I personally would prefer a sim, because F1 is about precision and not sliding about doing handbrake turns and what not, I think if it was arcade it would ruin the feel of F1

Has to be SIM!

Would be a waste of the F1 license otherwise.

There are plenty of arcade style racers to cater for that audience, I want the proper F1 experience with this one... but options for AI assitance would be nice, to ease you in gently to how the F1 cars drive.

Agreed, i would prefer sim, but because im shit at racing games I would like to see racing assists similiar to Forza, and which can be modified to suit level of player

I totally agree with you but I think Codies will make an arcade game with many sim options so we'll be able to switch settings to our favourites, I mean realistic :)

Sim of course, its F1!!

I'm sure you will be able to turn damage off tho, assits on, automatic for the average racer or people who prefer it to be like that!

I don't think Codemaster will make it an arcade racing game, because than they've got competition from Blur and Split/Second, and most people won't buy another arcade racer

It has to be a simulator otherwise it's not a true racing game! But I'm sure there'll be assists, maybe an arcade mode would be nice?

I'd go with Sim, makes it more intresting.

i hope its more is a sim in the way we can get the full f1 experience but i hope its more like forza and less like gran turismo 5(those whop have played the prologue will know what im getting at), either way its f1 so will be brilliant

I haven't really read up too much on what's in the game and I guess it's just about finished by now.

That said I hope it is simulation to the max with an arcade mode as an extra. Hope to see:

realistic car characteristics, all cars drive and feel different like their real life counterparts
mid season car updates to make your car faster
changing weather conditions
pit stop errors (delayed stops etc)

all of them are on the game.

you control the car in the pitstops, they are confident they have put in the most complicated weather system in any racing game ever, you get updates for cars, and all cars feel different. get more news and updates on the game at - http://twitter.com/T4RG4

Formula 1 is all about precision. So I would have thought the contract between F1 and Codemasters says it has to be sim. It makes sense to make it a sim anyway, most people who buy this game will be F1 fans so don't want to join a drift race online.

So yeah a Sim

I voted a mix of both.

Even if sim is more realistic, arcade could give some fun (i.e for multiplayer).

80% (sim) / 20% (arcade) is a good ratio IMO :woop:

i voted a mix as well...with my driving style...(pedal to the medal and all over the place) i need a little arcade in there....but i'm getting it either way!:woop:

It has to be, and lets be honest, will be a sim.

Well the game has flashbacks in it just like GRID and DiRT 2 so it looks like they are going down the arcade route which is disappointing for me. Flashbacks take all the realism out of the game IMO.

this games definatly gotta be a sim or it would ruin all of codemasters hard work (and are fun!)

note:i will be online on f1 2010 as soon as it comes out in europe ftw!:uzi::woop:
