Why do the trial versions of XBLA games show up as 0's on your Mygamercard? It pisses me off? Anyone?

Marketing!! The idea is that you'll hate to see the 0 there and actually buy the game to score some points.

Because you are technically downloading the full game, it just needs a code to unlock the full version.

This question has been answered a bajillion times as well. Please search in future.

Thanks :)

Yup. That's what I did w/ a few games I have. The only ones I haven't bought are Rootbeer Tapper (saving that for later this week), Marble Blast Ultra (not getting), and Smash TV (not getting).

Yeah, what some people do is just make a dummy Live: Silver account and get all their demos/trials on there.

You know, I never thought of that. I should have now that I think about it. Forever will I have 0 in Smash TV :( I hated that game, too. Marble Blast Ultra was just not my game as well. And I doubt people would be playing online so I wouldn't be able to get the achievement either.

I thought it was a great idea, so spread the word whenever someone is having an issue about the demos. It works wonders.

Microsoft knows how many gamers are very materialistic (achievementistic).

It's a great shtick though, but not to fear- gamers think outside the box!

Make a dummy account now! Fight Microsoft, man!

Some one should have put that in the Day 3 contest with an image of a bunch of 0-Gamerscore games. Heh.

I just created a Practise account which I play all the trial games on, bit of thinking resolves this issue quickly. Only right at begining did I play Crystal Quest and realised I would have to buy it as I didn't want my profile looking bad. Also my dad played Scramble trial on my profile, that's kind of pissed me off so one day I must get that.

Did you say you downloaded it on MrFranko but played it on Franko2? If that is the case, it doesnt matter where you play it, where you download it- you get a zero.

No, I always download on my JJBDude48 Gold account but play on my Practise account which isn't even connected to Xbox live. They don't show up on my JJBDude48 profile so that can't be the case.

I don't think the games that you download hosw up unless you play them...so you wouldn't even have to create a silver account. Just make an offline account and play the demos that you qownload from your gold account on it.

I have a offline profile I test arcade games and retail games on before I try them on my gold. I suggest this to anyone that wants to have a high completion % unless you plan on playing the game.
