Zef
People usually look for other forum members to trade achievements with, so maybe we could have some kind of system that shows which achievements a person is looking to trade/boost/attempt so others can search for anyone else with similar needs. The idea is kind of used on a completely irrelevant website (http://www.perplexcitytrades.com) to show who is willing to trade. My idea would be as follows: Each forum member fills out a form with a list of games that they own which they need achievements for. This is then followed with a list with all of the achievements for those selected games. (you could have one long list with every achievement on if it is easier to make, and seperate the achievements into each game alphabetically with different lists for Japanese, Retail and Arcade games) On the pages showing the achievements for a game, have an extra button that allows you to search for members looking for these achievements. This opens a new page where you can select which achievements from that game you want to search for. Click search and you get a list of forum members who want those achievements as well as links to their profiles so that you can send messages to them. Obviously using the forums is simpler as we already have them in place, it is just snazzier and kind of fits in with this idea (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?p=189796#post189796). Eternal Prince
How easy would it be to update the list if you buy a new game?
Zef
Just have a menu where you can update your achievements, so if you get a new game, sell one or unlock achievements you can update it so that you don't get requests for anything you already have or can't get. Same goes for adding ones that you need and are new, if the whole idea is even possible.
Eternal Prince
Cool. Good idea i think. It saves clogging up threads with people asking to boost.
JonnyC VT
Well Zef, I think this is a fantastic idea. Obviously this can be done by just going to an achievement trading thread of your choosing and post what you're missing and hope for a response. This way is more calculated and I think could yield nice results from. If you know who is going for what achievement, and it's also something you're pursuing, it would be easier than posting for help at your expense. The current system works, but it can always improve and I like the suggestion Zef!
BLOMBOMB
Well, it would have to be able to be updated on the fly.. for people like me who are rent-whores. Like just a few seconds to scroll through a menu and select what game and their achievements you need.. also, it would be nice if you could check them off after you got them so you wouldn't keep getting FRs from people trying to get the achievement you asked for 2 days ago and already got. I LOVE the idea though, and think it would be an AWESOME step for the community to have a feature like this! -B
Im a Manatee
Yes, a novel idea indeed. The only problem is amassing the code for this, unless there is a VBulletin mod for this.
Mingledon
Yes, a novel idea indeed. The only problem is amassing the code for this, unless there is a VBulletin mod for this. That's what I was going to point out. Thing is, VBulletin has a complicated coding system when it comes to things like that. It would be highly difficult to do that, and for it to be able to be "updated on the fly". In any case, if anyone could do this, it would be amazing. Curtis
Feedback system in it aswell would be good. If people have had bad experiences' with people leaving once they have there's, other people should be let known to it.
