Scoopers 'tidus1117' and 'Tommy' alerted us that Puerto Rico newspaper El Nuevo Dia reported yesterday that Fast Five (http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=54420), the fifth installment of the "Fast and Furious" franchise, will shoot on the island (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=66422#) from July to August.

Streets, neighborhoods and local offices will serve to represent Brazil, a country where most of the plot takes place, said the newspaper.

In the film, Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian (Paul Walkerhttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/2_bing.gif (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=66422#)) are fugitives being pursued by relentless lawmen. Diesel and Walker are being joined by Dwayne Johnson, TJ Hassan, Tego Calderon and Don Omar.

Directed by Justin Lin from a script by Chris Morgan, the Universal Pictureshttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/2_bing.gif (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=66422#) release hits theaters on June 10, 2011

I dont know what to say, I love the franchise too, but the first one was sick, the second one was marginally worse, the 3rd one was OK and the 4th one was appalling, its progressively getting worse.

so please dont kill it Universal!

Can't wait for this movie. Sounds like it will be what the last couple of Fast & Furious movies should have been (although don't get me wrong, I actually think I like Tokyo Drift the best, it just has very little to do with anything with the exception of how they tie in the asian guy as Dom's partner).

Unfortunately when a franchise makes this many movies, usually the series tends to go downhill *cough*SAW*cough* I wish it weren't the case because the first couple of movies were pretty good.

It's just as well; the first three are the only ones worth watching.

I also have loved all of the F&F movies, I know there isn't much of a plot but I just love to see all of the cars. On a side note, the Saw movies aren't bad in my eyes. Sure they have carried on WAY too long, but I have all 6 of them on dvd and just find myself wanting to see how the whole thing unfolds
