Saw there is an XBox Retail version of Hasbro Family Game Night coming November 3, 2009.

The retail version will not include Scrabble. You can spend $40 for the disc plus $5 for Scrabble, or buy them all on Live this week for $35 total. You save $10, but don't have the option of reselling it when you're done with it to recoup some of the loss. Plus, getting them on Live takes up HDD space.

EDIT - Apparently, according to the back cover box art, Scrabble will be included.

a) I'm keeping the games, they're fun.
b) I have too much HDD space available.
c) I'm cheap.

I'm downloading them all this week.

Does anyone know if they'll have the same achievements?

Yea, they will. They're the same releases only for retail.

Kinda pisses me off in a sense...I bought all of them day damn one of their release. And yet...along comes a disc version, which I honestly would have been more comfortable with purchasing in the first damn place, at a cheaper price then what I paid flat out for.

Burn, Hasbro. Burn to the ground...And I shall dance upon thine ashes! Muahahahaha!

It would be the only way for me to get Scrabble too (besides getting an US account) ... but I'm not buying the full retail game for just that 1 little part of the game.

I think I'll join ApochWeiss in his dance of burning Hasbro death.

Well the game came out for the Wii before they were even released on the marketplace and it was only $40 so it didn't make sense to buy them each at $10 for a total of $70.

Plus for Black Friday the game will only be $20 at Best Buy so I think I'll finally get it. Pays to wait!

Anyone actually have the retail version and can confirm

A. that all the games are in it.

B. if you can play online with people who have the Arcade version?

I got it for $20 brand new. Sure beats paying like $70 or whatever for the games.

Looks like it is $19.99 on Amazon again. I have a feeling this will drop to this price point if not lower at retail pretty soon.

Anyone know if there is a way to install the retail disc to the console HDD ? Also wondering if the disc will act as a key to unlock the games if you've already downloaded the XBLA Family Game Night App ?
