View Full Version : New to X360A but not new to Achieving...

I actually signed up a couple months back but I've been lurking up until recently.

I've been gaming on the Xbox 360 since launch day and been an achievement junky since I first brought the console home. Before the 360 my friends and I used to come up with challenges for various games and keep a list of who completed what, as well as a list of games we'd "killed" as in 100% completed... once achievements came out it was like a god-send.

I've completed dozens of games and written dozens of guides (none of which are posted here), so if anyone has a question about a game I wrote a guide for, feel free to ask and I'd be happy to answer.

I also collect "collector's Edition" games and run a website dedicated to that http://CollectorsEdition.org most of the pictures in the game DB are of my own games.

outside of gaming I'm a home-theater junky, I've got a dedicated theater room with a 106" projector setup 7.1 surround sound with over 1000Watts of RMS power (currently under renovation but I'll get some pics up once it's done) I've even got an ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 arcade machine (I worked as an arcade repair tech for 3 years).

I'm also big into cars. and my current project car is a 1995 Nissan 240SX that I'm swapping the motor on. The motor is an LS1 (V8) from a 1999 Corvette.

My winter beater is a 1999 Isuzu Vehicross:
(yes that is the actual plate :p )

and I have a "beater" car which is a 1993 Nissan 240SX convertible. It's been swapped to a stick-shift, and the front end has been swapped to the japanese Silvia front end

before you comment on the plate, it's meant to be ironic. the car looks like a POS but keep in mind I've got less thank $1500 invested in the whole car and that includes the original purchase price, front end conversion, drive train swap, repairs, and upgraded suspension... it's mostly a hand-me-down parts car. I'll probably get the dents fixed and the car re-painted this summer.

I do a lot of electronics projects too... those of you who subscribe to OXM in the UK may remember an article a while back about a custom Sega Saturn to Xbox 360 controller adapter... that was me :)

I've been meaning to get around to building an Auto-guitar hero setup but been too busy with other projects.

so yeah... that's pretty much all you need to know about me.

Hey mate welcome!!
That saturn to 360 controller sounds cool!

I could be totally wrong, but your gamertag seems familiar to me, did you msg me online sometime asking for a bit of help with death by cube by any chance?!!

Hope to see you posting around on the forums and getting out of them lurker habits! :p

nope, never even played death by cube (I had to Google it to even know what it was) I use the same name wherever I go though so if you've seen it before it was probably me.
