LaPuff (<-for Genesis) promises a better Threequel!

While at this week's Cannes Film Festival for the world premiere of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (http://uk.movies.ign.com/objects/904/904642.html), Transformers star Shia LaBeouf (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/910/910681.html) made some surprisingly candid criticisms of the second film even as he promised the third movie would be better.

"When I saw the second movie, I wasn't impressed with what we did," LaBeouf told Associated Press. "There were some really wild stunts in it, but the heart was gone." The actor said that with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (http://uk.movies.ign.com/objects/948/948398.html) director Michael Bay (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/916/916941.html) "went so big that it became too big, and I think you lost the anchor of the movie." He stressed that the human relationships must take precedence over simply seeing robots fighting robots.

The actor promised a bloodier, more tragic Transformers 3 (http://uk.movies.ign.com/objects/143/14330866.html). "There's going to be a lot of death, human death. This time, they're targeting humans," he revealed. "It's going to be the craziest action movie ever made, or we failed."[Source] (http://uk.movies.ign.com/articles/109/1090073p1.html)

Cool ! Yeah, Megatron and co should start cleansing Earth now and wiping out the weaker species :)

Either that or Unicron pops up and takes a bite out of Earth instead so that it looks like an apple with a bite out of it lol.

Bt more blood and death is never a bad thing for an action movie IMO. Perhaps that can kill off Sam's parents ?

It's about time! Like hell would giant destructive alien robots come to earth and not massacre everything that moved.

Does he actually think the second movie is shit? Possibly. Although it seems more likely that he's just saying that to go with the flow and promote the next movie at the same time.

I don't think we need blood and more deaths. The first movie didn't have all that much and it was great. How about a good story? Or the best advice that anyone can give Michael Bay: LESS EXPLOSIONS.

UNICRON FTW!!!!
Me and my friend got pretty damn excited for some reason about unicron.... god I hope he will be in there.
Plus... i don't know... did megatron seem smaller in the second film... probably not. I loved though how they had so much trouble with him in the first one.... and then... you know... you saw the second movie.

I enjoyed the second film, although I also like the sound of where they're going with the third. I think the Transformers movies have a lot of potential for success, which means that they also have a lot of potential for failure. So far (in my opinion) I think they've done a better job of doing well than not, and I hope the next movie only steps it up another notch.

Just remember, Michael Bay, that no amount of CGI and special effects will ever make up for a crappy storyline *cough*AVATAR*cough* What?

I lmao'ed at this entire article, especially the "heart was gone" and "we're gonna make the greatest action film ever!" I wonder if they're going to increase the fart and dog humping jokes from 50 to 100? Will that make it more "action-packed" and "heart-warming"?

Shia Labeouf is definitely one of the worst 'a-list' actors i've seen in recent years. He over-reacts to every mildy intense scene and just never convinces me of who he's trying to portray in any of the movies i've seen him in.

I really hope this movie bombs, and bad. I loved the Transformers as a kid, and didn't even mind the first movie, but the second was just awful. And i'm afraid this one will be more of the same, or dare i say, worse? If Michael Bay's involved, then it definitely has that potential, i'm afraid.

Sweet a Transformer that will actually be good. Im sorry but I nearly walked out of the theater when Shia Labeouf came back to life after visiting robot gods or something. Transformer 2 was a joke.

It's this goddamn mainstream bullshit..... they got to make it so everyone can watch and understand it.... just a damn numbers game is all. The worst case i've seen.... Dragonball Z. It was done so bad, i don't think remake/sequel should ever be considered.

A DBZ movie shouldn't exist. Period.

I believe that all the CG in the world and all the stuntmen in the world wouldn't be able to recreate the true Dragonball Z we see in the anime and manga's.
Huge fan here, i've seen every single episode.... still need to finish off the movies.

Super pumped for TF 3! I'm a pretty big Transfomers buff, and am sooo sick of hearing gimps who watched a little Gen 1 when they were a kid say how it should be. I've enjoyed the last movies(okay mostly on the art/special effects level) and think Michael Bay should spend the rest of his life cranking these out. Granted acting/story/pacing aren't his strong suits and that's a BIG issue in the world of movies, but I don't think anyone could deliver the action and cinematography as well as him. If you don't like special effects then why are you even watching a movie whose namesake implies one?
