So my local radio DJs have been talking about this movie recently and I got around to watching the preview. I was horrified and intrigued at the same time. I don't know what to say about it so watch...

Be warned, you might find it extremely distrubing.

Yes, this is called the First Sequence, because there is sequel coming this year. Anyone think they would actually want to sit through this? Has anyone seen it?

I read about this a few months back on one of the websites I frequent. Looks interesting, to say the least. Though, I do enjoy movies messed up like so. Makes me want to go watch The Martyrs now for some strange reason. Even though their completely different movies.

This looks surprisingly amazing. I was thinking it was going to be some shitty Sci-Fi (I refuse to call it SyFy) Original Movie, but was happy to see that it wasn't. Definitely looking forward to picking this up. Hopefully it'll be on Netflix.

Unfortunately I don't have Comcast in my room upstairs, it's only downstairs, and I hate getting into movies on the big screen downstairs because there is always so much damn commotion down there between my three cats, my mom, my dad, and my brother. Watching movies in my room is so much better. :(

I have seriously been waiting months for this movie. But supposedly it comes out April 30th in New York and then it will branch out. Lucky for me their are a ton of hipsters movie theaters in the bay area so It should be here by May....hopefully.

This is weird...I only JUST saw this preview last night on my friend's computer, and now I just came across this topic.

Although now I'm a bit confused...because according to IMDB, it says it was released in 2009, yet I can't seem to find a highly rated torrent for it (and I had never even heard of it until now). Is it indeed already out, or is it coming out?

Yeah Netflix also says 2009. I'm pretty sure it says 2009 because it was released at many different film festivals in 2009 but not actually sold anywhere.

i saw a trailer fot this ages ago. but it was a different one. has to make you think wtf is wrong with some people when they think this sort of shit up.
oh and just so people know the sequel is supposedly going to be 12 people and not 3. this one is done to make people more "use" to the idea.

"The way Tom Six described it to me," says Williams, "was that in the first film he kind of held back, and in the second one he's gonna go full force. When you see the original film, the wheels will start turning and you'll be wondering how he could actually make a sequel to this? I actually don't know what exactly he's going to do, but he said at FrightFest in London that he wants to have twelve parts."

Well, I finally managed to watch this today...doesn't seem to deserve the hype I've heard about it, but there's no doubt in my mind that it's probably one of the most twisted movies I've ever seen. Ever. I would definitely not recommend this movie if you don't like sick ideas and graphic content...I was actually surprised at how much they showed of the surgery and such. Ewwww.

But aside from that, the acting in this film was exceptionally poor (with the exception of the protagonist, who managed to pull of his character tremendously - although, it makes me wonder what his friends, family, and other people that know him think of him after seeing that). I don't think I've ever seen a better portrayal of such a conflicted, messed up character than this Dieter Laser fellow. That said, the movie really wasn't anything special, and the ending is much more than a letdown; it climaxes at the end and offers some closure, but leaves a giant, gaping hole for interpretation as to what happens after it ends.

I also really don't know how the "sequel" is supposed to consist of twelve "patients", when the guy dies in the end. And also, will it somehow be tied into the original "human centipede?" Do you have to assume that the girl in the middle died anyways? So many questions!

PS - Spoiler tag FAIL. Sorry to anyone who read that didn't want to know.

Very good chance of a sequel.

http://gordonandthewhale.com/tom-six-talks-the-human-centipede-2-the-full-sequence/

I just got off the phone with writer/director Tom Six, who’s currently touring the press market to promote his latest grossfest/torture porn, THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (THE FIRST SEQUENCE). If you know anything about this film, then I don’t need to provide a synopsis.

Well, HUMAN CENTIPEDE hits select theaters on April 30 (and On Demand on April 28) through IFC Films, and there’s talk about a sequel, titled THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2 (THE FULL SEQUENCE). I asked him to give us a little information about the film and he did. Grab a barf bag ’cause it’s going to get nasty.

Interview excerpt after the break (full interview coming soon).

Let’s talk about the potential sequel. The first film is called THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE (THE FIRST SEQUENCE) – where do you plan on taking HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2 (THE FULL SEQUENCE)?

The storyline is still secret because everybody of course is still speculating what happened to the middle girl and is the Doctor coming back or something…but I’m trying to create something really original – that was my goal that hopefully people will enjoy very much [like] the first one. But it’s going to be like, a centipede of 12 people…bigger version. I always tell a joke at festivals that in five months it’ll be “My Little Pony [phone cut out here but added Jurassic Park in his sentence]. All the ideas I have, I couldn’t fit in part one…I wanted to let the audience get used to the sick idea and now I can use all my ideas and then fool you.

Acting is a pile of ass... Concept is just weird and they don't explain much fully..

It could have been better imo because the concept is interesting but atm its just an overly long "shock" video.

With the exception of the protagonist, I'd agree. Like most "horror" movies, the acting was, for the most part, completely laughable. But it also wasn't one of those big hollywood productions, so I guess the director had to manage with who he had to work with.

Yeah, seems like yet another torture porn flick with an incredibly absurd premise. It's just so anatomically stupid it's not even scary or disturbing, just dumb.

Actually, anatomically speaking this is possible. It is medically possible. The tagline is completely correct. The concept and that fact are the most gruesomest things about this movie.

I just saw this, it was not very good movie... The parts that made me cringe were when the heroine tore the syringe machine off her hand and the stair climbing with people falling apart. That and the doctor licking off all that ass blood was nasty.

Ending was pretty bad and basically ended straight into wall and with no room for a follow up. Honestly, how can there be sequel to this movie, I have no idea.

I was very offended by how both the females were the ones forced to eat shit too. And still, it was the guy who killed himself even though he hadn't had to do any of that or endure the pain, he had things easiest and he's the one who decides to screw everyone over. And he of course, becomes suicidal just minute before the police arrive and he could scream at them for help, despite wanting to get out for the entire duration of the movie. If he didn't care about whatever live or die, why didn't he just go with and attack the doctor, even if he had died?

Why did the doctor want to make the centipede anyway? Really, why did he want to do something like that?

Though, I began to laugh at the part where the guy began to shit and saying "Oh shit, I have to shit! Sorry, sorry!" and the doctor ran around screaming "Feed her! Feed her!" just because of how over the top that was.

Not really worth watching. Way over hyped. Is it fucked up? Yes, but not in any good way. It's not all that gruesome either, aside the few mentioned parts and the process or the result are never really shown, as the people wear these big puffy clothes that cover their butts completely, so you don't really see them attached or anything. The movie also completely halts, as they turn into centipede fairly in the movie and rest is just them fiddling around.

Oh well, at least it made a funny game.

I had seen the trailer prior to reading this topic so it's nothing new to me.
I have said to myself that I won't be seeing this movie, mainly because they show you the entire movie in the trailer itself (they could've at least left the image of the actual centipede a mystery for the actual movie!).

As for the sequel, I read that in it there'll be a centipede composed of up to 12 people.

They actually respected the medical details and possibilities quite well.

Actually now that I think of it, it's got glaring medical problems all over it. For example, the urinary tracts would have to be connected too to supply the "water" and the fact is, feces do not contain nearly enough supplements for body to function, as it's esentially "waste" and after product with most of the goods taken from the food. The two parts would have died in dehydration in half way about the movie.

Also, the main character would have gotten a serious infection for running around with that open arm during her escape.

The second girl who gets infection dies from it way sooner than one would really die from infection, along with absolute no tissue necrosis.

If you did like this movie and weren't thrown into a rage by the stupidity of the film, I hope something or someone knocks some sense into you. This film is not scary at all, despite what everyone says. The scariest this movie gets is when the 2 girls are alone on the abandoned road with a flat tire, and a weird pervie fat german guy rolls up next to them and tries to pick them up.....you know what happens after that.....NOTHING.

I liked this movie. Mini review follows:

While some people have reportedly said that this film is disgusting and sick or even depraved. I found it quite entertaining and enjoyed it. It's not the gore-fest that I was lead to believe, it's not shocking either. It's actually a clever film in a way and it's certainly not something that I had seen a thousand times before in different guises. Sure, the concept might well be stomach-upsetting, but what you see on-screen is no worse than sitting through an episode of some medical drama on TV.

Maybe my stomach is stronger than most people's or maybe I was hoping for something truly shocking due to the hype that had surrounded this film prior to me viewing it... Whatever. At then end of the day I enjoyed it and would love to see what happens to 'B'.

That said-- don't believe the hype at all. I went into this expecting something completely depraved and gruesome, and it was neither. Besides a quick surgery scene (which was seriously about 90 seconds long), there wasn't really any gore... and other than a "holy hell, that would suck to be in this situation" feeling, there wasn't really any cool psychology to the film like I was hoping. All in all, it was pretty lame, honestly.

I did not read through the posts in fear that someone actually liked this movie.

FUCKING HAAAAAAAAAAAATE THIS MOVIE! RAAAAAAGH *Cthulhu speak*

I'm inclined to agree with this fellow.

It was a seriously f'd up movie. Not great by any means but if you're watching this you should know already what you're getting in to.

I'm with you, this movie was fucking hilarious. I never expected it to be scary or gruesome. I'm happy with the movie, it was defiantly worth the watch.

I had to watch this on Netflix a while back and I have to say...Worst Movie Ever.

Maybe it's just me but I'm not a fan of mindless surgical disfunction like this or the Hostel movies. It's tasteless and just plain crude. It was horrible.

And I'm a fan of tasteless and crude, makes it fun, but this film pushes it.

I thought it was terrible.

I stopped the movie after she jumped in the pool and had the gate close on her.

To anyone who wants to see it without wasting their money, I recommend watching Daniel Tosh's quick summary of it.

This movie is a bad horror film. i thought it was more funny than scary, though people who have a weak stomach may not enjoy it, it is not a film to get nightmares from. If you do want to know more like he said watch Tosh give a summary.

I thought it was delightfully twisted.

you got to be sick and twisted to even write a script for this film.
