I am considering buying this game, I was wondering if it was a good rpg. It got bad reviews =\ long ago.

I've had this game since it came out. Sadly lol, I just started playing it.(I do that a lot with games I have too many)Anyhow, I'm glad I purchased it, I'm about 15 hours into it and the game is solid if you like traditional JRPGs.

It was worth the 5$ I paid for it lol

If you're asking if it has replay value, I didn't think so. I didn't really like it and I love a lot of turn based RPGs. If it's worth the easy 1000 and you're buying it for really cheap, go for it.

I agree with the whole zero replay value. There's better RPGS on the 360, but I think it's a the very least worth a rent and see how it goes.
English voices are as lifeless as a zombie, so theres always the option of Japanese voices :woop:

Good game, and worth the $10 at Gamestop

It's a decent RPG for its price but there definitely are better RPG's out there. If you've played most of the other RPGs on the console then I'd recommend buying it, or buying FF XIII or Resonance of Fate :P

Well I've had the game ever since it came out, and I loved it. Yes there are plenty of other RPG's out there that are better then it, but it's worth it, I found it a great.

i just started playing this game.. at first i didnt think it was worth the money but once you get into the game a little ways and understand wat ur doin its not to bad

Complete and utter ass. You follow the guide and progress and you're so underleveled it's not even funny. And you go into battle and half their skills don't work. The auto fight is even more worthless than doing it yourself because all they do is put up barriers and don't even bother attacking. This game is worse than blue dragon in my opinion.

story is good but the fact you can play with monsters in your party makes it a little different. best rpgs last remnant and lost odyssey.

Ive 100% this game twice, its a little bit childish but not more than most other rpgs out there. Story is really good, and fighting system is awsome. Tons of diffrent types of monsters to choose from. Only downside is the last boss, not much tactic to be used there, so you have to farm the casino and upgrade your chosen characters alot. Pretty easy to get unlimited cash from the casino since you can save and reload if it doesn't go the way you planned.

I like it. I got it for 9 bucks and only have three achievements left to get, 92% with the game so far. I use autobattle 95% of the time. I just don't put any support style moves or else they keep doing them like idiots.
I love the achievements for it also and how I can save anywhere. I haven't had any problems with battles yet and didn't even go to the casino.

It's a fun game, especially if you like the old turn based play of old school FF's. It's nothing spectacular, but a good playthrough and an easy 1k pts.

Worth $60? No. Worth the $7 I paid for it? Yes.

I just bought it, too... There are a lot of games I haven't played as much as this one, so it's really worth a few $...

Story is kinda fun, plus it's my first turn based rpg for the 360 so I will definitely go for 1000/1000 ^^

Well, I just took the plunge on it myself and ordered it off eBay... not seeing great things here, but I suppose worst case, I spent less on it than I did on my lunch yesterday! :p

It's a pretty cheap game and I guess worth the $8 I paid for it, doubt I'll ever play it a second time though

I enjoyed it for the most part. It had some extremely bad voice acting and terrible dialogue, but the storyline was pretty good and it was fairly challenging. Definitely worth the 5 bucks I paid to get a used copy.

To update, only played just a little bit so far, but just that was worth the few bucks I spent on it for the laughs! :p I'm loving it in looking at it almost as a parody RPG-- like the game developers knew about the videogamerecaps site, and said "Well, let's give 'em some REAL fodder!"

The battle mechanics strike me as similar to games like Radiant Historia and Lunar, map has a bit of a FF X feel to it, character art makes me think a lot of Xenosaga.

It's a decent RPG and was really the only JRPG on the Xbox at the time at I was playing it back then. I think it hold ups after being release years ago.

Theres a limited edition? What do you get extra?

Edit: Searched it, but aparently the limited edition was an american only release and came with a bonus mini manga. Was the manga before, after or during the games story? was there any Atsuma x Karin in it?

While I would love to answer you questions, I have no clue. I sold the game on Ebay. I do know the magazine read back to front which i thought was weird.

"Spoiler Alert"

48 page limited edition graphic novel. Back to front like Shonen Jump. Atsuma, Toya, and Makoto are in enchanting school. No Karen, Raigar,or Yuki.
Story starts where a younger girl asks her dad how her toy "dog" (Thats a golem) is able to move and he explains how its a golem. Her father passes away and she goes to enchanting school with the guys. Eventually she leaves to go to enchanting school in Londonstan and asks the guys to visit with Atsumas dog(that doesn't survive the first story. I think its like a pre-story manga. I hope I don't give away anything to the story as this is my first post. Thanks all!

OT: The combat system is what drove me to complete this game. Very addicting.

It definitely doesn't compare to something like Final Fantasy 7 (still one of my all time favorites). The story is OK and the mechanics were mostly enjoyable... but I definitely lost interest in this game about half way through... and that was before I starting level grinding.

I certainly won't play this again (no replay value), and would not plan to get a sequel if one came out... so I wouldn't recommend buying this game. Of course, that's just my opinion... I am sure that there are plenty of people who loved it.

its'a good game that doesn't take its self to seriously takes a while to get going though

I just picked this up the other day for $2.99. I remember being excited for this back before the 360 was released, but it dropped off the chart as a launch title and my focus shifted elsewhere. Now that I have it, though, I find myself enjoying it. I'm not typically a fan of JRPGs, but my picky nature sometimes overlooks that and I find some that I enjoy (Pokemon, Chrono Trigger, etc...) The grid-based combat system is unique and adds an extra layer of depth to the outdated turn-based combat that JRPGs pride themselves in. The storyline is fairly interesting so far even though I'm still pretty early into the game. Most of the models are decent, but the environments are really impressive for such an old game. Than It's bad voice acting, cheesy characters, and early generation design flaws actually add to the experience for me. My only complaint is the crappy soundtrack and the slowness of your character when he runs. Really feel like there should've been a sprint button or something.

It's ok, I kinda like the idea of collecting monsters, especially gatling gun loli, but there's plenty of better RPGs on the X360 you could play, like Lost Oddesy and Infinite Undiscovery.

It's an easy 1000 since it's all story based.
