Do you consider the graphics in this game to be pure art, unique and the pure embodiment of innovation? Then welcome and discuss!

If you have opinions on how the art style seems childish, unfitting and unappealing please...

keep them to yourselves.

I love the new graphics. I can tell the difference between an enemy and the ground. :D

I think the graphics are beautiful...but my opinion on the rest of the pertinent details will have to wait. I think Gearbox is a great developer, but I've seen good devs pump out trash before. There are plenty of pretty games that don't get it done in the other departments.

I am looking forward to this game though...and will definitely play it.

I really like the graphics, cel shading was perfect for this game. I didn't really like the way the graphics looked during the early stages of the game anyway. Also, this is something to help set it apart from all the other post apocalyptic games like fallout 3 and Rage.
I think cel shading is great for gaming, i really enjoyed it in PoP and Afro Samurai.

IMO, the game looks absolutely gorgeous (not a term I use liberally). Beautifully crafted landscapes and scenery are complimented by extreme character model detail.

I'm very pleased with the direction Gearbox took in changing the art style of the game from pseudo-realistic to cell-shaded. It really helps give the game character and set it apart.

Sure, there will be those that complain about the "childish" style, but just look at some recent franchises that benefited from cell-shaded graphical design: Legend of Zelda (Wind Waker), Sly Cooper on Sony platforms, etc. I for one welcome an open debate with those who believe the art style to be childish.

Haven't looked forward to a game this much in a good long while. I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

Even though the graphics look good, it's not art in the slightest form.

I'm pumped about the graphics...but I'm afraid it will be glitchy, have glitchy cheeves...lag online...have a shoddy save system, etc. There are so many issues that are common in these current gen games...it just makes me leary about getting excited. I guess Gears 2 was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.

I am excited...but cautious...

I always liked slightly more cartoony graphics. I've never once felt that it detracts from the seriousness of the game. In fact it enhances the violence for me in an awesome way. Makes it more personable.

You missed the best screenshot ever:

I think this one comes in close second:

Yep.

And @Purge. It is art considering how they used the storyboard art IN the game. The artists actually drew much of what you see in game. So art it is. :D
