COMPLETIONISTS: Please take note of the Free/240MSP Or Less section of the achievement guide. If you are uncertain about this game, I advise you to try it on a seperate Xbox 360 gamertag.

Well the Game Room is now open. For those who don't know what this is, the Game Room acts as a traditional arcade full of cabinets for gamers to play "retro" games from the 80's and early 90's. At launch, there was 30 games made available, with an announcement that there will be 7 games added every week, with up to 1000 games available total by the end of three years. It was also announced that when you buy a cabinet on it's release date, you obtain that cabinet's mascot free, which will help with My First Mascot. There is even a showcase room that you can visit to demo games, as well as pay 40 MSP for one play.

A token system is also put into effect for the showroom. Every time a someone visit's your arcade and/or spends money on a game, you obtain tokens. These tokens are free, and you get 20 when you first download the program, and can be spent for one free round of any game you choose until you run out.

Unfortunately, you have to buy some of those games in order to obtain all 1000 points. Microsoft has made the Game Room application a free download on the Live Marketplace, but each game is going to cost you. You are allowed to demo each game once, and each game has a set time limit for how long you can play it, though it's not shown on the screen. The following is the pricing plan available:

40MSP = 1 Play
240MSP = Own a cabinet on one format (360 console or GFWL)
400MSP = Own a cabiner for both formats (360 console and GFWL)

This roadmap is based on the lowest amount of MSP possible for you to spend on purchasing cabinets. You CAN win medals from just using tokens. These cost 40MSP each, but, you only get one play! So, unless you are a master of the specific cabinet, it may not be the smartest financial move. Obtaining all achievements in this program is not hard at all, especially since, in essence, you need only 10 cabinets for all medal related achievements, and there will be plenty of opportunities out there if you feel you may struggle on a game, or the medals seem a bit too hard to attempt. However, both the achievements and medals in this game are very time consuming.

Here are a few notes for those looking for shortcuts:
+ Point Buster and Survivalist medals can only be obtained through playing cabinets in Ranked Mode. If playing via the pay-per-play option, you automatically start in Ranked. Each game features the Time Buster achievement, so at launch (30 titles), you can only obtain 30 medals off-line.

+ Time spent playing works with just staying at the game's title screen through Casual Single Player mode. However if your controller shuts off, the game is paused, even though the pause screen doesn't come up. I will test this today with a wired controller.

+ Some games only have the Time Buster medal. A spreadsheet was created to illustrate requirements to gain medals, as well as which games only have the Time Buster medal. It can be viewed HERE (http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Ann6kq7uN6XKdFlkdmVWb3JTbjN5YWdNWUQxdmlod UE&hl=en), maintained by Edward Hyena.

This guide and roadmap is designed to help out from day one, looking at only the thirty launch titles for the Game Room. As time goes on, more games will be added, which will alter the way you, the gamer, can earn medals (as in more Time Buster medals that can be earned in off-line mode) and unlock achievements.

Step One: Freebies/Cheapies
If you want some quick points, go for the Free and Cheap achievements, be sure to download the Game Pack 001 and Game Pack 002 items from the Marketplace. Both of these are free and offer you some items to help you unlock achievements. The steps for these are outlined below in the Free/240 MSP Or Less section of the achievement guide.

Please note: [At the time of this roadmap] It has been pointed out the Game Room internal clock is off and causing people to struggle to obtain the achievement, registering after more then the specified one hour, upwards of three and a half hours later. Aside this, people are reporting that some achievements that unlock through GFWL appear, but then disappear when they sign out then sign back in again.

Step Two: Procure Your Grinding Buddy
You can obtain all the multi-player achievements by yourself through setting up an alternate gamertag on your Xbox 360 console or GFWL account. This process, which is outlined in Challenge Master in the guide, explains how to set up the necessary 20 challenges to obtain these in just less then one hour, even if the alternate tag is only a silver account.

Step Two and a Half: Ye Olde Grind
Unfortunately, once you exhaust your free and cheap achievements, now it's time to saddle up and spend/waste some hard earned money. You can obtain all the Time achievements just by playing the same game, but given the simplicity of these games, those will probably grow tiresome. Essentially there are 50 achievements you can unlock from spending money, and all achievements can be unlocked in your process to obtain the Level 20! and I Like Shiny Things! achievements, with Level 20! simply being unobtainable at launch due to a lack of enough cabinets available.

NOTE: HOW TO PLAY ATARI 2600 GAMES
Many x360a users have started threads inquiring as to how to start playing Atari 2600 games and that they are wasting money. When you load up an Atari 2600 game, you need to hit the Start Button, and then click the image that says RESET in order to start the game. Simple, right?

NOTE: GFWL USERS
Be warned that some people have reported through various threads that some of the Free/240 MSP Or Less achievements are glitched. They will unlock, but when you exit out of GFWL, the achievements will not show up when you return. This seems to be a common occurance for all GFWL games.

So, there you have it. Easily the 360's most costly 1000 points! If you have decided to take on this trek, it's probably best to look at it moreso as a casual 1000, and only to buy the games you truly love. Otherwise, you'll be lining Bill Gates' pockets with your hard earned money for a score that many may look upon the completion time and wonder if you feel proud, or ashamed.

THANKS GO TO THE FOLLOWING X360A USERS:
+ chriscutis for pointing out an easier method to earn the Challenge achievements.
+ Edward Hyena for the Medal Requirement spreadsheet.
+ And everyone on here who acknowledge/confirmed the alt. gamertag method to unlock Challenge Master!

Will be keeping a close eye on this. My desire for perfection on my game list is keeping me from playing this (don't want to unlock 1 free achievement only for the rest to require monies. Only decided i wanted perfection recently).

If they can be obtained via free games, please indicate clearly that they can be done this way, again, the same if they are "premium" achievements.

This is a big problem for alot of people. The medals achievements have to be on the games. So alot of monies is involved :(.

EDIT To the post below. There are 12 rooms in your arcade and only 10 themes. They all have to be different so that is why you cannot unlock it.

Fancy Arcade doesnt seem to unlock with the default themes - you might need to unlock every one available. I plastered all my rooms with a different decor, and nothing popped.

For that you'll need 12 different room skins. Not individual items in each room. Right now, you only have 6 available to you.

Don't you get 3 medals per 240? 48/3 = 16 x 240 = 3840 microsoft point?
Same goes for 500, 16 x 500 = 8000 Microsoft point?

Also, bronze medal is 2 points, well that what the info in the game says ( With french traduction )

Yes but you need:
20 points x 20 levels = 400 / 5 per gold = 80 / 3 per game = 26 2/3

so you need 27 games to reach level 20. 27 x 240 = 6480

so he is still off but def a lower cost than described.

MathGuy42

Do you start on Level 1? If so, then you'd only need 20 points * 19 levels to reach Level 20. That would take 25 1/3 games. So you might be able to get by with only 26 games.

Can't say i'm interested in this at all, let alone for achievements. I would never put 36 hours on this and can't think of putting that sort of time even when i did go to the arcades.

I'm looking at the medals and i'm wondering if each game has 9 potential points.

This thread just had to be read by mathguy huh. But yes you are correct.

26 games at the xbox only price still comes out to $78. That is with gold meddling every game on every medal so idk. cut the price in half and I would attempt it.

Yes, my math is probably off. This is just a rough draft of the guide and tonight I'll fix it up so everything is accurate as far as prices go. So far everything is right, there's one or two things I can't confirm yet so I'll check them out tonight as well.

Also, I'm aware it's 400 pts for multi format. Not 500. Was a typo when i did the math.

I tried to send a challenge to a friend but it won't go through. Otherwise, good guide so far and it would be good if you would add some games where the highest score is saved so we know which games to try for the highest score achievement.

Edit: Now sending challenges does work but everytime I press "Send Challenge" it pops up with a window to buy the game I selected -_-.

By far, the easiest way to hammer out any time-based achievements would be to purchase Adventure, play the easy level and use some tape or a rubber band to make your little dude run in the corner of the gold castle interior while you are at work/school/in bed.

It's also a free five points for the gold time played medal.

I used Outlaw to get the Blisters Achievement. When you play single player, the other guy doesn't move at all so you can go read a book or something.

I know the time medals for Outlaw are as follows:

Bronze - 30 mins
Silver - 1 hour
Gold - 2 hours

you got to spend ruffly $85 to get 1000 in the game... $10-20 more(in canada) than a regular game... and a 1/10 of the GFX not really a good deal at all.. going to get free gamerscore and maybe buy a game or two but no way going to spend more than $10..

There are 9 medals per game. Each Bronze/Silver/Gold for each type of medal counts. Ive unlocked quite a few already and can vouch for it.

Bronze = 2 points
Silver = 3 points
Gold = 5 points

Now If you have Bronze and break the Silver you only get ONE more point. You dont get 3 more points. If you get gold you get 5 total points.

As stated earlier you would need to buy AT LEAST 27 games to get all 1000. I say "at least" because that requires you to get Gold x3 on every single game. Most people wont be able to do that so expect to spend more.

Im sitting at 265/1000 right now until my challenges end.

Thats not what I meant. I meant in order for you to get all 1000 with only having to buy 27 games you have to get all 9 medals from each game for 15 points per game. Alot of the gold medals are hard. So if you cant get them. You have to buy more games.

Well guys, looks like the guide is just about finished. There's one achievement left I'm not sure on and if anyone has a method to unlock the achievement for playing one game for one hour straight, that would be greatly appreciated.

edit: Ok, done working on this thing for tonight unless an answer to the above question is found. I also took out the section of Time Buster medal only games. Edward Hyena has posted a link to a list of requirements for medals, which he said will also outline which games only have that achievement, so users can just use his spreadsheet for that.

Hey just wanted to say that I was visiting a friends game room and tried his game (Shao-lin's Road), had never played it so it ask me to play the demo, I did but no achievement. I thought the game wasnt bad so I bought it, went back to his game room selected rank match and BOOM achievement unlocked: The Player. So that confirms that you gotta spend them hard earned MSP to get this achievement as well. Hope this helps, Happy Gaming Everyone.

To answer how you get the play for an hour straight, what I did was bought the game Adventure and put a rubber band around the joystick and went and got something to eat came back and had "My Blisters have Blisters!" ( I think this is the one your talking about) Hope this helps, if not PM me on xbox live.

Right, you played the demo in your friend's arcade. The demos do not count towards unlocking achievements. After you play the demo, if you want to play againw ithout buying the machine you'd have to spend 40MSP. When you spend that 40MSP in your friend's Game Room, the achievement would unlock. However, if YOU bought the game for YOUR game room, and your friend has that same cabinet in HIS game room, you don't have to pay the additional 40MSP to play the game period, and the achievement unlocks that way as well.

To answer how you get the play for an hour straight, what I did was bought the game Adventure and put a rubber band around the joystick and went and got something to eat came back and had "My Blisters have Blisters!" Yeah I've been reading in other threads on here about Adventure. I've known about that trick since before Game Room, someone mentioned it in my original achievement guide thread (the 1st was a joke but proved to be quite true sadly). Problem is some people on here are reporting it doesn't work. I'm going to look into it more, probably sink 40 MSP into it and try it myself since I don't have enough for the cabinet now. Stupid Outlaw game... ><

not sure if this was mentioned, but instead of setting the challenges to 1 hour, you can set them to high score and 1 try (can still set to 1 hour, but full hour doesnt have to go by for credit). both people decide whos gonna win, then after both play it once the challenge is over and credited to the winner. You can do all 20 in less than an hour this way.

Yeah but don't you also have to buy a 2nd cabinet for your friend? or have at least 800MSP handy on the silver account for tokens? This to me seems like a bit of waste actually, but if the silver account on MY Xbox can play the game I bought from the Game Room free, then it's worth it. Doesn't quite make sense. Me thinks you're leaving a vital piece of information out.

I can confirm this, it's true.

Regarding not playing/trying this because "I want perfection", is silly imo. This is a kind of experienve which is meant to last fo a long time, as new cabinets/stuff arrive. I for once, always try to do 100% in all my games (no, this is not my main GT, I just don't know how to change it, here at x360a), but I do not want to rush this, I will play/buy the stuff I like and I'll be visiting this regularly. You might want to point out that a few achievements cannot currently be unlocked, because there are only enough medals to reach level 14 according to the spreadsheet linked in the guide.

These are: Level 17!, Level 20! and Fancy Arcade

The first two will probably be obtainable next time new games arrive (presumably next week), however, Fancy Arcade will probably take some time.
To unlock it, you need to unlock enough themes. To do so, you need to reach level 48, unlocking all the themes.

You can only get medals in ranked

The silver account trick for challenges works. If you buy the game, all acocunts on your console can add them to their game room and "own" it too. you can send 10 challenges at the same time and have the silver account pause and quit to get a score of 0. Be sure to set it to only 1 try. Go to your main account and get a better score than 0.
(this may take more than 20 tries because the game room cant always connect to the servers and you are forced to forfeit. this only happened once on my main account and about 3 times on the silver account.)
also crystal castles is good for this achievement to be safe and use the hidden level trick for a huge score.

the colored themes do not count for the theme achievement. it must be themed like a jungle or haunted house. "blue" and "yellow" like theme do not count (i tested this with the silver account and 5 unique themes) so you cannot get this achievement yet.

as stated you can't get lvl 17 or 20 yet either for achievements.

paying 40 points for adventure and using a rubber band will not count as time. after 8-9 minutes the game just quits and you have lost 50 cents

easy games to get all 3 medals gold (ive done these or just need the time gold)
-yars revenge
-crystal castles
-red baron

semi-easy games for 1 or 2 golds
-battantis
-shao-lin's road

maxing out 3 gold medals in 4 games will rank you up 3 times

You know, I'm still debating on that. I have them split up by free/cheap, time, and on-line/off-line. I'm still debating on putting The Visitor into the Free/Cheap section, I'll see when I finish the guide with the formatting.

Yeah, those three achievements SHOULD be unlockable by this coming week. However, you don't know how many will only have one medal ;) I listed the price up there, so if someone goes in to get the games, they should notice that it is impossible if they are likie Linktriforce and buy 'em all. The guide WAS put together to accomodate the current state of the Game Room, however it does cover it up until enough games are released no matter what your skill is with these games.

I should also put (skill based) next to the hours achievement since when enough games are released, and need to figure out if the Time Buster achievements would really affect the total game time when more games are released. I don't believe it will as the Time Buster-related achievements don't say they must be gold, just obtained generally is all.

Also, everyone confirming the silver account thing, yes, I went home and tried it and it works. I'll add that momentarily. Thank you everyone who mentioned and confirmed this.

A very very good guide considering game room has been here a few days. 5 stars for effort and the end result.

There needs to be higher degree of scruitny for the difficult rating. 2/10 is highly inaccurate and misleading.

Each game should get it's own unique rating as relating to it's individual Medal objectives. I disagree. The road map is for the achievements not certain aspects of the game. The difficulty reflects how hard the achievements are as a whole not a single game.

D4RKXPOW3R

2/10 seems accurate enough to me. Sure some games are tough now, and getting the full 1000 isn't easy...but in a year from now, there will be 500+ games to choose from, and lots of easy ones no doubt...so getting the full 1000 will be easy if you just choose all the easiest games to buy/play.

As the guide makes note- the 2/10 is meant for the least possible MS points expended.

The roadmap goes by the difficulty of the achievements. Not the difficulty of every game's medals. There are 30 now, and 1000 projected within 3 years. Meaning you will have 1000 chances to hit level 20 and only need 10 minimum cabinets to obtain the respective Points Buster and Survivalist achievements, and all you have to do is bronze them which the average gamer can do with 40 MSP. I'm not going to objectify this by the difficulty of each game. It's impossible and unneccesary. I'm at level 4 now with 7 arcade machines and only spent 4 hours familiarizing myself with them and the game play.

After all, these are games from 80's and many have set patterns you can pick up on the more you play them. We're not dealing with high quality AI zombies that appear 900+ on the screen to rip you limb from limb with only a katana to protect yourself. We're dealing with games that have squares falling from the sky you shoot once, or monsters/aliens that invader by dropping down and reversing direction. If these games had the same impact game-wise that, say, Ninja Gaiden or Dead Rising has, then yes, the difficulty rating would be higher. Much higher. But as I said in the e-mail, I actually wanted to give this a 1 originally because of all the chances you have to obtain that 1000 in the coming years.

I only gave a 2 because some of the games do, in fact, have some difficult goals, and for a good majority of the time, hitting level 2 will take more work then just casually playing a game and racking up time spent. Well, that and the play 1 hour continuously which I have not been able to personally verify yet and can't until my next pay check. Linktriforce obtained the achievement by playing Tennis but it didn't unlock for me. Given the problems people are having, I'm putting it in the glitched section. This is the ONLY achievement you may have to work at, but even then it's probably just tapping the A button every minute or two while holding the left stick back by whatever means.

Hopefully this post better details WHY I opted for a difficulty rating of 2. I thank you for making your point, but your looking at this as something much more complicated then it really is. Again, if you disagree, please, feel free to create your own guide and submit it, and we'll see who gets posted on the game's main achievement page.

I don't understand why people are saying 6K MSP's is "way too much" as it is pretty much the same as buying a new title...except the graphics aren't as good =p

To each their own though.

Theme an entire arcade with unique Themes
You already have enough unique themes available for you to unlock the Theme Filler achievement, but you need to unlock the rest. In order to unlock the rest, you need to level up and unlock them! You can view your progress from the Main Menu by going into the My Collection category. Highlight any theme with a lock on it to view what level you need to be to unlock it. It's unknown if future free themes will be made available without the need to unlock them.

I just unlocked level 12 theme "Heavy Metal" and thought I would get this achievement since I now have 12 themes to choose from. It didn't unlock though, so either the 4 colored themes don't count, or only 1 of them counts...but apparently in order to get the full 1000 on this game, you need to reach level 40! I'm sure they will be releasing more themes but who knows when that will be...and who knows if they will be free or not (doubt it, they even want you to pay for mascots, lmao)

Right. I didn't specify WHICH level you need to reach because I do not know the fate of the themes. Right now you do have to reach level 40, which is actually impossible to do. As far as I know, reaching level 20 is impossible to do. I figure if you just level up normally at this point, future packs may hold future themes which will either be unlocked by your level, or just there in general without having to level.

And as far as the mascots go, Microsoft announced in the loading announcements of the game that if you buy a cabinet on it's release date you get the mascot free. So, really you shouldn't have to buy one if you buy a cabinet, just make sure you buy one on release date. Stupid me, I had 7 of them and bought the one from Adventure thinking none unlocked. So, yeah, I guess it's for people who like the mascots but can't bring themselves to buy the game haha. That or to make a profit off guys like me who stupidly got it free but didn't know how to activate it and thought he/she got ripped off and up and bought one without looking. :uzi:THAT is the main reason I started this guide. Granted it's only fifty cents (USD) but still...that's 40 MSP! I could buy a useless gamer picture!!!

What's the maximum amount of Gamerscore you can get with only 240 Microsoft Points? If you buy a session each on 6 games you're really good at, you can get 18 medals and reach level 5, netting you a maximum of 355.

That is assuming you play only games with 3 medals, go gold on each one, don't spend money on anything else (i.e. mascots or buying a cabinet), and play at least one of these sessions in a friend's GR.
This does not count the time based achievements except the first two (1 hour of continous play and 4 hours overall). Should you actually manage to play 36 hours on just 6 sessions, you can add another 80 GS to that number, making a total of 435 GS possible on 240 MS-Points.

I think it's almost impossible to get 435 GS on 240 unless you have someone helping your ass out. As far as I know there's only 4 games you could actually play and just sit there without the in game timer going off or something, and that's Tennis, Adventure, Crystal Tower and Outlaw. Maybe more, I dunno, but those without a timer only have 1 medal anyway. You COULD obtain the 4 hour achievement, and even the 8 hour achievement if you do more then just hold the left analog stick in one direction since after a few minutes the game would reset itself if you do that. When you pay to play with 40MSP for one round you don't get the luxury of single player casual for time, it's only ranked. So, unless someone can prove they got that much on just 240MSP, I gotta wholly disagree with you on there.

Pretty much everything else he said is good, just, I'd forget about the time based achievements all together.

Oh and as a quick heads up the achievement details on the leveling achievements is sort of misleading. Not ALL cabinets have 3 medals to achieve as you know combat, Outlaw and several others only have 1. I just wanted to point that out so there is no confusion.

hmm, just saw that this was involving GS. normally, that be cool but im not into retro games enough to sit there and play for 36+ hours. no way. cancel this download. im just glad i saw it before i poopooed up and had to play through all of them, not to mention the monies which i see are now required to get 1000.

I think it's almost impossible to get 435 GS on 240 unless you have someone helping your ass out.It is possible, but I'd never even try - 36 hours in 6 plays means you have to play each game for 6 hours average.
So, possible, but completely insane to do.

4 hours however - if you go for the Blisters and the Time waster gold medals anyway, you should get it on the way - that said I consider it almost impossible to get Time Waster gold in one play in almost all of these games.
I'd say a realistic number is anywhere between 100 and 200 GS. Maximum is higher, but I'd be amazed if anyone actually gets there.

BTW: I just got Blisters using Lunar Lander in classic mode, saving while playing is clearly not considered a break (despite the game basically pausing) and rewinding did NOT affect my time. It's also a very good game to do this achievement, because it is slow-paced (filling the passing time rather well) and you can prolong the play by pressing RT as often as you like in classic mode.
Outlaw however glitched out on me when I ran it with auto fire on the Mad Catz stick, crashing the 360.

No. You upgrade from bronze medal to gold medal when you meet the more challenging criteria. But, this doesn't mean you get 9. Sadly it still only counts as 3 medals.

By the way everyond: GUIDE/ROADMAP IS DONE!!! Finally unlocked the Blisters achievement just playing a casual game. Just got one little tweak in the roadmap I'm about to do and I'll submit it later. Thank you all for the support, kind words, and those who contributed to this monster of a guide.

I was pointing it out for the guy that asked how many pts he can get for 240 ms points. I doubt hed get anything over 200 pts. You could buy 6 single play sessions and get the point buster ans survival medals for a game but not the time spent medals. Those require you to own them. So 12 medals tops. Thats 60 pts. Plus you could get the achievements for 5 point buster and 5 survival medals. Thatll bring you to 100 pts. Plus the free 80 or 85 pts for nonsense stuff. And getting to level 2 another 20 pts. so 205 max.

Itd be better to just buy a game.

you guys ever thought that this might be a full game in the long run? Like Microsoft planned that the entire game would cost around $100 to get all the achievements. It's obviously going to cost more when all 1000 games around but that's why they let you demo them so if they suck... you don't buy them!

Stop whinging, this is for hardcore arcade players who loved the 80s and 90s games. Not for poofs who are stingy with money.

But still, MW2 sucks ass for making the Stimulus Package 1200MS, I do not have a clue why they are doing this...

It seems, your GR is saved online with any of your friends able to visit whenever they want. Maybe you should mention this, it will save a lot of people frustration about nobody going online in this game.

I was going for the first of the timed achievements. The one where you play your arcade games for a total of 4 hours. I tried it on Armor Battle. I taped the RB so that the tank would keep moving forward. Then I watch the 2 Towers on blu ray and by the time I was done it still hadnt popped. I allready had the blisters have blisters thing. But I played the game from my collection and not from my arcade so I believe that you have to do it from my arcade to get it to work.

I found the easiest way to get the Blisters and Matchstick Eyes achievement: Load up Tennis and at the start where it prompts you to enter your name, disconnect your controller (hold guide button if using a wireless controller to get the option to turn it off) and then plug in a wired controller while holding down on the stick. It will continuously scroll through the letters without the need for a rubberband.

I heard mixed things about it. Some people can get it, some get kicked out. There's a link in the guide for Blisters that takes you to a thread where people discuss ways to get it, throw yours in there and see if anyone else can unlock it that way. If so, it may be a very useful piece of information.

I'm regretting downloading this before looking into the achievements.

loading it up earned me an instant 5 points preventing me from deleting it from my card (bastards).

the games out there right now kind of suck, the only one I really like is Tempest.

though MS has said they plan to roll out 7 games every week for the next 3 years. I guess I'll snag all the freebie points I can and then just wait it out for games I'll actually enjoy and buy those.

I've been able to get two of the time achievements, 1 hour and 4 hours, by just leaving the game sitting there. I only have the car racing game with the red car, whatever it's called. I'm using the Guitar Hero 2 controller plugged in because I don't have a wired controller or plug and play kit. I started in classic mode, started one game with the normal controller, then turned it off and plugged in the guitar, nothing happened and the game continued on once the guitar controller booted up. I then just left the game running and let the car 'die', then the game continued on 'demo' mode, where it shows the computer playing.

Now maybe it's the guitar controller because before when I plugged it into skate 1 for another time based achievement my skater spun on the spot as if the left stick was constantly held to the right. Now maybe the guitar controller makes the game think that a certain button or stick is held down and lets the 'demo' version continue playing without pausing the whole game, thus allowing me to get the achievements.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to say it, but I figured out an easy way to get the Survival medal on Video Pinball. When all momentum is lost and the ball is skidding between the flippers and the holes (meaning you're screwed), use the tilt to keep the ball going back and forth. Tilt use is infinite (it just turns off your flippers, but you can't save yourself at this point anyway), so just keep skidding it back and forth for the full three minutes and tada, easy medal.

Spend 36 hours total playing games in your arcade
For this you need to play games in your Game Room Arcade for 36 cumulative hours. You can also follow your progress by watching the Time Spender medal score that each cabinet has. Unfortunately you cannot just load a game and walk away from it, as the game's internal clock pauses after a brief amount of time.this is not 100% accurate, i tested it today, if you put on a game in your arcade, and you have a wired controller with an autofire button, you can simply put the autofire on you LT button/trigger, and then walk away. this does two things: 1. it builds up play time, since rewinding counts towards your play time overall; 2. it also builds up your time spender time for that game so when you actually come back to it and quit, you will have more than likely earned a gold medal. since you have to earn 20 time spender medals anyway, you might as well use this method to build up those three things: gold medals, time spent, and leveling up (since gold medals net you 5 points a piece, and this is effortless).

*Edit*
you can also do this on Ranking Mode and then autofire for the 'A' button, this will automatically start a new round each time you have a game over.

Tempest is also an easy game to get all 3 gold medals. For the points buster medal, start the game at the medium/hard/expert level, you will get a higher score = gold medal (gold medal is 60,000 + points). For the survivor medal, the gold medal is reached at ~2 minutess but you can save 8 seconds if you don't press Start at the level selection screen and you let the 10 seconds countdown end. For the time spender medal, well, play classic mode, setup an easy game with 5 starting lives and just use rewind when you die.

easy games to get all 3 medals gold (ive done these or just need the time gold)
-yars revenge
-crystal castles
-red baron

semi-easy games for 1 or 2 golds
-battantis

Man, Breakout (no super) is impossible for the point medal. I got bronze just fine, but scoring 100 points let alone 200 for gold is insane. The xbox controller makes the paddle go way too fast and it's very hard to control :(

Also: While Shaolin Monks is super easy to Gold in Survial and Point, it takes a whooping 4hrs for the time medal O.O. That is insane :( and I love the game lol

Anyone know any easy 1play games that I can earn x3 medals on? River Raid was super easy, I left the game on for the time spender and when I came back i simply decided to see how long i would last actually playing and i x3 Gold it. River Raid 2 isnt so easy though lol

That was my road to a 1000G

You'll find tips about these through a lot of place. I hope it can still help some peoples.

Game I bought (15)

Asteroid : GSG Had a lot of fun with this one. It's one of the few game I remember playing with my Atari back in the days

Deltana Twinbee : SGG Worth buying. +, not that hard Enjoy

Dolphin : GGG, bought it for my wife. For memory sake.

Food Fight : BGG, one of the game I had the most fun with. Haven't play it before but don't regret.

FrostBite : GGG, easy triple gold

Gyruss : SGG, lot of fun and memorys. As you have the same ennemy pattern every time, you get better really quickly.

Lunar Lander : GGG, some say it's possible to have it in single play but I still bought it. Wouldn't have had it on single play.

MIssing in Action : SGG, triple gold is possible. For gold time, stay a while at every step of the first chapter.

Rack 'Em up : SGG, Didn't understand how the points work so I withdraw before triple gold.

Red Baron : GSG, Gold time spender need the skillz

Shark! Shark! : GGS, well, didn't realize I had an easy 2 points do to here. Try the demo first as it's doable to get it single play as you rack up life pretty fast if you're good at the game.

Thin Ice :GGG, easy one. Not that fun thought, you might wanna go for something else to buy.

Tower of Doom : GGG, could have done it in single play.

Tutankham : GGG, buy it, easy after a little practise.

Video Hustler : GGG, this one, I kept trying 'cause I understood how the points work =)

Single Play
First, do not forget you can play a 10 minutes demo for all of these game. Always use it as it might allow you to grab some more medals in points or just understand which button to tap for them to work

Categorie : Tap a button 'til time spender pop up. Some game might take 2 sessions as the game stop before you reach time spender.

Activison Decathlon : 0GG, That's a game I could have got silver for point if I understand how to run for the first level. You have to mash the direction buttom back and forth, not only forward =(

Beamrider : 0GG, don't even remember playing that game.

Cosmic Commuter : 0GG, don't remember that one too. pressing a button every now and then isn't really helping on memory

Galactic warrior : GG0, you would have to play this one. Take the first robot and block every beam that attack you. It should do for double gold

Night Stalker : 0GG, go in and out of the first prison.

Pinball : 0GG, easy. Just it the button, or the joystick, again.

Riverraid 2 : 0GG, same as above.

Superbreakout : 0GG, same as above

Superbreakout 3600 : 0GG, same as above

Video Pinball : SGG, was lucky with the points as. But you can at least expect an easy 2 medals.

Categorie : 3 medals, hell yeah!!

Buzz Bomber : GGB, just follow instruction on someone else thread. To not shoot honeycomb and hope for bee hives.

Chopper Command : BGG, fun one read the comments on some else thread.

Crystal Castle : GB0 : well, if you're good during the demo, it might worth the try. I couldn't reach the fourth level to get time spender thou but still, use the secret passage to at least get the points

Laser Blast, GGG : Easiest game ever. Just try it.

Yar's Revenge : BGG, triple gold is possible, just don't fall asleep.

Categorie : Some say it's easy

Astromash : BS0, some say it's an easy GGG but I couldn't get close to that with a single play.

Gravitar : 0B0, don't know why, couldn't get in orbit around the earth.

Category : I got screw

Adventure : 000, bought 3-4 sessions of this one. To get time spender, you need to buy the game which is a piece of crap.

Circus Atari :0G0, the game will stop before you can reach time spender. For only 5 points, not sure it's worth buying

Pitfall : 0G0, seem like I wasn't very good at this one neither...

With each cabinet having three medals, does that mean one gold, one silver, and one bronze? Or is that three medals (each with a gold, silver, and bronze)?

The spreadsheet looks odd to me... with all the games that only have a stated Bronze medal for TimeSpender (such as Checkers or Casino) wouldn't the max points be 2 not 5?

EDIT - my bad, the spreadsheet just isn't finished
