I could never get into Ecco. Maybe it was because I was only about 8 when I first played it, I just never had the patience to figure it out.

I have yet to play it on the next-gen consoles, however, I used to play the shit out of this game when it was on Genesis. I believe I still have it somewhere! I also have the Game Gear port as well! :p

I was really hoping they would release more on Dreamcast, rather than just one. :(

I think due to my age at the time I didn't really understand that not all games had to be fast moving explosion-fests so I didn't dig it. Of course all my time on that console was spent on ThunderForce IV and Gunstar Heroes so that might explain a bit...

the dreamcast/ ps2 versions were amazing, but the original and tides of time were so complicated it was hard to stay interested, well, thats was i remember of it anyway haha

I remember when I was a kid I could never get through level 2. I really should go back and play this.

ecco really frustrated me for some reason it was a game i kinda just left sitting there when i was younger because it was hard in places but i can see why people liked it

Ecco was one of those really cryptic old games where you had to exhaust every possibility or get the solution by word of mouth or a guide. Even when you worked the puzzles out it was still an incredibly difficult game. Speeding nose first out of the water and doing a perfect back flip never got old though.

I had it but I didn't "love" it. It was fun to a point but there's not much a dolphin can do. And it wasn't an easy game for me.

I never played it before it was on XBLA. i got it cheap and wanted to like it but got frustrated with it (as i dont like to follow guides) I havent touched it since. I might have to go back and give it another go.
