Hello,

When purchasing microsoft points via credit card on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, are the taxes included in the prices? If not, which ones do we have to pay? GST? Provincial taxes also or not?

Thanks

When I bought a 1400 points card at EBgames today, I had to pay taxes (cost 22.58 instead of 20.00) because I had to pay both the GST and my provincial tax.

I think the best cost-efficiency (without knowing if I pay taxes when paying from Xbox Marketplace) would be Amazon.ca because I only pay GST there, no provincial tax.

However, if we consider that the Xbox LIVE Marketplace headquarters are located somewhere outside of Canada and that the transaction is paid to there, I shouldn't have to pay any tax.

So it cost you exactly 20.00 for a 1400-point card, or 40.00 for a 2800-point card?

Strange. When I buy any of those in Quebec stores, I get to have to pay 12.9% tax on it.

Best bet is to try it online with my credit card and check if they charge taxes :P

Thanks for your time
