Bill Murray (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/913/913530.html) continues to confuse and confound regarding Ghostbusters 3 (http://uk.movies.ign.com/objects/150/150020.html), with the star discussing his potential involvement in the project for the umpteenth time, but yet again leaving us none-the-wiser.

Speaking to ComingSoon (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=65522) about the first two films, Murray said "We made a great movie and then we made another one, you know? So we went to the well twice and it's almost impossible to do the second movie as well. Only horror movies get better as they go along because they have more money to spend for more crazy effects."

Murray did admit that it might be fun, if only for the on-set camaraderie. "The guys are funny, and I miss [Rick] Moranis (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/910/910608.html), Annie [Potts] and Danny [Ackroyd]. Those people are some people that were really, you know, I miss them. I think that's really a big part of it."

However, the concept of Murray playing a ghost may not come to fruition, with the star revealing "Supposedly someone was writing a script where I actually got killed in the first reel and became a ghost, which I thought 'Well that's kind of clever anyway.' But then these guys that were supposedly the writers that were going to do it, they wrote a film that came out and people saw it and went 'We're not going to do it after all, are we?' So it's just kind of a dreamy thing."

I'd like to see the old group together again, it's not about the CGI or the circumstances, it's all about having those actors together and the comedic chemistry they create.

doing a third ghostbuster this many years later is tricky business. you know they are going to have to showcase new cast members to go along with the old cast or dare i say replace, and finding new faces that can share that same magic chemistry the first movies had is going to be a huge gamble. i think that HUGE gamble is what is scaring movie studios and is keeping the next movie in the dark

i think they should do it with the old cast.it would be a gamble but most movies are.

The ending of the video game left a perfect opening for a 3rd movie premise. Even using elements OF the game and making a movie would be a good script. I just can't see the original cast being in good enough shape to be lugging around the proton packs and running from ghosts.

I'd love to see another Ghotbuster movie, but I fear i'd feel sad like in Indiana Jones 4: main character old and some others dead ;_;

Honestly I'm iffy about this, but I'd also like to see it. I could see it moreso as they averted the crisis that was bound in GB2 and due to a lack of ghosts they retired. However because the threat from GB2 (can't remember his name for some reason. Vigo? The dude in the painting in GB2) comes back they are FORCED to suit back up to put a stop to it once and for all.

THAT is the only way I could see this film taking off. I can't see a new cast being trained to take over. Maybe later in the film or something due to, say, them being captured, and then they team up together to stop it. That'd be it.
