The reboot of The Crow (http://uk.movies.ign.com/objects/143/14305995.html) is apparently far enough along in development that the filmmakers are already considering locations to film in, with Detroit -- the setting of the ill-fated first film starring the late Brandon Lee -- becoming a front runner.

Mania (http://www.mania.com/crow-headed-back-to-detroit_article_122019.html) spoke with Crow director Stephen Norrington (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/917/917937.html) who advised the site that the Motor City is a contender along with Montreal. "Part of the new story is set in Detroit and we've been discussing the logistics of shooting on location," Norrington informed Mania. He added, "There are a lot of financial incentives pertaining to the visual effects to go to Montreal ... so for now it's an open question."

Thanks to its attractive tax incentives, Michigan has become a popular filming location of late, with The Detroit Free Press (http://www.freep.com/article/20100416/ENT01/4160345/Michigan-s-a-hot-spot-for-making-movies) reporting last week that Scream 4 (http://uk.movies.ign.com/objects/143/14312631.html), Real Steel (http://uk.movies.ign.com/objects/036/036856.html), and A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas (http://uk.movies.ign.com/objects/142/14269796.html) are among the upcoming films set to shoot in The Wolverine State.

The Crow is probably my favorite movie of all time. There is NO NEED to reboot this series or touch it at all. Why mess with a classic?

There is one man who can play Eric Draven or be a character like him and, unfortunately, he is dead.

Being the big-time movie fan I am, I really need to get on the Crow bandwagon and see the first one. I don't know what the hell is wrong with me!

Totally agree, I have only watched it a few times, but thought it was a phenomenal movie. Nobody could play that character as well as Brandon Lee, so why bother trying?

It is a movie from the early or mid 90's starring Bruce Lee's son Brandon, I strongly suggest seeing it. It's quite fantastic

I'm curious to see how this movie will turn out. In my opinion all of The Crow sequels weren't any good.

The original Crow film was fantastic. Brandon Lee nailed that role in the same way that Heath Ledger nailed Joker in Dark Knight. I haven't seen any of the sequals, but heard bad things about them anyway, so am not that bothered. But I am annoyed to hear that they are going to do a remake of this.

The original was near perfect and any remake, no matter how good, will be an insult to the late Brandon Lee.
