Yeah...
After the NXE update, every game on 360 can be installed to the HDD (and I guess if you really want confirmation, yes, all 3 disks can be installed at the same time, given you have the space)

The only game I know of that can't be installed is Crackdown. I have no idea what the hell is wrong with Crackdown, but I was never able to install it when I rented it.

Crackdown installed fine for me. Perhaps your disc was scratched? You did say it was a rental. But yes, as SoloEXE said; all the games discs can be installed simultaneosly.

I assume so. When I tried to install it, I got an error message immediately saying "This action cannot be performed."
Scared the hell out of me for a second. I thought my console was malfunctioning.

Wow, that is huge. By comparison, Mass Effect was 6.8, Fallout 3 was 5.5 and Oblivion was about 5.9. The sum of which is still smaller than FFXIII

Pity it didn't say the galaxy is at stake, and why don't you go out and fix it yourself.

You just need to install each disc, you can do each of them at a time if you're using something like a 20GB HDD as that's basically the size of FFXIII installation.

So it's like Mass effect 2?? You install the both of them and when you need the other disc it just asks and you switch.

Or do you just install them and it needs 1 disc the entire time?? ( Think of Forza 3 )

FFXIII takes up 18.3GB of space. That's all 3 discs installed at the same time. FFXIII is 18.3GB on Xbox 360 and 39.4GB on PS3, most of which are the videos.

PS3's doesn't have an install which I think rather bad.. for the old PS3s anyways, my 60GB is loud and is pretty much like a radiator once played for 30 mins, Slim experience is a lot better though.

Crackdown installed fine for me.
The game was still impossible to install a few months ago.

Things have changed with the latest dashboard update, more games can be installed and the HDD size for most games has been improved.

So it's like Mass effect 2?? You install the both of them and when you need the other disc it just asks and you switch.

We'll probably have to swap disks.
Forza's 2nd disk is more like DLC you can install (as in Oblivion GOTY).

But it'll be great that M$ make it so we do not need to swap disks if they're installed.
But for "piracy" issue, it'll never happen...

Yep u can install all 3 discs before u play the game and then you wont have to ever change them. However each is 5.9 gb so 15gb+ ofspace wasted on that.

Got this info from OXM

"The breakdown is Disc 1 is a 5.9GB install, Disc 2 is 5.8GB and the final disc is the biggest, at 6.6GB"

"So if you wanted to install all three discs - which would still require you to manually change disc - then you'll need 18.3GB of space. Bizarrely, the PlayStation3 version clocks up 38GB, so there's 20GB of memory strangely unaccounted for"

"which would still require you to manually change disc"

OR

"Yep u can install all 3 discs before u play the game and then you wont have to ever change them"

Which is it?

I love how people don't research anything before they post their thoughts as fact...

IF that was true, which I know is not, but IF it were, I would have 2 really happy friends. Meaning all three of us can install all three disc and each of us uses one disc to start up the game.
