i bet many people r wondering this also but what is the least amount u can spend to get all 1000 without buying single plays

it's about $60 to get 20 of each medal and level 17.

for the 2 you cant get yet, you will need more games for level 20 and no word yet on the themes.

You need 380 medal points to hit Level 20.

If you stick with the three medal games that give you 15 points for all gold medals you can reach that with 26 games. Assuming the standard of rate of three dollars is maintained in future Game Packs you can reach level 20 and get that last achievement with $78.

Or you could just look at my achievement guide/road map where I break down all the prices and MSP you need to buy to get 'em ;)

In theory you could get all gold medals in a single 40g play per game, but realistically you'd need to purchase the 26 games to get them. I'd like to see someone get a timespender gold medal on a single 40g play! I guess if there were a LOT more games out, and someone could choose enough games that you could gold medal survival and high score on a single 40g play (forget time spender on a single play), let's see...39 games time 40g per play...that's 1560g, which is a hair under $20. Of course, this would take great skill and enough games for one to pick out 39 with a sure-fire strategy for the 2 gold medals!

oops, you'll still need 10 time spender medals! okay, no way to get around it, you'll need to buy 10 games (of course that's 10 fewer 40g plays potentially) let's see now (10 x 240g) + (29 x 40g) =3560g. $44-$45 ish...

my head hurts!

But also, you'll earn medal points from those time spender medals, further reducing the number of single plays needed. so new formula time.

380 medal points needed

10 purchased games provide 150 medal points

380-150= 230 medal points needed from single plays

230/10 medal points from each single play = 23 single plays.

(10 x 240g) + (23 x 40g) = 3320g or a touch under $42!

Somebody please shoot me and make me stop!

BANG:uzi:...;) hey sweatdog spare a thought for us brits...i was talking to someone in the us and from what they were telling me we pay more for our ms point, what u get for $20 costs us around 20 .not sure what the exchange rate is at present (around 1.5 $ to the )not sure how true this is as never really checked.. so if microsoft expected britts to pay full wack for ms point then we'd be paying a fair bit more

Yeah, it seems that with conversion rates, you Brits pay more for games both at retail and online. From what I understand, it applies to DVD's, Blue Ray's, and other things as well.

Of course, in reality someone's going to have to buy the games to get the medals, so my calculations were just an exercise in theory. It'll be nice when (or if since these delays of new games has me concerned over the future of the Game Room) there's enough games and themes for this to be completed. The realistic answer to the OP's question is $78. I also just now noticed that he did mention "without single plays" making my formula technically off topic. Oh, well, it was a nice mental exercise during a slow work day!
