In an interview with the Seattle Times, Bungie revealed it got an early look at Project Natal. The creators of Halo, Myth, Oni, and Marathon, let the door open for Halo Reach, a prequel to the Halo trilogy, to make use of this controller-free motion-sensing technology.

Bungie Studios President Harold Ryan said he's enthusiastic about the device and told the newspaper: "I absolutely think 'Reach' could be enabled with it."

Project Natal is the codename for a new technology developed by Microsoft that lets players control and interact with the Xbox 360 through gestures, facial recognition, spoken commands, and without the need to touch any controller.

Created by Bungie, Halo: Reach will be available in the fall of 2010 exclusively on Xbox 360. Source: http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/20080/Bungie-Halo-Reach-Could-Use-Project-Natal/

You ever wondered what the bottom of a Spartans boot looked like?

I dunno about them using Natal for Reach...personally, the Wii motion sensing for *everything* wore off for me, now it just collects dust. I'd much rather use my 360 controller than get onboard with the motion-sensing craze

Most likely wont happen unless there is an update andthe NATAL support comes out as DLC. This is because Reach is out on 24th Sept and Natal was rumoured to be released in Novemeber. You work it out.

Sounds very, very, very....very expensive.

I was looking forward to this game until I heard that, I'm not buying Natal (unless it's reasonably priced) for one game, even Halo. Does this mean the beta will require Natal?

The game will flop if it requires Natal.

Not necessary true. If Bungie is smart they could have a great launch game for NATAL.
