Matt Smith will shoot new scenes for the show.

The show promises to be a spectacular audio-visual experience featuring special effects, live music courtesy of a 16-piece orchestra, and appearances by some of the show's greatest villains, including the Daleks, the Cybermen and the Weeping Angels.

"This is everything I ever wanted since I was 11" explained show runner Steven Moffatt. "A live show, with all the coolest Doctor Who mosneters, a proper story, and brand new screen material for Matt Smith's Doctor. I'll be writing scenes for it, and probably attending every single night."

For more details, head to the show's official site: www.Doctorwholive.com (http://doctorwholive.com/). Kill me now! :p

Kill you? Rubbish. It could be good. My biggest problem with it is the the picture you posted of the Doctor makes him like a certain sparkly "vampire".

Or are you upset because you won't be able to go and see it?

Meh, when they resurrected the series I just couldn't find myself interested enough to enjoy it. Blah blah blah Tom Baker rules blah blah blah Peter Davies was great too blah blah blah...but something critical was lost in the process of bringing the series back to the modern TV viewer. Maybe it's my continual loss of imagination as I've grown older...but the series is far too contrived now.

Will it be the real actors? I had to go watch High School Musical with my niece and it wasn't even the proper actors . *sigh*

Dude, if you don't watch the show then why are you posting this article about it?

This definitely sounds like an interesting idea, but i doubt it'll be something long term. I can definitely see then using all the old costumes from the original Doctor Who, like the tinfoil Cybermen ;)

Because it's a interesting topic, other people enjoy reading it even if he doesn't.
