be impossible

Wow I got this without even realising. I thought it was overall score so I've been breaking my balls trying to get it higher, only to realise it was for a single mission I'd already done it!
My advice is to try and get a really quick time on "To the Skies". It's a really short mission and you can master it pretty quickly. Smash the targets as fast as you can and take out the probes.
After about 10 or so tries I got 8th spot on the leaderboards. Easy ;)

yea i got mine today, i just had to remember where the waypoints were and not to mess around and i am 560.
06-28-2009, 12:44 AM
I got this on the 4th or 5th Autobot mission, ended up being 622 in the world.

i just got it in the training mission. got gold on decepticons. wasn't even trying haha

It is easy now, in a couple months who knows. They don't have any plans to reset them so do it sooner rather than later. There are 46 total missions and you can get energon or time so that is 92 total leaderboards. Plus 2 for overall. So you have the opportunity.

Thought I would post in here. I got around 600ish on the leaderboards today based on time in the Decepticon tutorial and I know I could go another 10 secs quicker if I kept at it. I doubt they will reset the leaderboards.
What I did was if I made a mistake I would restart but remember what direction I had to go in for the next checkpoint. So about 4 or so restarts on my final run and it made it so easy to remember what the quickest path was. And I left the time tokens (not sure what they are called) on the roofs and picked them up when flying the chopper.

there are 23 missions per side and you can place in overall time or score for each mission and for the total of each side
there are 48 leaderboards that you can get ranked on... multiply that by 1000 being the hardest of the 3 achievements and you have 48,000 people who can get the ach assuming each person holds only 1 position...
About 30,000-40,000(i guess) people can get the top 1k ach assuming that they at least know how to play the game and some may hold 2 positions. You shouldn't worry about this achievement. Platinum achievements are really easy and so far all the people that have platinum are within top 1 k. You can just go for score and end up with a bronze but be top 1k too.
I am in top 10 on 4 or 5 leaderboards and top 100 on all the others for time and I could care less about score because that is just too many leaderboards to check :)

Yeah I just played the decepticon tutorial a few times to show my son stuff and unlock another episode for him to watch and got 14th based on time.
Some may not get good ranking first time through but stick at it and learn the quickest route.

This thread could be a good running timeline of this achievement getting harder.
Knowing that there were leaderboard achievements (I thought developers learned their lesson 3 fucking years ago) I checked the game out. After an initial run through of the Autobots training mission, it took 3 run through to get it right. Ended up destroying my friend's times and got 5:20, good enough for 303rd place.
Check up left for time stamp.

my 9th on decepticon tutorial has slipped to 12th so its 3 spots harder now lol

Wow, i got this achievement without even trying for it, i was doing one of the shanghai missions for autobots (just rented the game today) and got all 3 achievements right away.
07-10-2009, 06:20 AM
got mine the day i bough it maby level 3 of decepticons, but i noticed someimposible time scores on some levels like .03 of a second and stuff like that but who knows
07-10-2009, 04:18 PM
I just got Bonecrusher last night - played the level on autobot campaign where you have to escort the axiom weapon - took me a few tries (didn't see the shortcuts) - placed 142
07-11-2009, 11:09 PM
I got all three of them on the autobot one. But do not ask me why. Even I not in the top 1000 places. Some how i have enought points to recived it.
07-16-2009, 11:17 AM
im ranked (or was) 10th on the decepticon trainging mission, what i noticed is that as starscream is talking the timer continues, so for some reason i pressed the guide, i noticed that starscream cntinued to speak but the timer had stopped, after he finished speakin i closed guide and went straight into the fight, then at every point he spoke i pressed the guide and waited for im to finish.

you can always grind out the missions and build your overall score for the autobot or decepticon and get in the top 1000 that way it really isnt that hard
07-20-2009, 07:15 PM
Yeah, it's possible I just did one level and it popped up.

It's worth mentioning that it's still very possible to get into the top 1,000 by doing the 2nd to last Autobot mission in which you have to fight Devestator.
1. Select Optimus Prime (Flight)
2. For the first part of the game while you can't actually hurt Devestator, fly around collecting a few skill shots. This will stop the clock while the NEST teams get a laser lock on Devestator's back launchers.
3. Once Devestator reaches the first corner, use Prime's charged secondary weapon. With a direct hit, each launcher should take only 1 or 2 hits to destroy.
4. Having knocked the weapons off his back, you'll have to kill some more time while waiting for the big lump to get to the 2nd corner. Collect any remaining skill shots and get into position BEHIND him ready for the next step.
5. Once his arse mounted cannons appear, hit them again with fully charged shots Prime's second weapon. Again you'll only need 1 or 2 hits to take each of them out.
6. By this stage you should be at about the 2 minute mark. His arm cannons will appear soon after the rear ones have been taken offline, so start flanking Devestator ready for their appearence. These take a single direct hit to knock out so shouldn't be too much of a problem.
7. Finally swing around directly in front of him and put 2 charged attacks on his head. One to remove the armor, the second for the kill.
I forgot to mention that hovering is the best way to do this of course. Don't hover too high or too low however, as you'll only make it more difficult on yourself. I reccomend slightly abover back height. Also ignore the ground enemies and use Prime's shield if you're taking too much damage, As of writing this, you only need to pull in under 2 min 50 sec for a top 1000 berth. It's stupidly easy but best of luck anyway :)

It's still very possible. I'm on my first playthrough now and I got it on the Riding Shotgun level for the Autobots. A score of 89510 put me 673rd in the world, we're still at the stage where grinding out platinum medals will get you the Bonecrusher achievement at least somewhere along the line but it gets a little bit harder every day.
07-25-2009, 02:43 PM
Double posting just to say I'm ranked 2nd in the world for The Guns of Cairo if you sort by score. I just farmed enemies for 10 minutes before I got bored and finished the mission and it gave me 186,020 points which puts me 9000 behind the guy ranked number 1. So yeah, on missions where you can exploit things like that, it's still easy.
