Just when we thought Marvel and Terrence Howard (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/917/917229.html) were done, word comes straight from the actor himself that he and Marvel have something cookin'.

In regards to both his future with Marvel and the role of Rhodey (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/142/14221345.html) going to actor Don Cheadle (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/911/911123.html), Howard told E!Online: (http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b181278_terrence_howard_robert_downey_jr_owes.html #ixzz0oJZqHG45) "Marvel and I are now talking about doing some other things. And Don Cheadle wanted to play [Jim Rhodes] before I wanted to play it, so everything is very well."

Now could other things mean Howard taking point in the new Luke Cage movie? If so, Howard could be pulling a Chris Evans (http://uk.stars.ign.com/objects/914/914210.html) and find himself with the distinction of playing two roles within the live-action Marvel U. Evans is currently playing Captain America (http://uk.movies.ign.com/objects/034/034020.html) in Cap's new live-action movie and before he took on the shield, Evans "flame'd on" as The Human Torch in the "meh" fests that were the Fantastic Four movies.

What else did Howard talk about in regards to his Iron Man (http://uk.movies.ign.com/objects/034/034317.html) days? The Crash star dispelled any notion that he had a falling out with the studio or director Jon Favreau.

Will Howard go from War Machine to Luke Cage?

"Despite the customary idea or thought that there's some controversy, it was a wonderful split and I know that they've done well," Howard said. "Robert Downey, Jr. was born to play that part and it was wonderful that that part has given him the stature that he was supposed to hold before."

Howard then went on to take credit for helping Downey land the comic book hero.

"For me to have recommended him, it means all the more so that I helped someone get to where they are supposed to go." Huh. Howard was a deciding vote in RDJ getting the role? And Crash is a "subtle" allegory about racial relations in L.A. *Smacks forehead with open palm*

Howard's talent will next be seen in a biopic about Nelson Mandela, as the actor will tackle the role Morgan Freeman recently played in Eastwood's Invictus.

I'm not knocking Marvel but a "Luke Cage" movie? WTF? Wonder if they will have "Iron Fist" as a supporting character.

Either way I like Terrence Howard as an actor, whatever he does will probably be good.

I can't agree more; I'm all for movies from Marvel, but could they not have picked something a little more mainstream? I know I know, usually mainstream is bad. But in this case, I think it might have been a safer choice...I know I probably won't bother myself with seeing this.

Heroes for Hire could be a great kung fu movie. If you read the Matt Fraction run on Iron Fist, it was amazing. Just make a great early 90's style Jackie Chan movie of it, that is all you need.

Hm. It was always being speculated that Tyrese Gibson would be leading the way with the Luke Cage movie. While Cage isn't one of the more popular superheroes, I think Terrence Howard could pull it off. Only time will tell though.

Would Terrence Howard really make a very good brawler type action hero? I personally don't think so. He's a good actor and all, but that role doesn't quite fit.

i agree i dont see him as Luke Cage, if anybody could pull it, it would be Terry Crews.

Yes!
That's what i think... he definitely has the build to be Luke Cage.... plus i think he deserves a big time movie role.

Good call! Just think of all those transferrable Office Linebacker skills. And he's just intense, period.
