The Pants Party
Alright, so from the main page of the site, you can choose to view the list of Retail Games and Live Arcade games, then from there you choose what game you need to know about. My idea is on each game's page, users can not only see the achievements, but see the score that the game as well as the achievements has received from the users of the site. We would be able to vote on the following: Game: Fun Factor, Difficulty, Graphics, Sound, Controls Achievements: Fun Factor, Difficulty, Originality You can only vote for a game once, and to vote for a game you would need to be signed in to the forums (not sure how this would carry over to the main site, but Routine seems pretty smart ), that way no one could blitz a game with a bunch of 0's or 10's. What does everyone think? Does this sounds like a viable feature? I think it would be nice, and save all the posts on the forums such as - "Is this game good?" - "Is this hard?" - "Easy achievements?" - all they would have to do is visit the game's page and see right there what everyone thinks! Zef
It has been suggested before and although I agree with the idea the argument is usually about abuse. Even with the need to be logged into the forums, someone could still make multiple accounts to demote games (however unrealistic), but if the voting was limited to a certain group of users on the forums it might work. But then there is the issue that they may all dislike a particular game anyway, whereas others may not. Maybe you could have a list of ratings that magazines and websites has given, and just quote them on it to show a rating. It isn't showing this website's view on the game, but for the moment it would show how the game is rated elsewhere. Maybe the review team need to do this? Webb
To be honest, all these things will be answered when we start to put the reviews up. And from what I've read, they're good
