View Full Version : Finally! A Flyboy's dream come true

One can't help but notice the drought of jet fighter games on consoles.  Arcades have been doing fairly well, and PCs have always had their fair share and then some.  I think there was only a single Jet game on XBox, and having played it (it sucked), I grew depressed and figured I'd have to give up on the genre.

Then I saw "World Airforce" at TGS in August and knew immediately, I had to have it.

And for those that know me well enough, for me to say that about such a rough and unpolished game is a HUGE compliment.

Over the next few months, the near photo-quality jets added amazing photo-quality backgrounds:

Then, this game seemed to drop off the radar (so to speak) and all that was mentioned was that the name changed to "Over G" since Taito didn't want people confusing it with their product they published years ago for the PS2. It's been completely dry for new media since then and all I can find is that allegedly, it launched like two days ago in Japan, where you can probably count the number of sold 360's on one hand.

Well, at least we can see the Japanese trailer. Decidedly Japanese trailer.
