Find Futo.
You will find Futo in the first chapter. This one is story related.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/vb/h5/1YCLiGJhbC9FFQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wLzEAAAAA5+fn+la4pg %20==.jpgOff You Go - 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Completed basic training.
This achievement is story related and you will get it shortly after finding Futo. Most of the basic training involves using Hiro, but there is a small part where you have to use Futo as well.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/x0/jB/14CLiGJhbC8xFQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wL0UAAAAA5+fn+O5I3A %20==.jpgTree Hugger - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Shake 15 trees.
Just simply walk up to any tree with fruit in it, the bushes won't count, and keep pressing the :abut: button to shake the tree. Do this 15 times and the achievement unlocks.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/KL/we/0ICLiGJhbC8xCxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzFFAAAAAOfn5-8xvDQ=.jpgBear With Me - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Defeat 10 enemies as the bear.
In the 2nd chapter of the game (Leaving Home) you will see a cut scene where the samurais are putting a bear into a cage. Simply use Hiro's spirit form kuji magic (select the spell with :rbbut: and then hit :rtbut: to use the spell) and take control of the bear. Just use the bear and attack (the :xbut: button) 10 samurais with it. There are more than enough samurai to kill between the area with the bear and the end of the level so, just keep killing samurai with the bear until you get the achievement. If you get hit and you lose control of the bear, just simply hit :rtbut: again and take control of the bear again.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/m0/m4/1oCLiGJhbC9HFQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wLzMAAAAA5+fn+ZdJgA %20==.jpgFound Suzume - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Find and free Suzume.
You get Suzume in the second level, shortly after freeing the bear. It's also story related.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/u0/T+/0YCLiGJhbC8wCxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzFEAAAAAOfn5-7RRKc=.jpgBoardom - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Defeat 10 enemies as the boar.
Just like with the bear achievement. Just simply use Hiro's spirit kuji magic and take control of the boar. Do like you did with the bear (attack using :xbut:) and the achievement will unlock after you kill 10 samurai. This can be done in the same level as the bear achievement, as the boar is in a cage next to Suzume when you free her.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/ZF/6d/14CLiGJhbC81CxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzFBAAAAAOfn5-iyXng=.jpgNo Conjurer of Cheap Tricks - 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Expend 1500 Ki using Kuji Magic.
This one will come naturally throughout the story. Just keep using your Kuji Magic (:rtbut:) and it will unlock.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Qq/9c/1ICLiGJhbC83CxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzFDAAAAAOfn5-tzr14=.jpgBig Guy - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Defeat a large one.
You first meet the large one in the Earth Castle. They can only be defeated with Futo. Simply switch to Futo (:lbbut:) and use a combo of :xbut: and :ybut: and when you see the prompt for the :abut: button, use it.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/2b/8c/0oCLiGJhbC9MFQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wLzgAAAAA5+fn-TO-wg==.jpgOff the Richter Scale - 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Defeat Boss Lumbering Fool.
This is the boss of the Earth Castle and he is simple to beat. Simply hide behind a pillar and wait for him to swing his sword. Once he does, the sword will get stuck in the pillar. At this point jump on his sword and you'll see a button match sequence begin. (:ybut:, tap :abut:,:ybut:, tap :abut:, :xbut:) Simply hit the right buttons in the right order and he'll take damage. Simply do this 3 times and he's done and the achievement unlocks.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/OF/-k/1oCLiGJhbC9DCxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzE3AAAAAOfn5-nLXyQ=.jpgPied Piper - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Incite 50 enemies to dance.
This has to be done with Suzume. Simply equip her (:lbbut:) and use her special attack (:ybut:) and stand near enemies. Just keep doing it until you make 50 of them dance and the achievement is yours. The best place to do this is the Earth Castle. Just keep track of your special attacks and get as many enemies to dance at a time as you can. + error

Flawless Great River Canyon rafting.
This one can be tricky. In the canyon level, once you get to the first set of rapids, you must steer your hat-boat clear of all the rocks and cliff ledges the entire way down thru both sets of rapids. If you hit anything, the achievement won't unlock. The way you can check if you've hit anything is by looking at the image of your hat in the upper right corner. If you hold back on the :ls:, as it will act like a brake and makes avoiding rocks much easier.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Yq/Ia/04CLiGJhbC9AFQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wLzQAAAAA5+fn-DWieQ==.jpgFound Shun - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Find and free Shun
Shun can be found near the early part of the level Distress Signal. This is also story related so you can't miss it.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/jV/bF/1ICLiGJhbC9ACxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzE0AAAAAOfn5-vqVpE=.jpgBow Before Me - 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Defeat 50 enemies with the bow.
Basically you just have to kill 50 enemies with Shun. A majority, if not all, of this can be done in the same level you get him. Once you free him, just select him (:lbbut:) and just spam arrows :xbut: on every enemy you see in the level. If you don't get 50 kills in this level, just finish the achievement in the next level.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/nb/U-/0oCLiGJhbC8yCxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzFGAAAAAOfn5-0QtYE=.jpgSilent Assas... Ninja - 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Complete a level without being seen.
Credit goes to vl Demon lv for finding this method.
Once you beat the Great Canyon level, exit out to the main menu and replay the level. All you have to do is go down the main path and jump in the water when you get to it. From there take your hat-boat over to the waterfalls, the 2nd waterfall specifically, and go up the path behind it. The path starts just to the left of the waterfall. Once you reach the top of the waterfalls, go right and you'll see a small ledge. Follow the ledges around until just before reaching a bridge, but don't get too close. Beneath you will be a body of water split into 2 parts by a bunch of rocks. When you can jump to the right side of the rocks, do so. From there, hug the right wall in your hat-boat and just go down the rapids. Once you exit the level, the achievement will unlock. It's that simple.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/pb/Mj/1ICLiGJhbC9NCxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzE5AAAAAOfn5-sMs7k=.jpgDon't Blame it on the Sunshine - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Bring Sunshine to all the Denizens of the Graveyard
Once you get into the graveyard (Haunted Forest chapter) you'll encounter ghosts. They can only be killed using the Sunrays spell, which you get in the graveyard. Find the shrine, use your detect kuji magic spell to find it, and get the Sunrays spell. Once you get it, you MUST kill all the ghosts with the spell. Once you kill the last ghost, the achievement unlocks.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/0V/e8/1YCLiGJhbC82CxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzFCAAAAAOfn5-qTV80=.jpgNow You See Me... - 40http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Defeat 100 enemies using stealth attack.
You should get this one before you finish the game. To do a stealth attack, simply hide in a bush, grass, or behind a tree or rock and hit :ltbut:. Once enemies are well enough within range, walk up behind them and hit :xbut:. It is possible to kill multiple enemies with one stealth attack so if you get the chance to do it, take it. It doesn't matter what character you use either.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Sk/f8/04CLiGJhbC9NFQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wLzkAAAAA5+fn-NNHUQ==.jpgSmell You Later - 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Defeat boss Windy Pants.
This is the boss of the Wind Castle and he uses farts as attacks. He takes 3 sets of attacks to beat. He doesn't move and only has 3 attacks. Basically just wait for him to let out a fart cloud and have it chase you back towards him. From there it would go as follows (:ybut:, tap :abut:, :ybut:, tap :abut:, :xbut:). Repeat this 3 times and he's toast. Just watch out for his charged fart attack as the only way to avoid it is to jump at just the right time. You'll know it's coming when he starts to strain loudly.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/RF/Pb/0ICLiGJhbC9CFQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wLzYAAAAA5+fn--RTXw==.jpgFound Tora - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Find and free Tora.
Tora can be found in the Grassy Hills chapter. This is also story related.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/i6/pC/0ICLiGJhbC81FQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wL0EAAAAA5+fn-22qkA==.jpgTripped and Fell - 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Defeat Boss Timid Swimmer.
This boss is also very easy. There are 3 red pillars that you have to get him to cut down. The first is in the back when you start. Run up the stairs and hide behind it and he'll cut it down. From there you use the button match sequence yet again. (:ybut:, tap :abut:, :ybut:, :ybut:, :ybut:, :ybut:, :xbut:) From there, go right to the 2nd red pillar. Use the sequence (:ybut:, tap :abut:, :ybut:, :ybut:, tap :abut:, :ybut:, :ybut:, :xbut:). Then go left to the last red pillar and the final sequence is as follows (:ybut:, tap :abut:, :ybut:, :ybut:, :ybut:, :ybut:, :ybut:, :ybut:, :xbut:).

Complete all Wandering Tengu quests.
There are a total of 5 Tengu that need help, and they are listed by chapter name and what you need to do for them.
1) Leaving Home-Tengu in the village: Destroy all samurai on other side of the bridge. Just kill all the samurai across the bridge and that's it. There are a total of 13 that need to be killed.
2) Leaving Home-Tengu near the Temple: He wants a Burdock Flower. The Burdock Flower is right up the stairs near the temple, behind a few statues.
3) Haunted Forest-Tengu in the woods to the left of the main path from start: He wants a Spear of Ashida. You should have 1 to spare so just hand it over to him.
4) Flooded Valley-Tengu near the start of the level: He just wants you to go to the temple and check on the Tengu there. Once you return, he gives you the sturdy rod, which will get the Koi to drag you into the next area.
5) Winter Range-Tengu by the split in the path near the start: He just wants a Tiger Lilly. Just hand one over and you're done. The achievement unlocks right after doing this.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/q6/cE/14CLiGJhbC9CCxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzE2AAAAAOfn5-grp7c=.jpgEat My Dust - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Travel far in full gallop.
This one seems to confuse a lot of people. You have to use Tora and you have to do 1 of 2 things. Either use 20 of his special attacks (:ybut:), or kill 20-30 samurais using the special attack. It will unlock at some point while attempting this.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/8V/r6/0oCLiGJhbC9BFQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wLzUAAAAA5+fn-dVa6g==.jpgFound Kunoichi - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg

Retrieve all five missing ninja.
Simply find all 5 ninjas and this will unlock. It should unlock right after you rescue Kunoichi.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Nk/vD/1YCLiGJhbC9MCxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzE4AAAAAOfn5-rsSyo=.jpgPoker - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Defeat 30 spearmen with the spear.
Simply kill 30 spearmen with Kunoichi. Easiest way to do it, is just select her (:lbbut:) anytime you come close to a spearmen and just defeat them.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/ck/Hg/1YCLiGJhbC8yFQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wL0YAAAAA5+fn+s9BaQ ==.jpgSage of Philosophy - 50http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Reach level cap.
There are a total of 15 levels you can earn. You should get this one before beating the game. You get experience for killing enemies and freeing animals.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Pq/Nj/0oCLiGJhbC82FQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wL0IAAAAA5+fn-UyjJQ==.jpgCrash Landing - 30http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Defeat Boss Screeching Owl.
This guy is fairly easy. Just wait for him to be down on the roof and run up to him and enjoy yet another button relay sequence. (:ybut:, tap :abut:,:ybut: , :xbut:). Repeat this once more and he'll perch himself on the very top of the roof. Just run up top and hit the final sequence. (:ybut:, tap :abut:, :ybut:, tap :abut:,:xbut: , :xbut:, :ybut:, :xbut:)

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/wb/RG/04CLiGJhbC9ECxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzEwAAAAAOfn5-xptN0=.jpgAvalanche - 10http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Defeat an enemy as a snowball.
This one can be tricky. In the level after you defeat the Screeching Owl, you'll start off by racing down a mountain to avoid an avalanche. At one point you'll hit a jump and there will be a platform in the middle. The best way to do this is hit the jump full speed (:bbut: to boost) and hit the platform in the middle and immediately veer off to the right. Then quickly try to hit a tree or rock to turn into a snowball. From there just roll over an enemy and it unlocks. If you don't get it right away, just let the avalanche get you and try again. (Thanks to here2infirmary for correcting this.)

Temple 3-Grassy Hills (Chapter 8) When you see the split at the 2nd burning tree, go right and you'll eventually see the temple on your right.
Temple 4-Flooded Valley (Chapter 9) it's on the far right of where you start. You must go there by way of your hat-boat.
Temple 5-Winter Range (Chapter 11) Just after you free Kunoichi, you'll see the temple entrance right around the corner.
Temple 6-Volcano's Shadow (Chapter 14) once you reach the frozen waterfall, you'll see the temple entrance to the right of it. The achievement should unlock as you are walking up the steps.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Hq/4l/1YCLiGJhbC9BCxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzE1AAAAAOfn5-oKrgI=.jpgStop! Futo Time! - 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Use Futo in combat on all levels.
Simply use Futo once per level. All you have to do is select him (:lbbut:) and fight and kill just 1 enemy per level with him. That's all it takes. The only exception is boss fights.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/rV/uD/04CLiGJhbC83FQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wL0MAAAAA5+fn-Kxbtg==.jpgRestore Balance - 40http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpg
Defeat the Evil Samurai Warlord.
This guy is a pain in the ass, mainly because many purple energy balls that act as a shield protect him. The best way to beat him is to spam him with meteor storm. Be sure to kill his minions for a Ki boost when you are running low. After you've killed so many of his orbs, he'll come at you with a blue rain-like attack and he will follow you. This is easy to avoid. Just keep running (:bbut: ). Then when he lands again spam him with more meteor storm spells. After you've destroyed most of his orbs he'll really come at you, but this time with lightning. The best way to avoid it is to cast the slow time spell (select it with :rbbut: and then :rtbut: to use it) and it'll slow him down giving you plenty of time to recharge and avoid this attack as it will kill you quickly. He'll eventually come out of the spell and get a few good hits on you regardless, just be ready to heal ASAP. When he lands, finish him off with meteor storm and he's done.

Sorry for the delay folks. Word of advice though. If you ever make a guide for this site, DON'T do it on a desktop. That or email yourself the work. Having your desktop crash on you sucks ass. What sucks more is having to shell out $500 plus for a laptop and a wireless mouse. So again, sorry for the delay and good luck.

Anyway I was thinking of getting this game on Friday, how would you rate the game play overall? Worth buying?

Anyway I was thinking of getting this game on Friday, how would you rate the game play overall? Worth buying? It's a judgement call on you really. I had fun with it and I'm a huge ninja mark so I bought it. Granted you can get everything in 1 playthrough, the choice is really yours. I also got the game a week earlier than everyone else so I had a slight edge on everyone else. Rent or buy, it's your call. The game play itself is pretty good. The only thing that may annoy you, is the camera at times, but everything else is fairly smooth and simple to do.

great looking guide! im leaving in about 20 minutes to go pick up the game :)
quick question, are there avatar awards for this game? wouldnt it be awesome to have a mini nija costume? That would be awesome, but unfortunately, there are not any avatar awards for this game. Just 35 achievements and 2 unlockable gamerpics.

i had do all the quest for the 5 tengu but the achievement dont unlovk for me, know why? Hmmm. It unlocked for me at the last guy when I handed him the Tiger Lilly. Did you talk to them all after doing their quests? Or maybe you have to talk to all the Tengus? I talked to every Tengu, but only those 5 had quests for me. The other 2 or 3 I talked to just spouted stuff about Good Luck Ninja or I miss my Tengu brothers. That's odd.

Ermac, Excellent Guide

Very Clean, and easy to Read/Understand, this should be a definite sticky...

However I would suggest changing the difficulty scale down to a 4 or at most a 4.5, and the time to 1K down form 10-15 to 6-8 hours.

I currently have the 1K and did it in two 3.5 hour gaming sessions.

ALSO GREAT guide on the Collectables, those things are so damn small the GUIDE is a must. An animal guide would also be helpful at some point but IMO isn’t exactly needed, they are all large enough to see, and not very well hidden, in fact most aren’t hidden at all.

Once again great guide, thanks for making this fun kids game even easier.

Ohh yea…One last thing, those who are contemplating on whether or not to play on hard from the get go, FOR SURE PLAY ON HARD, THE 1K IS VERY EASY TO GET, AND EVEN EASIER TO GET IN ONE PLAYTHROUGH…And to top it off HARD MODE ISNT HARD AT ALL, once you get the hang of the games mechanics it’s an entertaining joke of a 1K…

Very great guide and it is greatly appreciated that you made it. I am having a slight problem with one of the Jizo Statues though.

Jizo statue (8/8): Once you get to the part with the large steps with archers all over it, go up the hill and when you can walk on the ledge to the right, do so. Take a left at the end and follow the ledge a good ways and you will come to an opening on your left. The Jizo statue is in there

The archer area, are you referring to the area where it's a bunch of stairs and at the bottom it's cut off by a wall and some windows. I've been around that area and had no luck of finding it and I've traveled towards the bridge just before the mission exits. Is it in between those two areas? If so, I am having problems finding it.

Thanks

I had major problems with that statue as well but I finally got it. Go up the stairs with all the archers till you reach the top. Jump on the ledge to your right, turn around and follow it all the way to a lantern bridge. Cross it and follow the path until you see an opening to your left. The statue is in there.

Hope that helps

Free all caged animals.
The location of all the caged animals can be found on the list I'm working on now, and it should be posted by tomorrow evening.For the caged animals, I can confirm that any level replay will delete your stats, even if you already had all the animals on that level.

I played the canyon level and find all animals, re-played the level to get the silent ninja achievement and then finish the game and I was sure that I had every animal but no achievement.

After a little time, I though it could be a reset on the canyon level (the only level I have replayed, I found everything on the 1st go on all the others mission).

So I've just replayed it now and the achievement unlocked.

You should had to the guide not to replay any mission until the end.

And really great guide, helped me a lot to 1k the game :)

You do not need to start a new game. Just go in to the options on the main menu and change the difficulty to hard and play through every chapter. You can change it at any point in the game, so you can do the rest on hard and just go back and to the other chapters you did on normal on hard.

I played the demo on hard, everything was easy, I died about 3 or 4 times but I finished it after I got hang of controls.
I'm just asking for the bosses, because the bosses in Kameo (Which is a little similar to this game) were a pain in ass for me. At least this game has better controls than Kameo.
So are the bosses anything that you may have to restart like 5 or 6 time over and over again ?
Sorry for my "Asking too much questions" kind of behavior, I just want to 1K this game, as LEGO Batman glitched on me :(

The following glitches will force you to delete your game and start over from the beginning so be warned before you begin. This game has OCD written all over it. All these were confirmed by myself after painstakingly trying everything I could to correct the issue, any one who says otherwise is just wasting your time.

DELETE YOUR GAME AND START A 2ND PLAY THROUGH ON EASY IF ANY OF THESE GLITCH:

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Tn/WV/0oCLiGJhbC9GCBoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzIyAAAAAOfn5-26dVI=.jpgTengu Friend - 40http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

a) If you miss any of the Tengu or can't fulfill their request on your first run through any level the game will glitch and you will never be able to get the achievement. Make sure if you start a level with a Tengu that you NEVER quit out, you MUST finish the level AND complete the Tengu quest in the same run.

b) If you replay any mission with a Tengu quest to go back and do something else you missed, (Example: Jizo Statues, Grinding out bow/spear/etc... kills)the game will glitch and will permanently wipe your Tengu quests to 0/5. Re-doing the Tengu quest will not count either as replaying the mission has already glitched your save.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Hq/4l/1YCLiGJhbC9BCxoDG1tTVkU0L2FjaC8wLzE1AAAAAOfn5-oKrgI=.jpgStop! Futo Time! - 20http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Replaying a mission will wipe out the games memory of you using Futo on that stage and glitch your achievement. Boss fights don't count as you can only use the main character.

I've tried replaying all the levels using Futo from start to finish and the game will NOT give me the achievement. You must delete your save file and start over again making sure to carefully use him to kill at least 1 enemy on each stage and never replay a past stage.

http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/VL/Ah/1oCLiGJhbC8wFQUcXFBRGEU0L2FjaC8wL0QAAAAA5+fn+Q6wTw ==.jpgAnimal Friend - 100http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/../images/site/gp-g.jpg

Again, replaying any stage will wipe out the games memory of you ever having collected all the animals on said stage. I never bothered to go back and collect all the animals on the same play through (by replaying stages) because I figured if I already have two glitched achievements I might as well just add this one to the collection of a 2nd play through.

BE WARNED! DON'T REPLAY LEVELS otherwise you have to erase your hard earned data and start over again.

Now with the Tengu glitch. Can I still get it by going through on Hard mode? Or am I going to have to delete the whole game?

NeoRizer
09-30-2009, 09:49 PM
Alright, after 4 hours from my previous post I just power rushed the entire game. I skipped 40% of the fights in the game by just running past them.

I focused on:

A) Fulfilling the Tengu quests.

B) Using Futo to kill at least 1 enemy per stage.

C) Collected all the animals again.

I moved my save file to a memory card, started the game over on easy and did this all in one sitting. I took 15 minute breaks every couple hours so I wouldn't burn out and all achievements unlocked properly.

A) Tengu quest unlocked RIGHT after I gave the 5th Tengu the Tiger Lily.

B) Futo Achievement unlocked. Here's a surprise, it unlocked in the final level (Living Castle) as I HIT the first enemy of the stage...yeah, didn't even have to kill him, just knocked him with my hammer. So yeah, this achievement is pretty sensitive in a good way...too bad if you replay a stage it ****'s it up.

C) 100G's unlocked just after I hit the final cage for the 2nd time and set free the final animal in the Living Castle. (No need to even kill the final boss)

As a precautionary I collected most of the spirit scrolls again, such as Meteor Shower, Light Rays and Slow Time...3 must have scrolls. I figured I'd have to fight the final boss again but didn't.

So there you have it.

If you're stressing out because of the glitches, just power through the game again. I wouldn't even back out and quit...just do it all in one sitting to make sure you never have to play this blasted game again.

It took me about an hour and a half to get the Tengu achievement so if that's the only one your missing I would suggest just moving/deleting your save game and start the game over fresh on Easy mode.

I don't think switching the difficulty is gonna help a glitch man....I would play it safe and move or delete your save file...as long as you have the achievements who cares about the data.

I just finished the game. I did not get Stop Futo Time. I went back and replayed the level I thought I missed. I got Futo out and broke a pot and the cheevo popped. I also replayed the canyon level right after I beat it and didn't use Futo the second time around and it still counted him. Not saying anyone above me is wrong, but I am wondering if it was patched.

The guide/description for Eat My Dust isn't right - it is purely the distance travelled while using Tora's special Y button move. You don't have to use it 20 times or kill a single enemy with it. Best thing to do is just get into an open area and run in a straight line or a circle till your kii bar wears out and it runs out, then repeat till it unlocks.
Should only take maybe 4 or 5 full uses.

THIS SHIT NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO THE GUIDE!!!!

If this info was in the guide, I wouldn't have to do another run through like I have to do now. ON your stats, you say "No missable Achieve", Well, I missed these because of a known glitch that's lacking from your guide. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP so other people don't have the same problem. That is guide writing 101.

Sorry to sound like an ass, But I'm seriously pissed right now that I have to spend another 4-5 hours on this game when I have to bring it back tomorrow morning. Just fix the guide please.

Otherwise, nice job.

*edit* - ok, just noticed the OP has been banned, so that explains the lack of updating...contacted a mod to see if we can fix this.

Now the Tree Shaking achievement, that's 15 Separate trees with fruit right?

I think so, I tried shaking one tree and it didn't work..lol

Also, do you have to shake ALL of the fruit off the tree for it to work?

I can't understand why everyone is so excited about this piece of shit guide. The author knows there are glitches (see this (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=179472) thread), but seems reluctant to update the guide with what NeoRizer found (see below). The Jizo Statue guide is great, so Ermac obviously knows what he is doing, but the achievement guide itself is not really helping the way it is supposed to. I hope Ermac will edit the guide so that it fits the standard and serves the community the way we are used to here at x360a.

EDIT:

Sorry about the 'piece of shit' comment, I was kinda agitated at the time for having to play the entire game all over again. The guide is good, but it has obvious flaws. I just hope that future readers (at least until it is fixed) reads the entire thread before playing, unlike me, who just read the guide and believed it was correct.

Very nice guide, il probs be using the guide for the jizo stats once im done beating the game, but i do have one question, if i miss some animals on a level? can i just remember the level and redo it, or will i have to go through the whole game again, because i noticed that you say it was your last achievement, and i can see why if u have to do the whole game again if you miss one.

thanks

Hey guys. I'm getting this game gameflyed to me in the next few days, and I was just taking a look at what i'm gonna be dealing with for 1000/1000.

Looks like an excellent guide, but where's the acual "roadmap?"... I see the you put the achievements in order you received them but that's not exactly helpin' with advice on a roadmap. I meen do you recommend playing the game on easy to get the hang of everything get all the collectibles in the first run and then redueing each lvl on hard for the hard ach.. Or do u rec. playin' the game startin' on hard and doin' one playthru and going back to each lvl for collectibles? would doing them on hard make the collectibles harder to collect?..

I think u get the gist of what I'm askin'? Once again looks like an excellent guide for sure! I was just curious if u had a little insite on the roadmap and how to go about the 1000/1000 from first putin' the game in.

Shake 15 trees.
Just simply walk up to any tree with fruit in it, the bushes won't count, and keep pressing the :abut: button to shake the tree. Do this 15 times and the achievement unlocks.

Sorry but this is bull...! I have shaken 5 different fruit trees way over 15 times alltogether, no achievement. Either this achievement is glitched, or you have to shake 15 different trees. Gonna try that tonight when I get home after work.

+ error

Ok, will it ever be updated? Because, the last time you've edited anything about this guide, has been in October 2009 and we're February 2010.

I start to get the feeling someone else has to redo a decent guide + roadmap, and I do hope you didn't contact the Guide Team for 'approval' of the guide, as it is way from being accurate and finished.

Been reading all the posts in this thread. Some people seem to be complaining (not everyone ; others seem to have no worries at all) about this guide never being updated, Ermac complaining about his account being hacked, people who'd contact the mods to fix this, and much bla bla bla.

So... is anyone ever going to rewrite the guide (+ add roadmap), or do you want me to do the job (and take credit for it)?

I am actually writing a new guide (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=209423) (which will take me a couple of days to finish though)

If you're eager to start already, I'd suggest reading every post in this (and other threads), especially in regards to the collectable and glitched achievements, as you want to be sure to focus on those specific achievements before anything else.

In my road map, I will explain which achievement to get on which level, and detailing the achievement itself in the actual guide. But again, people are already waiting for several months now, so a couple of days to finish mine won't hurt anyone I guess.

I have asked The Pants Party for permission to rewrite ErmacVersion1's guide, as well as compose a Road Map. He told me to go ahead, and I will do so first thing tomorrow. I would appreciate it if you guys would assist me in proofreading and (if necessary) correcting it. I'm aware that Trikke has made the layout for his guide already, but I think it'd be better to use the one already posted, as it is pretty good apart from the obvious flaws.

I don't understand... all these months and months nobody does anything about 'a guide'. And now that someone (me!) finally decided to rewrite one and already being half through, everybody suddenly feels the urge to write one?! Will we end up having 3-4 different guides like for Mass Effect 2? What is this?? Kindergarden?

So I ask myself, why didn't you do it the past months? Why "start" the day I decided to write one? Pretty lame if you ask me.

Well, about a month ago, back when I played this game, I spoke to Filter x360a about a remark he made in the original guide. He told me that he had gotten the nod from Pants to remake the guide, so I let him take care of it. However, seeing nothing happening I spoke to Pants myself the day before yesterday, and he told me to go ahead.

Had I read your latest posts here earlier, I would have told you but you had already started the guide when I read them. Like I said, feel free to write a guide - it might be awesome - but now you know that another one is to be submitted. I understand you're upset if you have already put down a lot of work in your guide, but there it is. You're actually supposed to have unlocked most of the achievements already when posting a guide anyway. Whatever you decide, good luck.

I think that would be pretty shit on Trikke, if you went and made a new Guide + Road map.

He clearly stated that he would make a new one (First), as the original one hasn't been updated since October.

I think you should wait till his Guide is finished and go from there, i have no doubts that Trikkes Guide will be nothing short of Perfect!

So.. just because Trikke said that he would write a guide, it means I can not? You are clearly mistaken about the rules on this site. Anyone can write a guide, and I'm obviously not telling him not to make one, just saying what has happened so he might spare himself the effort. I have already made the guide (and posted it today), why should I let all my work go to waste, just because Trikke is rushing to post his guide? I have done everything I could to get Ermac to fix the guide himself, Trikke only posted in this thread about his displeasure with the guide, and decided to make his own the very same day. Had he waited a little bit longer I would have read his post (#106) and told him that I had a guide going. Trikke hasn't even finished the game, something this site encourages people to do before writing guides.

I've been monitoring this forum to see if anything happened with the guide, and finally I decided to ask Pants since nothing did happen.

My guide stands, and will be submitted today. Trikke is free to do the same, and if the guide team deems his guide to be better, then it will probably be approved as the official guide. If so, at least I have tried. Don't tell me to stand down just because you think he should have monopoly on writing guides here.

Trikke

So.. just because Trikke said that he would write a guide, it means I can not? and lotsa blah blah blah

Nobody has a monopoly in writing a guide. If tomorrow 100 people to decide to write a guide, then so be it. Everybody should get a chance in writing one. It'll be to the guide team to decide if they keep just one guide or a combination of several guides.

And who's talking about rushing?? 126 days have passed since the last update by Ermac. One hundred and twenty six! That's 4 f##ing months! And just now you wake up and realize something had to be done? LMAO!
Yesterday you've noticed that I was going to write a new version, and immediately you start announcing that you will write one as well. A bit late, isn't it? So, I think YOU are rushing things.

But anyways, a little competition doesn't hurt anyone, it'll only improve a guide's quality. So... Good luck!!

Seeing as you two have decided to both submit guides for this game i had to come and check the current guide to see what has changed. I didn't expect to see a full blown argument of who thinks their guide is better than the others.

Now that you have decided to tag on an argument onto the bottom of someone else's work, which you shouldn't have done, you should have probably done the following:

1). Rather than argue who is better, take it to PMs.
2). Worked together to write a decent guide.
3). Stop the petty arguments.
4). Submit alterations or corrections

Also anyone can write a guide and re-submit it. The one thing i don't really understand is why there is such a big argument over the whole guide when only parts needed updating. Rather than fighting over something so pointless, didn't anyone think to maybe just submit the updated versions of the achievements?

I know need to get back to reading though all three guides to see what has been changed, altered, updated.

just both write one and we'll see which ones more helpful! you've both obviously put time into it.

p.s. the tengu friend being glitched This is David is incorrect. i beat the game. didn't get it. i just went back to the first lvl where i did not do the second tengu. did em and the achievement popped for me np.

also thing that would be helpful to include in the new guide/roadmap

maybe a video on the locations of the temples for sightseeing. i can't seem to find all of them for the life of me while running back threw the lvls and i'm using the description of where there located.

also i would include this trick for getting "now you see me..". i dunno about u guys but i didn't sneak up on a single person the whole game and i went back and got this achievement with this handy trick in 27 minutes.

YouTube- Mini Ninjas : Now You See Me.. Achievement

Yeah, like I wrote in the conclusion of my Road Map, I experienced the same. Just figured it would be better to let people know of the possibility for it to glitch, since other players have reported it to occur.

Thanks for the tip, I'll add the video you posted to the guide for the Now you see me.. achievement. If you stumble across a video for the Sightseeing achievement, please post that one as well :)
