The Secret of Monkey Island is a classic PC adventure game from the early 90s back when LucasArts was at the head of the market for these sorts of games. This port is essentially the same, except it can be played either in the original graphical style or with completely overhauled graphics and full voice work.

In terms of a full 200http://live.xbox.com/xweb/lib/images/G_Icon_External.gif, it is not a very hard game but some achievements are missable if you don't see them coming. These are Ten Minutes Later..., Determined, and Marooned Everyone. Determined is there on technicality, as if you accidentally press X and bring up a cheat it will mess up your game, but reloading a save will fix this so long as you realize you've done it. Marooned Everyone requires you to obtain two “endings”, but you can save the game before you have to make the decision, beat it one way, and then reload it to play the last part over the other way.

Human Cannonball is also very tricky. While the game is not very long and you can do a speed run in about two hours or so if you know the game (even less if you have a guide), it will be tight if you try to obtain Sharp Tongue and Ten Minutes Later... in the same run. Also, because you will have to skip dialogue to shave time, you will miss out on some of the better comedic writing in a video game, so I suggest getting to know the game on your first run and then unlocking Marooned Everyone and Human Cannonball after soaking in the experience.

Completed Last Part - Guybrush Kicks Butt. Guybrush stopped LeChuck from marrying Elaine Marley.
All four of these are story-related and obtained just by completing the game. The Three trials is the longest chapter, The Journey is fairly quick, Under Monkey Island is about twice that, and Guybrush Kicks Butt should take you all of about five minutes to unlock. Consult a walkthrough if you have trouble at any point.

Experienced the original, classic adventure game, as it was in the early 90s.
Simply press Back as soon as you have control of Guybrush to revert to the original graphics.

Guybrush can hold his breath for 10 minutes, but not any longer than that.
After stealing the idol from Governor Marley's mansion you will be held up by Fester Shinetop and put into the water. Merely leave the control idle for ten minutes and it will unlock, then reload your save because at the 10 minute mark Guybrush drowns. You can only obtain it this one time.

Guybrush learned all of the insults, and is the wittiest/deadliest pirate what ever swung a sword.
After being trained to fight, go to the map and wait for pirates to walk by you. When there, say “” and fight them. Since insults are randomized it may take a while for you to get all of them, but they won't be that difficult to obtain.

Escaped from the monkey island cannibals hut 5 times.
In the chapter Under Monkey Island, you will be captured by the cannibals. Pick up the skull and loose floorboard in the hut to escape, then re-enter town, walk back to the hut and then back toward the exit and you will be captured again. Do this three more times.

Collected all of the notes and memos sent between Herman Toothrot, LeChuck and the Cannibals.
In Under Monkey Island, you will find notes almost everywhere. Merely look at them to pick them up. They are on every beach except the starting beach, the River Fork, and the cannibal hut. Be sure to pick up the note near the statue before dropping a rock on it, because when you drop the rock on it another note will be there.

Completed the game without using any hints
To do this, just don't press X to bring up a hint. There's a slight delay between pressing it and it coming up, so don't be worry if you pressed it and released it before anything comes up. If you do accidentally make one come up, just reload your save. I did tested it on my first run to be sure and it did indeed unlock. Use a walkthrough if you're stuck and need to use a hint.

Re-marooned Herman Toothrot and marooned Carla, Otis and Meathook on Monkey Island™.
When shooting the rock to the tree on the beach in Under Monkey Island, you can position the statue so that the rock will hit the Sea Monkey. Do this on one of your playthroughs to sink the ship. If you don't want to play up to that point again, save and do it just before going to LeChuck's lair so that you won't have to play through too much over again.

Finish the entire game in under 3 hours
My only advice if you don't know the game is to use a walkthrough for pretty much everything. You can clear it easily in under two hours if you use this method or know the game well, but some puzzles may leave you bewildered enough to waste time if you aren't familiar with the genre. Also of help is pressing Y whenever possible to skip some dialogue, and if you are doing this on your first run, saving and reloading after accomplishing Ten Minutes Later... and Sharp Tongue.

There are already two guides for this game an have been up for quite awhile, not sure a third one is needed as this does'nt give any new information.

Only saw one at the time, had this written as I went through the game, and most games tend to have a couple guides up at the beginning, so I posted it anyway.

I think this is the best guide out of the few, and the most complete. For some of the info this one doesn't have that others do, they could just be combined...
