View Full Version : Wardens Keep! (Spoilers kinda but not really)

I breezed through Wardens Keep quite easily up until the last bit with closing the viel or whatever it is... the third round of demons I'm having trouble with. I've tried 4-5 times now, each time getting better but it's becoming beyond frustrating.. I feel I shouldn't have to be using this many of my health potions to stay alive so maybe I'm too low of a level.

I'm level 9 and so is the rest of my party, two Warriors, a Mage and a Rogue. I'm hoping I'm below the recommended level though I saw somewhere that it doesn't matter about your level, if you're level 9 they will be etc... so I'm hoping that is wrong.

I'm more then happy to come back later. I just wanted the extra storage so badly.

Anyone able to give me some help that'd be much appreciated!! BTW - I'm playing PC version, apparently it's different in combat to the console; ie harder combat, might not be true though once again only something I read.

which mage? do they have healing spells, and have you given them tactics to use said spells?

what about frost/flame weapons? got that spell turned on if you have it?

also have you placed any runes into weapon slots? (doesnt cost to put in and you can take em out whenever you want)

Thankyou so much for replying! I've posted on several forums and no one has helped me!

It's Morrigan and I've been been working on her healing spells. Yes I have all the tactics sorted out, I spent some time figuring out how they worked and finally understand it all. No I have no runes set, what determines if a rune can be set into a weapon?

I'm not usig any ice magic against them or anything, what should I do? It's the ash something demon that gives me all my trouble... I could of sworn I hit them heaps and it got its health back, possible a lesser demon is restoring its health? Any suggestions or more tips would be much appreciated, thanks again!

I did this one today and I succeeded by doing a lot of Ice Damage. I concentrated on the strongest demon first, but am not sure if this was the right way to do.

Blah I didn't want to do this but I took it off hard and put it on easy. Beat them without a sweat. Hopefully this will not become a trend.

I did it at party level 10

There's was my character who is Ive being molding into a offensive magic juggernaut.

I had Alistair who Ive made as a tank my concentrating on his shield skills, he basically wades in and soaks up the damage and gets most of the aggro.

3rd slot is Wynne who is my spirit mage buff/heal bot.

4th slot is rouge forgot her name now who goes around back stabbing crit hitting everything who's paying attention to Allister.

Basically it all depends how you've set your team up and what skills you've given them, if there not specialised there going to be a bit pants all round. Also make sure your tactics screen is set up to do exactly what you want it to.

You need to take the Wardens out first as they heal the big demon.Once the waves of them are dead focus fire on the demon. You'll be there all night if you don't kill the healers first.

first, if you pause the game between each wave and the boss, you are able to save it, making trial and error a bit easier.

on the last wave, go for the two fire demons since they do more damage overtime, lighting you up, should do fine.

i did this on normal, at level 9
