It's for cheating. Also if you're paranoid or just too cheap to buy a hard drive you can archive your saved games to your pc.

If used for the right purposes, its a good way to backup your saved files on your computer. However, most people dont use it for this manner. Gonna lock this thread up before it goes in the right direction, we dont need to get into that topic..

Hey buddy, sorry about your first thread being locked and people being really rude to you. You'll get that with a few people here who don't have any respect for other people. People who don't realize the "core" system sold a lot of units, not 0. Here is what it does. People do use this to cheat gamersores. But as the saying says, guns to shoot people, people shoot people. So here is the info. We here do not suggest the saving feature to another console, but here are a LOT of other awesome things!

Transfer Kit for Xbox 360 allows you to transfer data from your Xbox 360 memory cards to your PC. By using your PC’s storage capacity to hold almost unlimited back-up ‘images’ of your Xbox 360 memory cards, you can archive and restore them at any time – you need never be short of save space again.
• Back Up…
Backing up your memory card couldn’t be simpler. Using your Transfer Kit PC application and USB dock, you can save the entire contents of your XB360 memory card to your computer’s hard drive as an ‘image’ file. Each image file automatically logs the time and date of backup, and you can add your own descriptions and file names, so you always know what’s where.
• Restore…
It’s just as simple to restore an image file to your memory card too. Again using the PC application, just click on the ‘Hard Drive’ blade and you’re shown a list of backed-up memory card images, replete with the date and time at which they were saved and the name and description entered when you backed up. Just plug in your USB dock and an XB360 memory card, and you can restore the image file to the card and use the saves in your console once more.

Features
• Transfer saves, downloads, user data and more.
• Share themes and gamer pics with other users all over the world.
• Includes media manager PC app to help organise your backed-up files.
• Easy to use.
• You need never run out of memory card space again

So there you have it. Just because you have a Core System possibly, use memory cards and whatnot, does not mean you are cheap. They built the Core system to let people customize in what they wanted to do. If you don't want a hard drive , you don't have to have it. I suppose some of these people just don't understand. I do think it's cool to be able to download gamer pics and themes to send to people and vise versa. That could save some money! You were wrongfully placed in meaning. They seem to not realize that not everyone is out to cheat. You are certainly welcome back to this site to ask more questions or gett involved with community! Sorry for the unwelcoming feeling you got, but hopefully I can make up for this. Some people just don't understand why we don't grow! But personally I do and now so do you
