Today my 60gig 360 started to freeze every 30 or so minutes so turned it off for a couple of hours to only turn it on and get greeted with an E78 message and the RROD.
My manufacture date is august 08 and was purchased 20th dec 2008, so in theory i should have till august/dec 2011 to be covered by the 3yr RROD warranty right? Wrong!!!!
After about 20 mins talking to some bell-end on xbox customer support he claims that the 3yr warranty has been pulled and that i would have to pay for a repair.

Im 100% sure he's wrong does anyone know the real facts on repairs.
Also is there somewhere you can check the condition of warranty.
I have another console to use but just pissed if its covered but they wont repair it.

From what i can remember reading the newer Jasper chipsets are no longer covered by this extended warranty. The slightly older consoles should be covered. I suggest calling back and talking to someone else, if you get the same answer from several people, you may be out of luck.
