Welcome to 0 Day Attack On Earth, you will either love it, or you will hate it. This game is like the love child of Contra, Megaman and R-TYPE, there is ALOT going on the screen at once, always. During the times when you have somewhat of a clear screen, your worst fear will be crashing into an enemy that has just come out of nowhere.
The game has two glitched achievements, CRUCIBLE and ONSLAUGHT, but they are glitched in your favour. Although the achievement description requires you to clear the game on the required difficulty, the game actually only requires that you clear the final stage. So make your first playthorugh on easy, then replay the final stage on normal and hard.
The online co op has a very bad connection issue which creates a severe lag, and since there is no local co op this makes things all the more frustrating. On top of that this is a very unpopular title from the arcade, which can make matchmaking very slow, I would strongly recommend using the achievement trading thread here http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=146123 to find a partner to work with.

Step 1 – Single player:
You will unlock one achievement straight away just for accessing the main menu.
Start off by playing through the game on easy, you should this opportunity to get a feel for the game and test different strategies and ships that are most effective for you. Once you have completed the game, reload the final stage as mentioned in the introduction above.
If by some chance you did not unlock the three kill achievements during your first run, simply replay the required level to get the desired kill.
Next will be the most frustrating conquest you have attempted in a long time, you will need to playthrough the entire game again, in one sitting from start to finish on at least normal difficulty, without losing a single life. The only advice I can give is make good use of the bombs by only using them when there are lots of enemies surrounding you, they refill after each stage anyway. Even though there is a time limit, take you time and try not to rush otherwise you will find yourself boosting across the screen and flying straight into a purple cloud. I have included a link in the achievement guide of a video that you may find helpful (thanks to Todaysforgotten for making and posting the video.)
The only remaining single player achievements you should now need are the two for being shot down 256 times and gaining all ranks. A very good strategy to get these both done at once is to play the final boss on hard, lose all three lives then and then finish him off. You may even get to the final rank of first lady before being shot down 256 times (thanks to STARINFLAMES21 for the tip.)

That’s it for single player, now onto step2.

Step 2-Multi player:
The three multi player achievements are actually very simple and easy to obtain, but the bad lag and the fact that not many people play this game make them difficult.
Simply host or join a co op match and you will automatically unlock one achievement.
Next, host or join a control point game and occupy all control points to unlock another achievement.
Now for your final achievement, kill 100 targets in co op mode. Green targets do not count towards the achievement it is orange targets only (thanks to Utako for bringing this to our attention in the forums.) This is easier said than done as the kill is only awarded to the player who delivered the final shot. This is best done boosting with a friend taking it in turns to host and farm the orange targets.

CONGRATULATIONS! You should now have 200:gsicon: and can add another arcade title to your 100% list.

Nice and simple, as soon as you load the game up for the first time the game will welcome you with this as soon as you enter the main menu.

Please see Onslaught.

As the description says clear the game on hard, however this is not necessary. The game actually only requires that you clear the final stage. So if you would like to save yourself a lot of time, just replay the final stage, it will take you all of three minutes.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1046/+WKFHg==.jpgSandwich Man 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgKill 10 Sandwich enemies
These are the small round enemies that split in half and try to crush you, they are located all throughout the game. Kill ten of these enemies.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1046/+0OMqw==.jpgSnake Killer 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgKill 10 Snake enemies
These are the long thin snake like enemies that you will encounter during the Paris stages. Kill ten of these enemies.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1046/+qN0OA==.jpgMosquito Killer 10 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgKill 10 Mosquito enemies
These are the small orange/yellow enemies that will stick onto you and drain your life. Kill ten of these.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1046/s2.jpgGold Hammer 30 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgCleared the game on Normal difficulty or harder without losing a life (secret achievement)
This will take alot of time, patience and practice. You need to clear the whole game, from start to finish, on at least normal,without losing a single life. Here is a video by Todaysforgotten that may be of help, (all credit and thanks goes to him for the video.)

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1046/s3.jpgMay Day King 30 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgGot shot down 256 times (secret achievement)
This is all down to your performance, if you play well it will take longer, if you play poorly it will take longer. A good place to boost this is the final stage on hard, lose all three lives and then finish off the boss.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1046/s4.jpgRuler of the Universe 50 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgEarned every rank (secret achievement)
You will need to reach the final rank of First Lady, once you get to the general ranks you will not be to far off. You rank up based on your performance both offline and online. Note that you can be demoted aswell as promoted, to avoid this keep your kills up and deaths down, although I played a game and finished with zero kills and three deaths and still received a promotion. If you are farming deaths on the final stage you may even find that you will get to First Lady before being shot down 256 times (credit and thanks to STARINFLAMES21 for the strategy.)

Multi player:

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1046/+IJ9jQ==.jpgWings of Friendship 5 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgPlay a CO-OP Mode game
Simply host or join a co op game and this will unlock once the game begins, you do not even need to finish the stage.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1046/s1.jpgLike taking candy from a baby 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgOccupied all control points in CONTROL POINT MODE (secret achievement)
Host or join a control point game and shoot all the white targets on your radar until they turn the colour of your team and the game ends. It will unlock in the post game lobby.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/1046/+YRgNg==.jpgValiant Warrior 20 http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/site/gp-g.jpgKill 100 targets in CO-OP Mode
Note that green targets do not count towards the achievement, it is orange targets only. I would recommend that you completely ignore green targets until you have the achievement, this way you can track your total kills on the leaderboard (which includes green targets.)
The kill is only awarded to the player who fires the killing shot, so this would best be boosted with a friend.

This is the first achievement guide I have written, I hope you guys like it and hope it helps.

I think what you need is knowing whether it's worth playing bad games for slight additions to your overall gamerscore or not. No one is telling you to get 200G here buddy, so just go make the best of your 360 by sticking with superb games like Assassin's Creed. :)
