So from a look at that acheivement list it's the same as Ashes Cricket 2009, I was wondering if it was the same series, so that answers that!
If they've sorted out the dodgy auto-fielding this game could be really good, i thoroughly enjoyed Ashes 2009 and i don't really like cricket.

Yeah, this Friday. Hopefully it's not as bad as the trailers look but for 25 you (I lol) could buy worse (pure football, i'm looking at you).

Yep,18th of June.I'm guessing this is going to be pretty much the same as The Ashes 2009 just with extra camera angles.Disappointing show from Codemasters, they never seem to improve their cricket games:mad:

Yes very similar, Tutorials probably took close to an hour to get through all of them. biggest change is probably the camera angle, its probably some where close to the camera angle Skate uses.
All in all though it seems quite a solid game, no one online at the moment, and appears to still have made up player names. At least when i've selected one of the all star teams.

Cool, thanks for the info.I didn't think there would be much change or improvements to it.I will probably get it,it's only 25 any way.

I just wish EA would do a cricket game, their 2005 version for xbox was decent.Codemasters just seem to churn these games out without actually making any improvements.Even the achievement list is basically the same...that's just pure laziness.

A few hours on the game now and 475G racked up. I think theres 40G that will be quite tough (Hatrick & hit 6 sixes) The rest are all very obtainable though you have to play all matches, i tested out simming through to the final to see if that worked but didnt.

Can you save after every ball like you could in Ashes 09? If so, the 6 sixes and hat trick are much easier.

Mine should be here today at some stage, I think last years game took about 10 hours to 1000 so I should be sitting on 100% later tonight :)

It's exactly the same as Ashes 2009 with the addition of the 'Action View'

The same crappy glitches with the fielders, the same impossible ball you can use to stop the opposition scoring and the same shoddy graphics. Only England and Australia are the official teams, everyone else is a close approximation of their namesake.

I'm trading mine in at cex today for 3 more than I paid for it so at least that's something. It's also the last Codemasters cricket game I'm buying. Honestly, if you're not sure about buying this and you have Ashes 2009 then save the money - better yet put it towards a PS1 and buy Brian Lara Cricket for that as it's still the best cricket game out there.

Oh yeah,I'm not complaining about the price;) I'm sure I paid the same price for The Ashes 2009.

By the sounds of all the comments here,I would think you will be able to.Those two are probably going to be the most difficult achievements, along with dismissing the same batmens twice for a golden duck.

Yes you can. I did it yesterday to get the 6 sixes achievement and then offloaded it today in HMV for 27 so I actually made a profit on the game

Its ridiculous this game wasn't released in Australia at the same time as Europe.

I cant see how saving it to releases around the time of the Ashes would help sales.

If anything releasing it early than doing additional marketing around the Ashes could even increase sales.
