I think its could look cool. Seeing as GL glows a lot etc I think it'll work!

UK, April 12, 2010 - We've had Spandex, we've had Lycra, we've had armour, and we've even had rubber with Bat-nipples. But if rumours from the set of the Green Lantern (http://uk.movies.ign.com/objects/040/040980.html) movie are to be believed, next summer could see the debut of an entirely new form of superhero suit in the shape of a computer-generated one.

/film (http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/04/11/exclusive-green-lanterns-suit-will-be-almost-entirely-cg/) is reporting that Hal Jordan's outfit will be fully CG, with star Ryan Reynolds (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/917/917185.html) currently acting in a tracking motion/performance capture suit that will be digitally transformed into the Lantern's iconic all-in-one in post-production.

Costume designer Ngila Dickson is apparently utilising such technology to set the film's look apart from the many superhero films in development at the moment, while at the same time reflecting the alien nature of the suit. According to the site, the outfit "will look like a manifestation of his power."

File this one under rumour for now, but consider us suitably intrigued.

In related - and more concrete - news, SuperheroHype (http://www.superherohype.com/news/greenlanternnews.php?id=9267) is reporting that The Closer (http://uk.tv.ign.com/objects/833/833042.html) star Jon Tenney (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/142/14243638.html) will play Martin H. Jordan, Hal's father in the film.

Speaking to the site, Tenney said "Ryan Reynolds is the Green Lantern, and when he is a young boy - like 11 - I'm his father. I'm Hal Jordan's dad. I'm very excited - it's incredible company... What I've read is amazing, and Green Lantern was one of my favourite comic book characters as a kid." [Source] (http://uk.movies.ign.com/articles/108/1083062p1.html)
