Mission 1: Foxtrot 813: Destroy all of the helicopters.

There are three helicopters during the first mission that you need to destroy to unlock this achievement. I recommend that you stay in the Power Armor and play on easy in order to blow them up. Just shoot your machine guns and missiles (if you can get it on them) and the achievement will unlock as soon as you blow up the third one. You have plenty of time to destroy them, just start shooting it when you first spot it and you'll blow it up without any problems. If you miss one, just reload your save.

1. Shortly after beginning, it comes from the right side.
2. After going through two door ways, turn left, the chopper will appear from the right and go behind the building, use the red threat square to follow it and blow it up as it comes into view.
3. After falling down the first shaft, continue through another doorway, until you hear the commander say that the enemies are retreating to the lower levels. Go out in the open and the helicopter should be above you.

Mission 1: Foxtrot 813: Complete the level on foot without an EPA.

You need to complete the first mission without using the power armor you start in. Once the mission starts, exit the armor and walk through the fallen brick wall, and finish the mission without using the armor. I recommend that you do this on easy, as most of the cover is destroyable and there are plenty of guys with missile launchers who can really mess up your day.

Just like hard, take it slow and use cover.

The achievement unlocks after going across the fallen red radio tower that's in two pieces. After you'll here radio chatter stating that they have spotted you (Foxtrot).

Mission 2: Contact: Escape the Replica Forces without killing any Heavy Armor.

After you fall down the elevator shaft and get caught during your 'rouge mission' 'you'll keep killing enemies and eventually fall down some boxes onto a constructed floor below with small hallways made of wooden boards. Two Heavy Armor enemies (guys with the Hammerhead/Penetrator) will emerge and begin shooting at you. Fall back and wait for them to bust a few holes in the wall, then proceed as fast as you can down a floor and onto the side of a building.

Once you fall through the window, the achievement will unlock, as long as you did not kill any of the guys following you.

I recommend playing on easy as you use health packs automatically and can concentrate on escaping.

Crank up 'Miniature Replica Soldier' theme song.

This achievement is earned in mission two, after falling into the building after escaping Replica forces. Proceed down the the building until you hear the man say "I will show you the way" keep going over two closed doors and notice a TV in the background. Jump across the three couches and hold X to turn up the volume. Then rock out until your fun is ended by the tremor, unlocking the achievement.

Mission 3: Influence: Close all of the sewer hatches.

After going into the sewers you will see big rusty looking hatches where infected enemies will come out. There are nine of these, five in the main room where you first encounter them, and four in the cylindrical room shortly after it. Simply go up to every one that is open and press X to pull the level and close them up. (There will be a green light if it is still open).

Mission 3: Influence: Kill an enemy with an exploding vehicle.

Once you exit the sewers, (the man laughs and says "It is almost time.") jump down and turn left, you should see your first glimpse of outside for a while, with some soldiers who begin to shoot at you. Shoot the car straight ahead, until it catches fire. Wait a few seconds and then, boom.

Mission 4: Rebirth: Destroy a Powered Armor unit in under thirty seconds.

Shortly after beginning Mission 4, continue until you see a dead soldier in the middle of a chain gate (an automatic shotgun should be near his body). Continue on killing the four stealth soldiers that hang on the scaffolding above. Now prepare, this is where the armor comes up.

Once you walk down the stairs (escalator), the armor flies in and the clock starts. Once at the bottom of the stairs, make a sharp left turn and run to the lit area (a stealth soldier may pop up while doing this). Once you arrive, you'll see a Missile launcher laying on the floor. Don't hesitate, immediately pick it up and begin pelting the armor with all five rockets, then pull out your next best gun (I used the Hammerhead I previously picked up) and shoot it until its dead. If you mess up, you can easily pause and reload the last save, and try again.

Mission 4: Rebirth: Kill all fast-ropers before they hit the ground.

Once you get past the first power armor, you will eventually end up in a big fight with seven enemies and another power armor (there's a car to the left you can shoot to take out the armor, or the rocket launcher ahead of it). After you have finished destroying every one. Walk up to where the Missile Launcher was/is laying. Turn 90 degrees to the right and you should see a collapsed building hanging over the path way. When you proceed a few steps in that direction, four more soldiers will zip down the top of it. Get your slow-mo ready and move forward. After the first two you have a very limited time to reload if necessary.

After all four are dead, and none of them touch the ground, the achievement is yours.

Please note: If you haven't finished the original campaign, your slow-mo will have less time. If this is the case, try shooting the first two guys with slow-mo on then turn it off until guy number three beings his decent, by then you should be out, so just kill the fourth one by aiming and shooting like any other game.

Complete the 'Reborn' campaign.

This is a pretty self-explanatory achievement. All you need to do is finish the Reborn campaign. Which is really short, only around an hour to two hours long.

That's it! If there's anything I left out, please let me know. Thanks.

It's ok man I am always beat by someone but it is a good guide I like the videos since I am a more visual learner. I know I lost fair and square and I am not going to be a dick and say my guide is better than yours because I would be lying.

Sorry :( I didn't mean to steal your thunder. I was looking forward to writing a guide to this for a long time. Now I feel bad.

I have this curse that x360a tends to dislike my guides overall so, I dunno.

- Added a link to my review of the DLC.
- Added a link to A 2rue boofer's awesome 1000 point guide.
- Added a link to the Youtube playlist.
- Added a banner I whipped up cause I was bored.
- Fixed some errors. :D
- Replaced the gamerscore icon with my own.
- Changed MSP with the image.

Anything else I could possibly add?

Please remember that for Dead Weight, you should use the weapon that you are best suited with. I've been getting quite a few Youtube messages asking how to do it.

Geez Ialmost feel bad asking now but I gotta. I watched the roper vid and I can't do it. My slo mo runs out about the time the second group drops. I noticed in your vid that you have alot more slo mo than I do. Is there reflex boosters kickin around or is that all from the regular campaign (which I deleted the save of)?

09-09-2009, 10:39 AM
I had all of the reflex boosters from the campaign. However, when I tried again without any booster (on a different account) I was still able to do it. I used slow-mo on the first and second. Then turned it off right after the second guy, just in time to use the last bit on the third. The fourth had to be shot without anything.

Adding a little tidbit to the guide to prevent further confusion on that issue.

This DLC looks fun, the achievements seem a bit more fun to complete. I'm a big F.E.A.R. fan so I guess I should get this.

09-14-2009, 06:38 PM
I would highly recommend it. Although short it is very fun.
