I just got this off ebay for $15 used and I'm trying to play it and I have no idea what the fuck is going on. Someone mind explaining to me what I'm supposed to do because Live For You was so much different not to mention easier.

The guides on GameFAQs are pretty good and should teach you how to play the game.

As for the conversations, this (http://www.icomu-master.info/%E3%82%B3%E3%83%9F%E3%83%A5%E3%83%8B%E3%82%B1%E3%8 3%BC%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A7%E3%83%B3/Xbox360/%E6%98%9F%E4%BA%95%E7%BE%8E%E5%B8%8C) link tells you the correct answers for the Perfect Communications. Just click the girls name on the left under the xbox360 part.

15 bucks is a steal for the import of this game, I have not seen it below 30, and thats before shipping, Lucky you :P
You already looked it up I'm sure but here is a quick description.

The Idolm@ster for the 360 is a port of a arcade game of the same name. The basic premise is that you are the producer working at a 'idol agency' and your goal is to guide a idol (or two or three) from a no-name girl to being a top idol in the country.
This is accomplished by training them, 'communicating' and having them preform and audition.
Training them is done with small minigames.
Communication is done with long walls of text and choosing the right option when given one.
Auditions are another minigame.

I have played through part of one on my PSP, even after studying in Japan for a semester in college and taking Japanese in highschool, I struggle with all the stuff in this game. I can get the general gist of whats going on but the communication stuff is a pain since my knowledge of the grammar is so weak.

I actually see it on ebay for $22 now and there's never anyone bidding. Its a shame bc I know I would if I didn't have it already.
