It has been reported that a group of players are 'hacking' the 1vs100 game system. Read below

Hackers have dampened the spirits of gamers playing the new Microsoft game, 1 vs 100 on Xbox Live.

Details of the problems emerged after a series of players with 'Defensive' at the beginning of there name began to infiltrate the system including being 'The One' four times over.

Some of these have little or no Gamerscore, throwing into doubt the legitimacy of the players. The video below from Youtube was taken by a gamer playing on Saturday night. He was sent a voice message from the 'hacker':

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQnG9OBO2t8&eurl=http://www.consolemonster.com/newspost.php%3Fid%3D0000005824&feature=player_embedded

In the video the hacker known as 'Danny' from Doncaster says:

"It's cause me and my mates are hackers. We like, you know, how to fix it. So erm if you ever see anyone with Defensive before there name then it is my or one of my mates. We've been The One and in the Mob, four times as The One."

Players can only become The One, once per season of shows to give a fair chance for all gamers. The news has thrown open flaws with the programme which is still in Beta.

Microsoft have yet to comment on any aspect of 1 vs 100, but we're sure that we'll need some answers quickly to eradicate the cheats from what is otherwise a decent family fun title.

Well, since the game deals with virtual money, can't they get charged or something similar?

I noticed this yesterday, 3 or 4 games in a row a guy with 0G got to be the One, not the same guy but they still had 0G

I quit, its annoying never getting in the mob/one

I don't even see a point in playing 1vs 100.

Because its fun? I personally find it quite entertaining even if I never win anything/don't get achievements. Why play COD4 online? You don't win anything or get achievements. People do it for stats and for fun. Same with 1vs100.
(Just to note, I do play COD4 online :))

According to the comments they have a 'secret' which is within the rules and they can easily get into the mob.

I dont find it really fun either but getting stuff for free makes up for it, you cant argue with winning 16 bucks worth of stuff for answering trivia at home

They have to get rid of these hacks. That's probably why it has been in beta for so long. For me, it gets kinda boring because I have Earthlink dsl, which works like shit. I press the buttons as soon as I can, but because of the lag, I never get anywhere near the top score. That doesn't seem fair...

The Beta was always planned to be this long. It was supposed to be 1 Season (8 weeks I think), and that season isn't over yet. The fact the Beta is this long has nothing to do with any problems they have faced.

Same here, after 2 weeks SOLID play, (To 'Increase my Chances' as they say), & watching a friend get in the Mob two days straight, I had enough of never being jack sh*t but the Crowd & deleted it all off my HDD.... Lame! :(

Well, since the game deals with virtual money, can't they get charged or something similar?

Since 1vs100 is a virtual game show that awards prizes, if they manipulate the outcome, they are committing fraud.

Damn hackers. My guess,, 40 year olds who live with their mom who can't stand losing.

Do you have to be 18 to win prizes?

Great means I have to wait a full year to be able to win prizes (just turned 17 1 month ago). Will still play it anyways.

They are not old, that's the thing. The guy on the video sounded about 15.

Since they're so skilled they probably have a Microsoft points key generator and will get it for free anyway. So, yeah.

Couldn't care less, I'm still not touching this pile of shit.

Tried it once, realised after the first question I don't have any general knowledge. Went back to the dash, deleted the files.

Same story for Trivial Pursuit, Scene It, and all other quiz type games. :)

Wouldn't make any difference since it obviously isn't their main accounts. They have little or no gamerscore on them (every single one), so a ban would do nothing. They would just make another, free months trial, bingo.

Unless they get IP banned, but I don't even know if thats possible.

If they can manipulate the system for 1vs100 though, most likely they can manipulate their IP in some way or another.
EDIT: They should just ban their Xbox's and be done with it :)

exactly why i stopped playing it, thought something was fishy when people with 0g was getting in or people with less then 2000g, i have someone whos had a live account for over 2 years and only has 3000g but anything under 2000g is very fishy to me

until the hackers are sorted out i for 1 aint playing, takes all the fun and winning the prizes out of it, never been the 1 or the mob and i do pretty well so gets annoying playing and not having a chance because of fuctard hackers
